Mega Bio Cleanse 365™ Mega Bio Cleanse 365™ is your daily source of dietary fiber. With our proprietary blend of fibers and nutrients, Mega Bio Cleanse 365™ helps promote and maintain digestive health.

D

o you feel sluggish, bloated, or have stomach cramps? If so, it could be a sign that you do not have enough fiber in your diet. The symptoms are not always clear, but there are some warning signs you can look for. If you are gaining weight, feeling constipated or have high cholesterol, it may be time to give your diet a fiber boost. Fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains are great sources of fiber. These foods are low in calories and high in vitamins and minerals. If your diet is short of any of the mentioned foods, you raise your risk for weight gain, heart disease, and fecal stasis. The U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends adults consume between 25 grams (women) and 30 grams (men) of fiber a day from food, but the average person only eats about half as much.

Insoluble and soluble fiber

Soluble fiber

Did you know that there are two types of dietary fiber – soluble and insoluble? Both are important for weight management, health, and digestion. What are the differences, and why do we need them?

As soluble fiber breaks down, it forms a thick, gelatinous substance in the stomach. The fiber attracts water, making the stool softer and easier to pass.

Insoluble fiber Insoluble fiber is roughage found in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and nuts. The fibers absorb water, increasing the mass of the stool, which helps it move through the digestive system quickly. Insoluble fiber does not dissolve in water and passes through the gastrointestinal tract relatively intact. Therefore, it is not a source of calories. Not eating enough insoluble fiber slows the passage of fecal matter and can lead to constipation.

Soluble fiber helps to lower cholesterol levels by hindering the absorption of fats and cholesterol during digestion. This is one of the reasons why soluble fibers are essential in regulating blood sugar levels and protecting against heart disease. Another benefit of the fiber is that it slows down how quickly foods are digested, meaning most people will feel fuller, longer. Both soluble and insoluble fiber are important for your health. One packet of Mega Bio Cleanse 365™ contains five grams of fiber. Take Mega Bio Cleanse 365™ up to three times a day to reach your fiber goals.

†Diets low in saturated fats and cholesterol which include seven grams of fiber per day from psyllium, as in Mega Bio Cleanse 365™ may reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol. One serving of Mega Bio Cleanse 365 contains five grams of soluble fiber. *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

The Sound of Healing The collaborative efforts of chemists, biologists, and other types of researchers have all helped advance society with the creation or discovery of various medicines and techniques. Even today, brand new types of treatment are still being explored and discovered.

I

magine a massage that could reach your deep tissues, muscles, organs, and even cells. This form of massage is real, and it’s called vibroacoustic therapy. This new type of treatment explores how music and vibrations can be used to improve our health. So, how does vibroacoustic therapy work? Well, at its core, music is just sound, and sounds are just vibrations. Vibroacoustic therapy uses speakers or transducers which are placed inside a mattress. The speakers produce vibrations which are applied directly to the body to ease certain symptoms. Since the human body is over 70 percent water, sound travels much more efficiently. In water, particles are closer together, which serves as a great medium for vibrational energy to travel through. The vibrations travel through the body to deliver a deep cellular massage, which has a multitude of positive effects on the different systems of the body. 6  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH DECEMBER 2018

Technology designers and researchers note that relaxation is a significant outcome from the use of vibroacoustic technology. At the 1994 National Association of Music Therapy conference in Los Angeles, California, George Patrick Ph.D., Chief of Recreation Therapy at the National Institute of Health (NIH) presented the theory that vibroacoustic therapy triggered a relaxation response. Vibroacoustic therapy also helped in the management and relief of pain. Dr. Patrick’s NIH program found that those who listened to music while feeling the vibrations experienced a 8  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH DECEMBER 2018

greater reduction in pain than those who were in the placebo group or only listened to music. The reduction in perceived pain suggested that the pain relief was relaxation-induced. Vibroacoustics also have a long-standing relationship with physical therapy. Patients found treatments using vibroacoustic therapy increased their range of motion as well as kept their muscles stimulated. Research at Duke University Medical Center used Selective Low Frequency (SLF) physio-acoustic treatment on patients following total knee replacements. Patients showed

greater range of motion during their physical therapy sessions. Applying music or sound in medicine is not new. We use ultrasound, or high frequency sounds, to create images in our bodies, and we use music to soothe our emotional burdens. Music has always felt much more purposeful than just a form of entertainment. Most ancient cultures discovered the magical healing power of sound. The Aboriginal people, a tribal group from Australia, are the first known culture to repurpose music as a healing tool. The “yidaki,” known

commonly as a didgeridoo, has been used as a healing tool for over 40,000 years.

