Unlocking the Secret to Beautiful Skin and Hair

O

ne step into the beauty section of your neighborhood drugstore will reveal an abundance of different cleansers, moisturizers, and more. These products promise you perfect skin and hair – ridding you of problems ranging from wrinkles, blemishes in skin, and split ends and damage in hair. Despite this, did you know that many of these products could be causing the very problems they promise to fix? One major cause lies in one commonly overlooked factor in beauty products – potential hydrogen – or pH. Potential hydrogen describes the acid-alkaline ratio of a substance. This ratio can

4  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH SEPTEMBER 2017

be anywhere between 0 (very acidic) to 14 (very alkaline). Pure water has a pH of around 7 – consider this neutral on the pH scale.

designed to be gentle on your skin and mind its delicate pH balance.

Both skin and hair naturally prefer a slightly acidic environment. Skin’s optimal pH should be around 5.5, while hair’s optimal pH is around 4.5-5.5. Richway’s Alkal-Life 7000sL™ offers a pH 5.5 setting. The Alkal-Life 7000sL™ will turn your water into the perfect complement to your beauty regimen. Alkal-Life’s pH 5.5 water can be used to both tone the skin and condition the hair and can help restore/maintain their balance. Richway’s Pure C Serum™ with Amethyst is also tuned to a slightly acidic pH of 6.5 which is

Skin has a barrier called the acid mantle. This barrier is responsible for locking in moisture and oils while keeping bacteria and toxins out. Skin’s optimal pH should be around 5.5. This allows the acid mantle to function at its best.

Skin

A 2010 study published in the British Journal of Dermatology revealed that women with an alkaline outer layer of skin developed more fine lines, crow’s feet and wrinkles than those with more acidic skin. Furthermore, the study reported that those with

liza5450©123rf.com

alkaline skin were more prone to damage. Those with skin that is too alkaline may notice rough and dry patches. Although less common, skin which is too acidic is problematic as well. Skin which is too acidic will usually suffer from increased breakouts, irritation, and be more sensitive to skin products (you may notice burning or irritation when applying your moisturizer, for example). What you apply to your skin directly affects its pH. Many cleansers are alkaline – ranging from a pH of 9 to 12. These cleansers are very drying. Every time you use a high pH cleanser, your skin is being subjected to a disruption in its pH balance. When you wash your face with your preferred cleanser and notice that your skin feels very tight and dry afterword, your cleanser may be too alkaline. Your skin may also appear dull and look less plump and full. The Alkal-Life 7000sL™ can transform your average tap water into a powerful tool to use in your beauty regimen. Use pH 5.5 AlkalLife Water to tone and maintain

your skin’s pH balance. The pH 5.5 setting on the Alkal-Life 7000sL™ is designed to convert your water’s pH to a level which closely matches your skin’s. This will give your skin a bright, plump, and dewy appearance. In addition, our Pure C Serum™ with Amethyst has been formulated to a pH of 6.5. This slightly acidic pH was carefully considered to minimize disruption to your skin’s pH levels. Use our Pure C Serum™ alone or with the Rejuvena Premium™ in Ion Treatment Mode. It contains powerful antioxidants which are designed to reduce the appearance of aging and sagging skin. Our latest formulation is paraben, fragrance and oil free. Hair The ideal pH level of hair is also similar to that of the skin. Hair should be kept at a pH between 4.5 and 5.5. Bringing the pH of hair down to an acidic state will cause the hair to contract and the cuticle to close. Bringing the pH level of hair to a more alkaline state will cause it to swell and the cuticle to open. If the pH of hair is brought to an excessively acidic (below

pH 3) or alkaline (above pH 9.5) state, its structural integrity will be compromised, and it will contract or expand to a point that it will become damaged. A 2014 study published in the International Journal of Trichology looked at the pH of shampoos and how they affect the hair. The study concluded that an alkaline pH may increase the negative electrical charge of hair’s fiber surface. This, in turn, may lead to cuticle damage and fiber breakage of the hair. The study also indicated that shampoos with a lower pH may cause less frizzing of the hair. Use pH 5.5 Alkal-Life Water to maintain the balance of your hair’s pH. By using pH 5.5 Alkal-Life Water in your hair after washing, you will experience noticeably smoother, softer, more lustrous hair. Beauty TIP! Fill your Rejuvena™ Premium misting bottle with pH 5.5 Alkal-Life Water. Generously spray the water on your face during the cleaning (peeling) step. SEPTEMBER 2017  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  5

Minutes to Luminous Skin We all love to be pampered, but it is impossible to find the time within our busy lives. You can save the big bucks you’d spend at the salon by doing this simple spa session in the comfort of your home. For as little as ten minutes a day, your skin can be clean, healthy, and glow radiantly. Improve these skin conditions with daily usage:

Function 1. Peeling - Gentle Deep Cleaning Sonic Cleaning

Sonic vibrations effectively dislodge sebum and other impurities from your skin. These gentle frequencies deeply penetrate and clean out your dirty pores in areas that face cleansers can’t reach. Blackheads, whiteheads, makeup, dead skin cells, excess oil, and other debris are loosened and flushed out as the Rejuvena™ Premium passes over the skin.

