All bookings for school coach routes can be made by contacting the school after viewing them at rmsforgirls.vectare.co.uk. The website also incorporates an interactive journey planner which allows you to enter your postcode and find your closest bus stop.
This guide provides an overview of the school coach service network and contains further details including fare and timetable information. If you have any further questions on the network, please do not hesitate to contact Elaine Hoile at bursarspa@rmsforgirls.com.
The late service is also on the website, and should you need to book this service this can be done via the school portal.

1. This agreement is made between all school coach passengers, their parents and The Royal Masonic For Girls (RMS For Girls) in order to provide safe, comfortable and civilised journeys for all passengers.
2. Arrangements for child’s journeys to and from school are the responsibility of their parents. To assist with discharging this responsibility, RMS provides a school coach service. Parents are responsible for their daughter at all times including both prior and after boarding and alighting.
3. Transport on the school coach service must be arranged in advance and is billed via the termly fee bill in advance.
4. Bookings on the school coach service are non- refundable in the event of a pupil failing to travel.
5. All bookings for school bus routes can be made by contacting the school after viewing them at rmsforgirls.vectare.co.uk
6. Each pupil for whom an online form has been submitted will be added to a coach list detailing the service they travel on, their bus stop and what travel has been paid for. Their name will appear on a list, which will be checked by the driver.
A £20 charge is levied per single journey for individual trips depending on location.
9. No pupil is permitted to travel on the school coach service if not pre-booked for that coach. Other arrangements for journeys to and from school must be made by them or their parents.
10. Pupils must travel to and from RMS in full school uniform (except on approved non-uniform days).
11. Pupils should be at the bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled time of departure, to ensure they do not miss the service
12. Good conduct is required at all times. Shouting, use of foul language, dropping litter, playing music, or any other misbehaviour is strictly forbidden.
13. Except when embarking or disembarking, all passengers must remain seated with their seat belts fastened correctly.
• The price band for each route depends on the bus stop used – please see the pages below with the bands set out for each bus stop.
• Please be aware that priority will be given to pupils booking onto the coach services for return journeys 4-5 times per week.
• The minimum price per journey illustrated assumes that parents make full use of the service for the maximum days in the relevant band.
• A half-term’s notice is required should you wish to withdraw your daughter from the coach service.
• Parents may swap between bus routes on relevant days subject to availability with no additional cost, but the school must be notified in advance.
• Where a route has an associated late coach, this can be used at no additional charge providing return or full service has been booked, but we will require parents to notify the school where the late coach will be used so we can ensure the vehicle is appropriately sized.
• Ad hoc journeys are chargeable at a flat rate of £20 per journey.
7. It will be the parent’s responsibility to inform the school via the Contact Us form on the website if they no longer wish for their daughter to use the school coach service. A half terms’ notice must be given by a parent prior to the removal of a pupil from the school coach service.
8. If you wish for your daughter to use the school coach service on an adhoc basis, or to vary the details of their coach travel as a one-off, please contact ElaineHoilebursarspa@rmsforgirls.com
14. Whilst on a school coach, all passengers must accept, without question, the authority of a RMS member of staff, transport company official or coach monitor who may ask them to obey any reasonable instruction such as to pick up litter, desist from certain actions or to move to a different seat.
15. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in disciplinary action, including temporary or permanent withdrawal of permission to use the school coach service.
16. RMS aims for 95% of journeys to operate within the transport industry window of tolerance of one minute early to five minutes late, however timings may vary due to traffic conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Drivers will not wait past the scheduled departure time.