The didgeridoo is a manmade wind instrument that produces very deep sounds and vibrations. It is played primarily for dancing and singing. They were commonly used for recreational purposes. When they weren’t being played for ceremonies, the aboriginal healers would use these instruments to create deep sounds and vibrations to tend to the infirm. The sounds were used to treat inflictions ranging from repairing damaged muscles and bones, to stabilizing the mentally ill, by attempting to soothe their minds. In ancient Greece, there was a man named Pythagoras. This famous philosopher is credited as the “Father of Philosophy,” “Father of Mathematics,” as well as the “Father of Music.” Pythagoras applied mathematics to everything from art, architecture, to even handling relationships or running a government. One day, Pythagoras discovered that musical notes carried mathematical properties and could be translated into mathematical equations.

healing instruments. To aid in the healing, the Greeks also used healing temples as incubation chambers. The patients underwent a process called “dream sleep,” in which music was used therapeutically. The chambers were designed to enhance the reverberant spaces of the temple, to induce the curative aspects of the music.

The Greek philosopher founded the Pythagorean School of Mathematics, as well as made numerous contributions to mathematics. Pythagoras was one of the earliest to prescribe music as medicine. At Pythagoras’ school, the flute and lyre were taught as

The ancient Egyptians also believed in the healing power of sound. Their healing rituals would take place at healing chapels and consist of priestesses playing a sistrum, a musical rattle made with metal disks. The sistrum provided pleasant sounds but DECEMBER 2018  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  9

also produced ultrasound, which is used in hospitals and clinics today. Researchers have provided evidence that the Egyptians designed their chapels and chambers to be as reverberant as possible to increase the resonant healing properties of sound. Healing techniques using vibroacoustic principles offer an effective form of treatment for both emotional and physical ailments. The deep vibrations that massage the body have been found to stimulate blood circulation, allowing our body to heal faster. The increase in circulation results in better management and relief of pain. Vibroacoustic therapy is typically accompanied with soothing music. The music is composed in a way which complements the frequencies of the vibrations. This principle behind vibroacoustic therapy is called “brainwave entrainment.” It is a method described as stimulating your brain into certain states by using sound, or lights. Now, what does altering your brain waves have to do with your health? Well, brain waves are the root of all your thoughts and emotions; they are the electrical pulses that facilitate communication between your neurons. The state of our brainwaves, and how your day is going, is deeply connected and inseparable, and research has shown that irregular brainwaves are associated with all sorts of emotional and neurological conditions.

Our brainwaves exist in a few states best described as ranging from slow and loud to fast and complex. You might’ve heard of some of these different brain waves: delta waves, theta waves, and alpha waves. The different kinds of waves are associated with all sorts of feelings, ranging from a deep meditative state, to conscious information processing. There’s a “phenomenon” called the frequency following response, where a living thing will tend to sync up its function or actions to another periodic source of sound. Imagine you are in bed, minutes away from snooze town, when suddenly, you hear a “tik, tik, tik” the sound of small water drops dripping in your sink. Then, you slowly drift back to sleep, but now you hear a cricket’s faint “chirp, chirp, chirp.” You try to ignore it and close your eyes. However, you notice the drops of water and calls of the crickets coalesce. You realize the two sounds are syncing up. This is where brain entrainment comes in. By using pulsing sounds, lights, or electromagnetic fields, we can elicit the brain’s frequency following response. This method stimulates the brain into a specific state by trying to align the brain’s waves into a certain frequency. Brainwave entrainment works on almost everybody and is a common way to induce different states, such as relaxation, focus, or even drousy.

techniques are dated to be found as far back as the bronze age. Chambers were found to be acoustically tuned to specific frequencies, and certain cultures used flickering sunlight shining through a spinning wheel in attempts to induce different altered states. No, the brain does not just operate in any single frequency; the brain is a complex organ, and the full spectrum of your brainwaves are always running. It is the dominant brainwave that determines your mental state. Technology provides us with a means to understand the world. Vibroacoustic therapy is on the path to becoming an important option in treating certain health concerns in the future. The low vibrations promote movements, thus increasing blood circulation. Music enables people to achieve heightened relaxation. Although researchers are rediscovering techniques to combine vibrations and music to take care of our health, continued research and development of the applications and protocols involving vibroacoustic therapy is essential in reaching the technology’s full potential.