The Rejuvena™ Premium has been upgraded with a goldplated blade, since it is a great conductor of energy and will not affect those with metal allergies.

How does it compare to other devices? On Sensitive Skin Using a face brush can lead to broken capillaries, excessive dryness, irritation and redness from its abrasive scrubbing motion. Facial brushes work similarly to industrial carpet cleaners. Would you want a scrub pad rubbing and scratching your delicate skin? The Rejuvena™ Premium gently and deeply cleans by using sonic vibrations and red and blue lights. There is NO irritation or abrasive action from our smooth, gold-plated blade. Bacteria Face brushes can stay moist and trap debris and bacteria. The Rejuvena™ Premium is more hygienic and cleans up easily by wiping the blade with rubbing alcohol and closing the cap. Save Money Using a face brush will leave you with an empty wallet. There are many types of brush heads to buy for the various functions and skin types. If you want a deep cleanse, you need the deep cleaning brush. If you have sensitive skin, you need the sensitive skin brush. To make matters worse, brushes wear out over time and need to be replaced regularly. Think of them like a toothbrush. The Rejuvena™ Premium has a gold-plated blade which never needs replacement. With three modes packed into one state of the art package, once purchased, you will be able to deeply clean, improve dullness, and boost radiance all in one session.

How to do it – A spa like treatment

Step 1 - Deeply clean dirty pores and remove e

excess oil and debris Press and hold the Rejuvena™ Premium’s power button to turn it on. Once it is powered on, press the button again to initiate the Peeling Mode. Make sure your hand is in contact with the gold strips on the side of the device. Follow the directional lines in illustrations 1-4. The gentle peeling function only works with wet skin. Use the included spray bottle and fill it with water. We recommend pH 5.5 Alkal-Life Water, which resembles the ideal pH of your skin. Learn more about the importance of skin pH and how the Alkal-Life 7000sL™ water ionizer can help keep your skin in prime condition by clicking here. Sonic vibrations will dislodge sebum and other impurities from your skin with each pass. While misting your skin with the water to keep it moist, use a gentle sweeping motion around your cheeks, forehead, and nose.

Step 2 - Soothe troubled skin Wipe the blade with a clean cloth, then switch the device to the G-Blue function. Apply a layer of your favorite serum or moisturizer to your skin. We recommend our Pure C Serum™ with Amethyst. It has a pH of around 6.5 and does not contain parabens or fragrance, which are irritating and bad for the skin. Flip the Rejuvena™ over so that the flat side is against your skin. Gently glide the blade over your skin. A blue light will appear as the blade touches your skin, and the device will emit negative ions that allow the active ingredients in the products to penetrate your skin at a deeper level.

Step 3 - Radiance boost Wipe the blade with a clean cloth, then switch the device to the G-Red function. Apply your favorite nourishing serum, such as our Pure C Serum with Amethyst, to your face. Using the flat side of the blade, gently glide the blade over your skin. A red light will appear as the blade touches your skin, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate your skin leaving you with a youthful glow.

Happiness Starts With You At times, it seems impossible. Whether it’s stress at work, mounting bills, or relationship problems, it’s not easy (or realistic) to have a positive mindset at all times. Having our ups and downs keep us grounded to reality. What is not healthy, however, is dwelling on negativity to the point that it defines you and your life.

A

positive outlook has a strong correlation to overall happiness. Happiness has a strong correlation to success. It’s all about perception.

Research has shown that maintaining a positive thought process reduces stress and even reduces the risk of many health-related issues. As a result, happiness is linked to a longer life. Studies have also shown that positive work cultures are more productive. What can you do to promote a positive attitude? How can a positive attitude and happiness contribute to your health and Richway business? It’s all about perception It’s easy to become trapped in the endless cycle of negativity. It could manifest from a negative event that has occurred in your life. Maybe, you were unable to accomplish a goal or things didn’t work out as planned. Instead of moving past the disappointment, you dwelled on it, and those negative thoughts manifested into a negative attitude. This negative attitude causes you to expect failure and disappointment, and that is what you end up with. The cycle continues. Negativity then becomes a habitual reaction. A negative attitude attracts negative results. Carrying around negative thoughts all the time will only yield negativity. There is no other plausible outcome in this equation.

