FAMILY PROFILE
Bradshaw Family Home: Mtn. Grove, MO (Wright County)
I was diagnosed with cholestasis at 32 weeks pregnant, meaning
our son would have to be delivered at 36 weeks and probably need a little support after delivery. Henry Sawyer Bradshaw was born June 30, 2018 and spent two weeks in the NICU at Cox South. He required oxygen and had low blood sugar that needed to be monitored. Henry was doing better every day, but he still needed to be cared for. Living 60 miles from Springfield, we were not sure what we would do. The Ronald McDonald House gave Jared and I a place to rest, eat dinner, and make friends, which was a major stress reliever. We were able to stay every day and evening with Henry in the NICU and overnight at the Ronald McDonald House. Then, when I became a bit homesick, Gus (our two-year-old) was able to come stay with us, which really made us feel better. During a time of high stress and worry, we were well taken care of. The RMH staff and volunteers who provided dinner each night, were all wonderful. They were friendly, caring and made sure we had everything we needed. The Ronald McDonald House provided my family a home away from home when we needed it most, and we are thankful to everyone at the RMH for the care we received.