Client Personailty Types: The Analytical As an Independent Sales Associate (ISA), you have probably found that some customers are easy to deal with, while others are not. Different techniques work on different people. If you can learn to identify the key personality traits of your customer, you will be able to tailor your approach to their personality.

Analytic Personality

S

o far this year, we covered three of the main customer personality types any ISA will encounter. To recap, the Amiable customer is one who is very friendly, and it pays to establish rapport with them. The Driver is the no-nonsense customer who is very assertive. The Expressive is the chatty client who isn’t interested in the fine details. The personality types were identified by psychologists Roger Reid and John Merrill. They were interested in understanding whether it was possible to predict managerial ability, leadership, and sales performance. To do this, they explored how people behave in social situations. What they learned is that people’s behaviors and actions are consistent. In our final installment of this series, we will cover the data-loving Analytical customer.

Characteristics of the Analytical Analytical personality types love their facts and figures. Chances are they will have done advanced research on the Biomat® or our other products before contacting you. Analyticals are more reserved than other personality types. They will rely on their logical thinking rather than their emotional side when making their final decision. Unlike some of the other personality types, an Analytical customer will not spend time getting to know you. They will be interested, direct, and formal. They want the data to speak for itself. All an Analytical customer wants is to have a deeper knowledge of the product they are interested in. They will take their time, verify information, and get back to you. These clients are more logical and cautious than any other personality type. Talking to Analytical personality types Working with an Analytical client will be challenging. They are not interested in a flowery pitch. Be well prepared, because they are very skeptical and want explanations laid out in transparent terms. Limit the small talk, because their concern is in the facts and not what their favorite television show is. These customers will already have a basic understanding of the Biomat® and will have 14  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH DECEMBER 2018

a list of questions for you to answer. It is important to provide complete information, examples and details, so they can fill in the missing pieces to their questions. This will go a long way in swaying the Analytical towards a buying decision. The more questions they ask, the more interested they are. Analyticals want to know the details, so be sure to know how our products work and have the data to back it up. Have a copy of our Biomat® vs. Imitations Flyer, so they can easily learn why the Biomat® is so special. Show them our PowerPoint on the Technology of the Biomat®, so they can understand the infrared and negative ion output of the Biomat®. Be patient. Give them a brochure and the time to think it over. When they get back to you with more questions, answer them professionally. Once they are convinced, they will buy. Give them the opportunity to try out the Biomat®. It may help them experience what is sometimes difficult to put into words. Tips for working with Analytical personality types Know your information and have the information to back up what you say. Over-hyping our products may make the Analytical suspicious. Provide as much detailed information as possible. Instead of saying the Alkal-Life 7000sL™ is a great filter and water ionizer, show them the filter report

to prove it. Instead of saying the Biomat® can help people heal, show them Dr. Grant’s study in the PRIME Journal. Instead of saying the Biomat® puts out infrared energy, show them the Life with a Biomat® Technology PowerPoint. This PowerPoint shows the range of the Biomats® infrared and the power. Analyticals are known to research their products ahead of time, so you can skip over some of the introductory information and spend time on the features they are interested in. What do our ISAs do when working with an Analytical personality type? Richway has an abundance of materials for ISAs to handle customer questions. Each ISA has their favorite resource to use in such situations. For some, our amethyst poster is useful to familiarize customers who are new to amethyst crystals. Others use the Biomat® Evolution graphic to show the history and how the product has evolved. Diamond Executive ISA Jocelyne Colombe likes to use the Biomat® flyer and the State of the Art brochure. “It looks very professional and official in a catalog format with the licenses, certificates, and awards. Also, the controller is large enough to view and explain the various functions to customers,” said Jocelyne.

Antonio Guillem©123rf.com

Partner ISA Jennifer Horton likes to use the data from the independent Korea Far Infrared Association (KIFA). “For the analytical customer, I favor the KIFA Negative Ion Report, because it points to a deficiency in copycat mats that report lower negative ion numbers and builds up our credibility for providing a high-quality product,” replied Jennifer. To show what the Biomat® is made up of, she likes the use

the cross section showing the layers. “I also like the image of the Biomat’s® 17 layers that provide EMF [reduction], as well as the reverse currency layer, because it shows that EMF is being physically [reduced],” stated Jennifer.

sending links to our videos and then following up with a phone call. “If a distributor is lacking confidence in talking about the Biomat®, I suggest they email the ‘Biomat® Technology Video’ to potential purchasers. If it’s a home user, I suggest the ‘Life with A Biomat®’ video,” said Gail.