The same holds true with the Richway business. Rejection is to be expected. For every five potential clients you introduce the Biomat® and Richway business to, you might gain just one sale or enrollment. It’s how you view that rejection which will determine the success of your business. By believing and accepting that the rejections you face are because of your own faults which are out of your control, you cannot grow and will eventually lose confidence – believing the business is not for you. By taking your rejections as a learning experience to better tune your approach to various types of people, personalities and scenarios, you will find that you, in fact, are capable of making your business successful. As you keep an open mind and optimistic attitude, you will have the courage to learn through experience. Soon, you will

14  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH SEPTEMBER 2017

find that you CAN prosper. You will find it easier to approach people and explaining the benefits of the products and the potential in the Richway Compensation Plan with each attempt. Attitude directly affects performance Martin Seligman of the University of Minnesota conducted studies which revealed a correlation between attitude and performance. In one specific study, Seligman observed insurance sales representatives. Seligman recorded how positive or negative each representative was in their work. For example, he examined whether each representative thought their failed sales were caused by their own personal deficits out of their control or something that could be improved with determination

in the future. The optimistic representatives who took their failures as learning experiences sold 37% more insurance policies than the pessimists. Conversly, the pessimists were two times as likely to leave the company in their first year of employment. Studies indicate attitudes impact health, too While no research has found the mechanism in which negativity affects health, studies have shown that the link between the two exists. Research done by the Mayo Clinic demonstrates that optimists live longer and have a lower risk of heart disease. Research done at the University of Colorado and Yale has shown that pessimism is linked to a weakened immune response to tumors and infection by the body.

“Those who wish to sing always find a song.” – Swedish Proverb Where do you start? While the solution is clear, it is not possible to simply “flip a switch” and have a positive attitude. The first step is recognizing that you are the pilot of your attitude. Your attitude determines your thoughts and actions. These thoughts and actions determine your outcome – whether negative or positive. Once you recognize the importance of the role you play and the significance of your mindset, you can then move toward achieving a positive one. You may not always have the power to control what happens in your life, but you do have the power to control how to respond to what happens in your life. You can choose to sulk and give up all hope when something bad happens, or you

can find the strength and courage to move past the negativity and focus your energy on remaining positive and doing productive things to better your life. While the past cannot be changed, your future is in your hands. Take some simple steps to help you feel good about yourself. Create a journal. Before bed, recall your day’s events. Jot down every accomplishment you can think of – no matter how small. Make sure to look back at these entries often. Think of ways that you can add to this list of accomplishments and how you can replicate them. If you find yourself in a pickle, step back, look at the situation and see if you can apply any of your previous methods to current obstacles. Why is this effective? When we recall a positive experience, this stimulates our brains to release

dopamine and route it to the striatum and prefrontal cortex, which are two sections in the brain that signal motivation and reward. Dopamine is a chemical which has a biological connection to our motivation to accomplish. By recognizing your accomplishments, you are training your brain to have dopamine produced and flow to the proper channels. Try not to focus on the negatives that could happen in a situation and start thinking about what could go right. We often limit ourselves and refrain from trying because we are too consumed with what could go wrong. Think about what you’d like the outcome to be and believe that it’s possible. By doing so, you will open your mind up to conceiving ways of getting there. SEPTEMBER 2017  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  15

Leading By Example Gail Soucy Royal Family ISA and Managing Director Richway has been in business for twenty years, and in the last thirteen of those years, Royal Family Independent Sales Associate (ISA) and Managing Director (MD) Gail Soucy has been a part of it. Through her positive attitude, robust leadership skills, and vast product and business expertise, Gail has been instrumental in leading Richway ISAs across the United States and abroad toward success and wellness. Furthermore, Gail is one of Richway’s most prominent and successful ISAs. How did she get to where she’s at today? What tips does she have for ISAs? We take a look at her story in this feature.

16  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH SEPTEMBER 2017

SEPTEMBER 2017  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  17

Before Richway, Gail had a wholesome career in graphic design which she had cultivated for over two decades. She worked for two graphic design firms before creating her own design company – producing work for a local utility company, non-profits, real estate firms, and more. Transitioning from a 22-year career in graphic design to multi-level marketing with Richway was like night and day at first. Gail joined and gained some experience in the multi-level marketing realm through Mary Kay a few years prior to Richway. Looking back, Gail attributes Mary Kay in providing her with leadership training, practice in public speaking, team leading skills, and network concepts. These skills are vital to succeeding in the Richway business and are a part of what makes Gail a well-rounded ISA and one of Richway’s most prominent Managing Directors.

At first, Gail did not intend on pursuing the business opportunity offered by Richway. She would simply share what was, in her eyes, a powerful healing tool unique to anything seen on the market with friends and family. In doing so, most everyone she shared the Biomat® with purchased one. In turn, those who bought from Gail would share the Biomat® with those close to them, and they would purchase one or more as well. “After a year of sharing and purchasing activity, I viewed my Richway income and realized it was time to work the Richway business full-time. In retrospect, I still cannot believe I decided, without any angst, to discontinue my 22-year graphic design career to focus solely on the Biomat®,” said Gail.

“After a year of sharing and purchasing activity, I viewed my Richway income and realized it was time to work the Richway business full-time.”

Gail’s early days with Richway Gail spent her early days having those close to her try her very own Biomat® Professional that was on her bed. Once she reached out to all of those close with her, she purchased a second Biomat® as a demo to show to some of her more distant friends and acquaintances.

In December of 2004, Gail received a “mysterious phone call” on New Year’s Eve. At first, she wondered whether to answer the phone or not. Little did she know at the time “I would let them have [the that this would turn out to be Biomat®] for a week, and one of the best life decisions most just had to have their she could have made. A own. I would talk with anyone Richway ISA by the name of about the Biomat®: in line Tao Temple was in search at the grocery store, fellow of a graphic designer to put together a Biomat® exercisers at the gym, dry cleaners, classmates in brochure for Richway marketing purposes. yoga, ladies in the golf league – every place I went, I was spouting Biomat® excitement,” explained Gail. Through this inquiry, Gail learned about the science behind the Biomat®. Plagued by her own health In addition, Gail would take a Biomat® Mini to all the concerns at the time, she was intrigued by the health-related practitioners she would see, such as Biomat®, and she and Tao Temple agreed to meet the dentists, vets, doctors, etc. following week. In her early years, there were few marketing materials “It was interesting to watch myself move from an provided by corporate. With her background in accomplished, shy, introverted graphic designer graphic design, Gail produced an abundant amount working solo to organizing large groups of new ISA of materials for the distributors in her team. Some of teams. This required me to be in constant contact her creations included brochures, flyers, signs, and with people. Note – this is extrovert activity. And, there relaxation audio CDs. were even some attempts at some dreaded public speaking,” explained Gail. She also had a lot of assistance from her helpful upline

and fellow team members. Her sponsor, Tao Temple, helped her to write the text for their first tri-fold brochure. Gail and fellow ISA Victoria Golden created the logo for her team and business entity, The Biomat Company. Gail and fellow RF ISA and MD Carrie Luke became a “great Biomat® sales duo.” They continue to work together to this very day. “Carrie had the background in sales, and her expertise combined with my graphic experience allowed us to fine tune our marketing pieces for our audience as well as our distributors.” Together, Gail and Carrie crafted a Biomat® training website for their team members to download their marketing materials and use it for their product and business knowledge. They held and continue to holdfrequent training phone calls with the assistance of fellow RF ISA and MD Suzanne Stone,W answering ISA questions. Gail recognizes the importance of teamwork, and as her business and team grew, she developed and trained many in her downline to become team leaders. In doing so, they were able to manage, train and encourage their own downlines just as she did. Gail is an exceptional ISA and team leader in large part because of her expertise in leadership, training, and guidance. By training her downline in the core elements of the business (product knowledge, leadership skills, how to approach prospects, etc.) they became strong leaders and independent in their own Richway businesses. This makes for a synergistic and strong group. “This is where Victoria Golden, Carrie Luke, and Suzanne Stone all came into the picture. We all participated and created tools for our downline to be able to duplicate our success. During my Royal Family Challenge, I held weekly contests with prizes for ISAs with sales and a Biomat® Professional for the grand prize when I completed the challenge,” said Gail. Gail and her team often attended trade shows which had “Body, Mind, Spirit concepts.”

How does Gail build on her business? Gail follows a special theory described in the book Eat That Frog! by Brian Tracy. Starting the day with your most challenging task first will make everything that follows seem easier. By following this theory, you are working “downhill as the day wears on,” and you utilize less energy for the following tasks in your day. “In other words, make those calls to people about demoing the Biomat® rather than get lost in email for hours. I feel so strongly about the theories in this book that early on, I gave one to each of my team leaders to help them organize their own day. Establishing momentum early in the day keeps difficulties from looming later in the day,” explained Gail. Gail also strongly recommends a 15-minute “power session” on the

Biomat® in the afternoon as a critical part to anyone’s day, especially ISAs. “It’s relaxing and recharging at the same time, and it reconnects you to how much you love the Biomat® and inspires you to share more with others,” said Gail.” The base of Gail’s business building mentality is maintaining a positive attitude. “Optimism breeds energetic cheerfulness. And then, it’s easy to call past customers and potential new ones,” said Gail. Through her own personal challenges, Gail has learned that there is never a “fast solution,” and that remaining calm and collected in light of hardship is essential. Gail’s motivation comes from her desire to help people feel better. To build and maintain relationships with her clients, Gail follows her 2:2:2 plan. Two days, two weeks, and two months after a client purchases a Biomat®, she follows up with them through phone calls. Initially, she will ask if they need help with their initial setup or any questions getting started with the product. Two weeks in, she will ask

how they feel while and after using the product. After two months, she follows up to see how their health has improved. “This creates opportunities for bonding and [helps] the customer on their health journey. They are always grateful for the calls which is rewarding in itself. And often, it’s an opportunity for them to hear about another Richway product that may benefit them,” said Gail.