Gail Soucy, Managing Director and Royal Family ISA says the most important aspect is to think what video or print piece resonate the most with your client. She recommends DECEMBER 2018  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  15

How to Maintain the Willpower to Achieve Your Goals By Brian Tracy

S

uccess takes a lot of hard work, and if you want to achieve your goals, you must work hard. But no one pushes themselves that hard or perspires that much without strong motivation and willpower. Some people, lose motivation over time and want to learn how to improve willpower so that they too can achieve success. Whether you plan to write a book, start a business, or improve your health, you must first find the motivation and willpower to succeed. The following tips will help you stay motivated for the long haul, persevering and perspiring until you achieve your goals.

16  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH DECEMBER 2018

1. Focus on the Positive No one ever motivated themselves to achieve a goal they didn’t care about. Thus, at the beginning of every endeavor, make a list of all the ways your goals will make a positive impact. If you’re starting a business, think about how that company will save time and money for customers. When writing a book, consider all the people who will read it, the lessons they’ll draw from it, and how they’ll use those lessons to improve their lives and the world. And if you seek better health, imagine how you will be able to live longer, enjoy your life more, and do a better job of providing for and spending time with your family. Listing positive impacts will motivate you in two major ways: Focusing on the Positive Improves Your Mood First, by improving your mood, they help you avoid the psychological and emotional factors that lead to procrastination. You’re bound to get more work done when you feel good, especially if those positive feelings are tied to the work. The earlier and more often you think of positive outcomes, the more productive you’ll be. Listing Positives Shows You a Path to Success Second, listing positives shows you the full stakes of success. It’s easy enough to ignore your goals if you have a vague idea of why you set them. But when you consider specifically how your endeavors will improve your and others’ lives, you’ll have a clear sense of why they are valuable. Thus both for your sake and those of your loved ones, you will press forward. 2. Set and Organize Your Goals No matter how positive you’re feeling about your objectives, if you have a lot of them, it may still be hard to get started. Whenever you’re feeling swamped by too many goals, make a list of all the different things you want to achieve. There’s a good chance that many of your goals are closely related to each other and that achieving one will bring you closer to accomplishing another. You can thus combine the two into a single goal. This brings down the total number of things you need to achieve, making the list less daunting. DECEMBER 2018  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  17

dizanna©123rf.com

Rank Your Goals by Order of Importance Once you’ve fully consolidated the list, rank each goal by order of importance. This lets you know which items you can work on first and which ones to save for later. You thus won’t feel overwhelmed by the need to accomplish so many things at once. Consider setting SMART goals as well. After prioritizing, take a look at 18  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH DECEMBER 2018

any goals that rank near the bottom. Consider eliminating some of these goals, especially if they will not have as important an impact as the others. This way, you can focus your time and energy on achieving the most important objectives as effectively as possible. The initial list doesn’t have to be definitive, and you can always go back and change it over time. But having a list helps you to keep track of your

objectives and accomplish them systematically. 3. Motivation is Personal Finally, remember that motivation is never a purely personal matter. Even if the goals we mentioned are for you in particular, they will impact other people, so you should enlist those people to help you stay on task. Relatives want you to do well for

your own sake, and they’re likely to benefit if you become healthier, wealthier, or more successful. You should thus let your closest family members know about what you’re trying to accomplish, and invite them to intervene if you ever get distracted. If your goals relate to your career, they will almost certainly impact your coworkers. Explain to them why they have a stake in your success, ask for their support, and offer to help them on their goals in return. Use your goals to become closer with your friends. If you’re trying to be healthier, ask friends to work out with you. Likewise, if you’re starting a business, bring in friends with relevant experience as employees or consultants. This gets them by your side for the entire process. Peers provide a consistent, lasting source of motivation. As long as you trust them to look out for your best interests, they’ll push you toward accomplishing even your most difficult goals. On the other hand: Another one of my favorite ways to stay motivated is to spend time alone reading inspirational quotes from successful people. The right saying, at the right time, can really give me a fresh perspective and encourage me to push on as others have done before me. What is the biggest single obstacle that stands between you and your goal, right now? Use this template to set and achieve your SMART goals effectively.

The BioAcoustic Mat™

olutionary Approach to Wellness We all know music can do wonders for your health. It lifts our mood, reduces our stress, and increases our endurance. With the right melody, tempo, and beat, music can send us into a euphoria. But, can we use music and sound to treat our bodies?