The Impact of Richway Since making the jump to work the Richway business full time, it has had a profound impact on Gail’s life. On the financial side of things, Gail receives a “handsome income” on a weekly basis, and she is now on her third car purchase through Richway’s rewarding Car Allowance Program! In fact, her daughter drives the first car she ever got with the Richway Car Allowance Program, a Jeep Commander. “I was rather content living in my small graphic design bubble when Richway opened my life to new friends, new experiences, interesting travel, better health

practitioners, and new horizons in the area of personal growth and spirituality,” said Gail.” On the side of personal development, Gail reflects and recognizes the “enormous strides” she has made in her own personal growth. As she has travelled across the United States a number of times attending various trade shows to promote the Biomat®, Gail has been able to expand her network of friends and meet many great people. “Fellow ISAs would gather from different parts of the country to meet at a particular show, growing our frequent flyer miles and far distance friends. Meeting ISAs and personal friends to share the energy of the Biomat® was fun and energizing,” said Gail. To add some much-needed leisure time while traveling between trade shows, Gail and the other ISAs would add a “play day” in the beginning or end of a show to explore and experience the culture of the city they were in.

What keeps Gail motivated? “Helping other people feel better moves me. It’s the classic case of wanting to prevent others from the frustrations and dead-end roads I’ve experienced in search of answers in the confines of Western Medicine. Feeling like I am a good steward for Richway in promoting their products and their compensation plan. As well as having distributors know, that as a Managing Director, I’m here to assist them with any

Richway questions. As much of a cliché’ as it is, Richway ISAs are all one family. And perhaps the biggest inspiration is knowing that all Richway ISAs are part of a bigger picture of mindfully moving through this world in our businesses and personal lives with a united purpose. Our intention is to uplift people’s hearts, health and minds. Richway’s Biomat® makes this possible as the synergistic effects

helps us all tap into timeless wisdom. Having a sense of purpose is the reason for getting up in the morning and moving joyfully through the day. I believe all Richway ISAs will be leaving behind a footprint in which to feel proud. If an aura photo were to be taken of these footprints they would all have a purple glow– and that’s what makes it all worthwhile.”

Gail’s Tips for ISAs Gail is a proven leader and smart business woman with a proven track record. She is one of Richway’s well-accomplished ISAs and a great asset to the company. What advice does she have for ISAs who are trying to grow their business? Talk about the products to everyone, and do not screen anyone. Everyone is a prospective client who can get benefit from the Biomat® and Richway’s other wellness products. “It always surprised me when someone I thought would love the Biomat®, and then they did not. And then another who I thought would not like the Biomat®, would. When you love the energy of the Biomat®, your passion will come through naturally, and that’s what your listener will be attracted to,” explained Gail.

Further expanding on this notion, Gail notes that you may receive some feedback and questions when talking about the Biomat® and other products, and that is where you need to spend some time researching and learning about the different technologies, science, and myths and facts about the products. “Richway has a great deal of information on [RichwayandFujiBio. com], and the internet could keep you busy for centuries. You can always say, ‘That’s a great question – I’ll get back to you on that,’” said Gail. For new ISAs, especially those just starting out in sales, Gail understands that many are usually nervous to talk to others, especially strangers. She reminds new ISAs

that the products they are sharing with potential clients are life changing. “There are people out there searching for something like the Biomat® to improve their health. In actuality, ISAs are doing a favor to have people encounter up close and personal the Biomat® first hand. Many ISAs feel uncomfortable about ‘selling’ – the Biomat® is all about sharing something that people want to enhance their health,” explained Gail. In summary, Gail recommends worrying less and enjoying the moment more.

98.6° F Nature’s Standard to Health and Wellness Interview with author and naturopath Uwe Karstädt about why he wrote his new book 98.6° F and his experienece with the Biomat®.

U

we Karstädt is a naturopath based in Munich, Germany. Since 1986, he has been treating and advising clients at his clinic. For the last four years, he has also been teaching alternative medicine at academies in his hometown and in Switzerland.