V

ibroacoustic relaxation is a form of treatment that involves employing sound to produce vibrations which are applied to the body. This emerging type of treatment is simple and non-intrusive, making it popular with many health centers. Vibroacoustic relaxation was first thought to be introduced sometime between 1970 and 1980, pioneered by Norwegian therapist, Olav Skille. After having experimented with vibroacoustic extensively, Skille found that this form of relaxation was beneficial for many different uses. Vibroacoustic relaxation uses two principles to restore the body. The first is stimulating the body with mechanical vibrations produced by music to deliver a deep massage. The second principle is called entrainment, which is how one rhythm tends to influence another rhythm. Our moods are largely determined by the state of our brain waves, but with certain music, we can spur our brains to be in another state. Richway & Fuji Bio presents the BioAcoustic Mat™, a revolutionary, lightweight, vibroacoustic relaxation device. The BioAcoustic Mat™ is soft and inflated by air, designed to make relaxation easier and more convenient. We went through many years of research and DECEMBER 2018  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  21

developmental speed bumps, but we are excited to show people our new key product, the BioAcoustic Mat™. A product which can be used in conjunction with the Biomat® or by itself. Here at Richway, we try to help many people reach their goals. Sometimes people want to be more financially independent, or sometimes they want to be healthier, but whatever their goals are, I know the BioAcoustic Mat™ will help them reach it,” said Jeanna C. Kim, CEO of Richway and Fuji Bio. Listening to music helps us reduce our stress levels. However, what if we could feel the relaxation as well? The BioAcoustic Mat™ uses three speakers. The first speaker is a powerful, low frequency transducer which sends vibrations into the larger muscles. The two smaller speakers, located near the top, play higher frequencies to target smaller muscles. The low 22  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH DECEMBER 2018

frequency vibrations from the BioAcoustic Mat™ stimulates the nerves in the spine, deep tissue, and limbic system. This drives our emotional response, which activates the auditory nerves that connect to our muscle tissue which help relax them. The BioAcoustic Mat™ comes with 12 specially designed soothing tracks to reenergize or relax your mind and body. Doctor Lee Bartel, Director of the Canadian Music Education Research Centre, developed the music on the BioAcousrtic Mat™. He leads the charge for the research on vibroacoustic therapy. Dr. Bartel has professionally recorded and developed the therapeutic soundtracks, with songs ranging from digital instruments to soothing nature sounds. Why do you need music that has been designed by doctors? Well, the music that comes with the BioAcoustic Mat™ is composed to be pleasing to the

ear. The music is embedded with specific frequencies which encourages our brains to be happy, relaxed, focused, or even sleepy! Brainwaves Most people have heard of brainwaves, but they don’t know exactly what they are. Brainwaves are electrical pulses that are responsible for the communication between the neurons in your brains. The state of your brain and how your day is going have an inseparable relationship. Using an EEG, or electroencephalography, a small metal band fitted with sensors that sits on your head, you can measure your brain activity. Some of them might sound familiar to you, alpha waves, theta waves, delta waves. These different waves accompany the different types of emotional states.

artellia ©123rf.com

Delta brainwaves are slow, loud waves. These waves suspend our external awareness and are associated with the deepest stages of sleep. Research has found that Delta waves contribute to regulating many of our unconscious bodily functions, as well as gives us a more restful sleep. Theta brainwaves occur most often while we sleep, where we experience greater imagery and information than our normal consciousness. Theta waves provide a positive mental state, encourages creativity, and is associated with learning and memory. Alpha brainwaves occur when you are in quiet thought. This brainwave can be recognized as the resting state of the brain. Alpha waves aid us in keeping calm and coordinating our thoughts. Beta brainwaves are another type of wave that dominates our waking consciousness. This type of wave is generated when your attention is directed towards cognitive tasks. Beta waves are described as fast and are present when we are engaged and focused. And finally, we have Gamma brainwaves, the fastest of brainwaves. This wave passes information quickly, and because of how quiet this wave is, it was first dismissed as “spare brain noise”. Gamma waves are more of a recent discovery, so our understanding of them is still evolving, but it is speculated that it plays a role in how we engage with our consciousness. Enjoy peace of mind as you get comfortable with the latest home-therapy technology. The Richway BioAcoustic Mat™ is safe, user-friendly, and a non-invasive option when it comes to relaxation. Start getting the most out of your body! Disclaimer- The information from Dr. Skille is for informational purposes only and does not reflect the opinion of Richway & Fuji Bio, Inc. MAMA MEDICINE One practitioner takes healing to another level. At her business, SPACE by Mama Medicine, Deborah Hanekamp uses the Biomat® as part of her medicine readings to bring balance back to everyone’s lives.