In addition to specializing in naturopathy, Karstädt is an accomplished writer. Millions in Germany have benefited from his profound knowledge of health and gained a better understanding of how to improve their quality of life in all aspects. Now on his seventh book, Karstädt teaches us why maintaining a good body temperature is important for ideal health and the foundation for a strong immune system. “After 30 years of practice I came to certain conclusions about the basic cornerstones of health and vitality. One of them is certainly to obtain the optimum body temperature for an optimum metabolism,” said Karstädt. Upon treating thousands of patients at his clinic, Karstädt grew concerned as he noticed many people did not have optimal body temperature and wondered “why so many people have lost this essential quality for health and well-being.” Karstädt began to explore the subject by studying the research of contemporary doctors and scientists as well as tapping into Chinese and Ayurveda medicine. The end result of this extensive research is his latest book entitled 98.6° F, in which he convinces the reader that this is the ideal temperature for vitality and a sign of good health. He goes on to state, “as humans, [we function optimally] when all the enzymes and the immune system are supported by optimum working temperature. A few degrees too high can be considered as fever and could also be an emergency situation. The same is true for low temperature.” Karstädt has been using the Biomat® for the last six years. Over a thousand of his clients have used the Biomat® and many have purchased one. On a daily basis, he continues to hear stories of relief and genuine healing. “[The] feedback I receive can only be described as very encouraging and sometimes breathtaking. Most clients [say it is] the best investment in their

health that they have ever done,” explained Karstädt. Aside from relief from muscle tension, pain, and cold, Karstädt has observed his clients experiencing the strong support offered by the Biomat® in combination with all of the other methods he incorporates. “Colleagues report about how much easier it is to apply their body work with the help of the Biomat®, whether this is massage, deep tissue work or any other body work for pain and relaxation,” said Karstädt. As a part of their treatment, Karstädt has been recommending his clients use the Biomat® Professional and Biomat® Mini for many years. He says that with the Biomat®, results come faster because “negative ions and the infrared rays do their miraculous work, [and] the Biomat® reminds people to relax daily and take their life in their own hands and focus on their health.”

Buy the book Naturopath and bestselling author Uwe Karstädt says, “a cold body is a sick body.” He has discovered that 70 percent of his patients who suffer from chronic illness also have low body temperatures in the range of 94.1° F - 96.8° F. In his latest book 98.6° F, he explains the causes of “body coldness” and the importance of proper body temperature. Karstädt provides simple methods anyone can do to warm the body and bring one’s self back into a healthy state. In the final chapter, Karstädt discusses the healing power of infrared radiation and how infrared mats such as the Biomat® can aid in sustaining optimal health. 98.6° F can be ordered here.

Multiple Income Streams With the rising cost of living, mounting bills, and more, income is a very important factor in our life decisions. When it comes to increasing your income, your first instinct may be to look at your day job. You may be considering a request for a raise, or finding a better paying position, but your income earnings don’t have to stop at your primary salary.

W

ith the Richway business, you don’t have to spend eight hours a day sitting at a desk, and you don’t have to give up your day job to participate. You can work on your time and by your rules. YOU are the owner of your own business. You determine how much effort you want to put into it without reprimand for not meeting quotas. There are none! Richway & Fuji Bio offers a unique and lucrative opportunity to earn a secondary income. Furthermore, you are creating an additional income stream by sharing unique products which have helped people all over the world to heal, and feel and look great! The best part? This stream of secondary income even has the potential to become passive income over time. What does that mean? Passive income is a type of income earned with little or no effort or time exerted! The first thought that may come to mind is that you do not want to sell or can’t. Don’t think of the Richway business opportunity as a business of sale. In reality, it is a business of referral. By now, you are probably aware of the huge benefits that Richway products offer. Imagine this scenario – you are at a family function

and briefly mention to a group of relatives about how the Biomat® has helped you immensely in finding relief from your back pain. You go about the night enjoying the company of family and the food and fun. In the days that pass, one of your relatives contact you wanting to know more about the Biomat® as they also suffer from chronic pain. They’re interested in getting one for themselves. In five minutes, you set up their order for a Biomat® Professional and Amethyst & Tourmaline Pillow set and submit it to Richway HQ. You’ve just made an effortless sale through a simple referral! Richway’s business model is even more convenient than other multilevel marketing structures in that it relies on drop shipping to the customer. You don’t have to stress about stocking up on products and delivering them to your referrals. Richway takes care of it all! Just submit your order, and let Richway take care of the logistics. Soon, your relative has a brand new Biomat® delivered direct to their door, and you have a direct commission on its way to you! As you expand your business at your pace, you also have the opportunity to participate in the Binary System of the Richway business model. Over time, the Binary System makes it

possible for you to reap the benefits of a passive income! Let’s go back to that relative who purchased the Biomat® from you. They’ve experienced first-hand the life-changing effects that the Biomat® has had on their health and life and now want the opportunity to share it to their large circle of friends and work colleagues. They pay the low start up registration fee of $80 and can now take part in the same lucrative business opportunity as you have. Here’s where the Binary System comes into play. For every $500 worth of eligible products sold by you and your downline, one Binary Point will be placed into the ISA’s Marketing Organization. Binary Points go upward into each Marketing Organization to which the Business Center is connected. As the Binary Points accumulate, they can be cashed in when they reach a target amount. Even on a part time basis, you have the power to set up your Marketing Organization in a way in which it can generate passive income for you. This is what makes the Richway business plan exceptional and unlike any traditional job or multi-level marketing organization that you may have come across before. Where can I retrieve PDF versions of Richway’s marketing materials? Our marketing materials are available for download on our main website. Navigate to the Downloads Menu to access them. Do you have videos I can watch to learn more about your products? Yes we do. You can see all of our current videos on our YouTube channel.

Q&A Sometimes we receive a question from an ISA which we believe would be helpful to you. Here, we will publish these questions If you have a question please send it to admin@richwayusa.com.

How does the Alkal-Life 7000sL self-cleaning function work? What happens when the machine goes into self-cleaning mode? For every ten liters of water which passes through the Alkal-Life 7000sL™, acidic water passes over the electrolysis plates, any any waste and calcium buildup is eliminated through the waste water hose during the draining process. What type of container is best to store alkaline, ionized water? An airtight glass bottle is best. It is also recommended that the water be stored cold if not using right away to maintain the ionization. Under sealed conditions, it would last 24 hours. Why are the titanium electrolysis plates treated with platinum? Why is it important for electrolysis? Because it is anti-rust. Also, the conductivity is high, and it helps the AlkalLife 7000sL™ achieve a higher purity pH. What is the “Cleaning Filter” for? Even with the self-cleaning function, and especially in areas of hard water, a cleaning filter is recommended to be used before each Active Carbon Filter replacement. The cleaning filter and process helps to clean the internals of the machine and prevent excess mineral buildup within the machine. Unlike some competitors that require the user to send in the machine for a “deep cleaning,” the Alkal-Life 7000sL™ Cleaning Filter conveniently brings this process to your home! How can I find out when me or my customer’s order has shipped? Provide both the customer and sposnor’s e-mail on the designated sections of the Order Form to receive shipment information straight from UPS! For Product Certificate orders, write your e-mail address next to your phone number in the same section. I just placed a Product Certificate Order. When should I expect delivery? Product Certificate orders have a processing time of up to 30 days. Regular orders are prioritized over Product Certificate orders, but we work to process them as soon as possible. Please note this processing time is dependant on stock availability. I have a question about my order. What info should I provide to Richway when inquiring about it? Always have the Richway Invoice (RI) number of your order available when inquiring. Provide this number to your customer, as they will need it if they have questions and, more importantly, for warranty purposes. Each order has a unique RI number. This will save you time and confusion when you need to reference the order.

Biomat® Practitioner Spotlight Bryn W. Perkins, PA, CBS Integrative Health Consultant and Brainwave Optimization Specialist Inner Health Resources 185 Tilley Dr., Suite #55, So. Burlington, VT 05403 (802) 735-1766 bryn@innerhealthresources.com www.innerhealthresources.com

I

nner Health Resources, owned by Physican Assistant, Health Consultant and educator Bryn Perkins, is located at Eastern View Integrative Medicine in South Burlington, Vermont. Among the many medical services offered at Eastern View are obstetrics and gynecology, acupuncture, psychology, chiropractic, and naturopathic primary care. “Here at Eastern View, people use the Biomat® before and after health care appointments, while having acupuncture, hypnotherapy and massage.” Bryn’s interest in health began in college while studying oriental philosophy, Shiatsu massage and nutrition. She later attended the Physician Assistant program at Wake Forest School of Medicine and went on to develop Eating for a Healthier You, a 28-day online cleanse program. She is also a Brainwave Optimization Specialist. Bryn views the Biomat® as a valuable tool to de-stress and unwind. She says stress plays a role in many diseases and we heal faster when

36  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH SEPTEMBER 2017

our brains are “resting” and our body isn’t over activated by stress hormones. “I see the Biomat® as a catalyst for that natural process – our body wants to heal, we just need to give it the right impetus. I often hear people say after using it that they feel totally relaxed, like they just had a massage or that they simply ‘feel better,’” explained Bryn. Bryn says the deep heat from the Biomat® improves circulatory flow and uses the Biomat® in her Eating for a Healthier You program. “People in my class regularly tell me how much they love [the Biomat®], and I love having it to support the often-big changes they are making in a month. It provides a quiet time for deep reflection,” said Bryn. The primary service Bryn now offers is called Brainwave Optimization, which uses software to teach you to relax and focus your brain. At her clinic, she often treats clients who have experience some form of emotional or physical trauma. The Biomat® enhances this service by helping clients to relax before their sessions begin.