D

eborah Hanekamp a.k.a. Mama Medicine performs medicine readings and energy work in her serene SoHo location called Space by Mama Medicine. The minimalist loft is bright, airy, and accented with natural plants and

crystals.

Hanekamp is a Seeress, a woman who can see into the future. Ever since she was a child, she could see the auras surrounding someone. Intuitively, she can interpret this energy thus being able to communicate to people what their higher selves are saying to them. She did not realize that her gift was special and unique until her tweens. “I realized not everyone could see auras. When I was twelve, I was talking to my friends about the colors around people and what they meant. They all looked at me like I was nuts. I think I’m still in the process of embracing who I am and what I’m meant to do in this world to this day, but I also know that this is the only thing I can do. Every time I’ve wanted to give up and go into hiding, I just get put right back on this path, so now, I’m in full acceptance of it and all that comes with it,” said Hanekamp. Over the last 20 years, Hanekamp has developed her own style. It’s a mix of different traditions and guidance from her mentors which she has embraced along her journey into the spiritual and esoteric worlds. “I didn’t go to university, instead I deep dove into all things mystical DECEMBER 2018  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  25

What is an aura? It is a body of energy that surrounds each person. The aura consists of several layers and they correspond to the chakras in your body. Auras constantly change color and shape, depending on how the person is feeling and where they are emotionally and spiritually.

and spiritual which led me to traveling back and forth to Thailand for five years and back and forth to the Peruvian Amazon for eight years where I did an apprenticeship in shamanism. Though I deeply love and respect them all, none of these practices felt like mine, and that is one part of the story of how Medicine Readings were born.” Medicine readings A medicine reading is a deeply personal ritual which comprises of an aura reading and energy balancing. The multi-sensory experience is filled with sound and scent. Hanekamp uses an assortment of different instruments to achieve the desired results. “I use Crystal Tones Singing Bowls that work very deeply with cleansing, blessing, and protecting the aura. I also use different natural instruments that all have a similar purpose,” she says. The purpose of a medicine reading is for the recipient to leave feeling balanced, contemplative, and empowered. At her studio, she teaches that we all have the tools to become our own healer. “When you come for a Medicine reading, we sit together and speak about anything you are looking to call in or clear out of your life. Then, we meditate for a couple of minutes as I read your aura more in depth. We speak a bit more about hidden talents and gifts or habits that

could be [blocking] your way to becoming your own healer,” said Hanekamp. After the initial reading and guidance, you are prepared for the healing ceremony which begins by laying on a Biomat®. “I facilitate a healing ceremony that engages all faculties of the senses through, distance healing, sound and crystals to cleanse, bless and protect you. After the ceremony, we chat about some spiritual homework you can do and also a ritual bath, so you leave feeling you have all the tools you need to be your own healer. I ask that you come no more than once a month because I want you to be self-reliant and not dependent on me,” she says. Hanekamp is a big believer in the power of a Biomat®, so much so she has more than a dozen Biomat® Minis and a Biomat® Professional for her services. “I learned about the Biomat® from my friend Dorothea Barth who had me lay on hers after I returned from Peru. I immediately felt grounded and deeply relaxed and wanted my clients to feel the same way, so she let me borrow hers for medicine readings,” she said. She says the Biomat® helps her clients become more relaxed and open to receive the ceremony. For those that want to reap more energy from the Biomat®, she recommends trying her energy cleanse ritual bath. DECEMBER 2018  RICHWAY WAVELENGTH  27

Energy Cleanse Bath A spiritual bath is a great way to relax your body and renew your aura. Our aura is like a mirror which expresses our thoughts, emotions, and intentions. Try this bath when you need to cleanse yourself of the negative energy you may have encountered. Ingredients: • • • •

1 cup Epsom salt 6 - 10 drops of rosemary essential oil Black tourmaline crystal Tea of white sage

Let intuition be your guide when determining how much of an ingredient to use. All the ingredients go inside the tub. The tea of white sage can be brewed and poured in or simply allow the sage to steep in the bath water. The tourmaline can rest in the water or be placed somewhere on your body you feel called to. Mama Medicine’s baths are visually stunning. If you prefer a simpler bath with no clean up, just put all the ingredients into a cheesecloth bag.