“It is like getting a jumpstart, as the brain moves more easily into balance when the body and brain are relaxed. This is particularly true for people who have experienced high stress and for people who generally feel overwhelmed in their lives,” explained Bryn. Bryn started using the Biomat® during a stressful period of her life. She found herself having difficult sleeping and woke up many times throughout the night. She found that the Biomat® “taught” her body to sleep again. Her husband also found relief by using the Biomat® daily. “The Biomat® became his new best friend, and he [used] it every night for a month until [his shoulder and back] pain disappeared,” said Bryn. Bryn incorporated the Biomat® into her practice based on her own positive experiences as well as those of her colleagues. To accommodate demand, she turned a storage space into a Biomat® room. “It’s inviting and warm. People can sign up to use it through me. Patients of the primary care practice next door can also sign up through their receptionist,” said Bryn.

“My orientation is holistic — I believe there is a strong correlation between our physical symptoms, emotional state, brainwave patterns and spiritual life.” Innerhealthresources.com

Other practitioners at Eastern View are taking advantage of the room as well. A hypnotherapist who uses the Biomat® regularly also loves using it on her clients during her sessions. According to Bryn, this hypnotherapist finds that it “takes her clients in a state of deeper state of relaxation more quickly, and enhances the benefits of the work.” Dr. Lorilee Schoenbeck at Eastern View Naturopathic also finds the Biomat® to be an exceptional resource for patients of the practice, especially those who are very anxious and suffering from a lot of pain. “Sometimes we will send patients to the Biomat® for up to 45 minutes to relieve pain and stress. I really appreciate that very tangible resource that makes people feel better right away. This is one where there is an instant benefit,” said Dr. Lorilee.

Aside from a smart business investment, Bryn also considers the Biomat® a sound investment for her personal health. Bryn has been the proud owner of her own Biomat® for the last six years, and in that time, she uses it almost daily. She has found that while people often find themselves spending excessively on disease, we should consider taking a proactive approach and investing to enhance our health. “I am impressed by its construction and dependability. I also like Richway’s excellent repair policy if something does happen. It is a tool I plan on having for life. My 91-yearold father has one and loves it, and it was one of the few ’extras’ that he took with him this winter to his senior living facility. The way to find out if it is of value to you is to try it. You’ll know,” said Bryn.

Biomat® Practitioner Spotlight Edan Harari, LMT, OMT Licensed massage therapist, Osteopathic Manual therapist and healing coach Kinetic Body Therapy 113 Broadway, suite 707 New York, NY. 10010 Tel: 917-533-1727 www.kineticbodytherapy.com

A

fter experiencing a foot injury, Licensed Massage Therapist, Osteopathic Manual Therapist, and healing coach Edan Harari found himself in pursuit of an effective healing technique. While on his quest, Edan learned about a technique developed by British Osteopath Arthur Lincoln Pauls called Ortho-Bionomy. OrthoBionomy is a gentle way of moving and positioning the body – allowing it to naturally realign restoring comfort and flexibility. The relief Edan received inspired him to learn more about manual movement therapies and to heal others’ suffering from mental and physical pain. After years of practicing different modalities, Edan went on to develop Kinetic Release Therapy (KRT). According to Edan, KRT is a “manual and movement therapy practice that includes osteopathic-based manual therapy for pain-relief and to enhance performance, as well as movement therapy classes and workshops.”

38  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH SEPTEMBER 2017

KRT utilizes a combination of three main modalities: Ortho-Bionomy, Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR), and Acro-Therapeutics. According to KineticBodyTherapy.com, KRT works by releasing tension in soft tissue, re-aligning the joints, and breaking the body’s holding and pain patterns. Later, Edan came across the Biomat® through a colleague he was sharing a studio with. He enjoyed it during his breaks and began to use it with his clients. “My clients love the treatments involving my Biomat®. They always tell me how they don’t want to get up from the table because the mat feels so good!” exclaimed Edan. Edan now uses the Biomat® during all his manual therapy sessions in both his private practice in the Flatiron District of Manhattan and his home practice in Midwood, Brooklyn. “I use [the Biomat®] to help support and maximize the healing in my sessions. It helps my clients slowly drift deeper into a state of ease, balance, and relaxation,” explained Edan.

Like many others, Edan has found the Biomat® to be a great complement to his work. “The Biomat® has definitely impacted my business in a positive way, as clients now look forward not just to my manual therapy, but to my Biomat®!” said Edan. In addition to the positive impact the Biomat® has on his business, Edan has found that it enhances the effectiveness of his treatments as well. “I find that my Barnes Myofascial Release sessions are much more effective due to the heat generated by the Biomat® which supports the physiological process of the fascial release,” explained Edan. Edan recommends that other practitioners give the Biomat® a try. “I would say to others that it’s totally worth the investment. It should be looked at as an investment for your business and not an expense.”

“While I do practice potent and cuttingedge healing systems and methods, I believe that it’s more about following a principle-based approach to healing rather than following specific outdated protocols.” – Kineticbodytherapy.com
