Friday, May 12, 2017 | 7:30 PM Salem Civic Center Broadway star vocalists: Eric van Hoven, Sean MacLaughlin, Alicia Hall Moran, Jennifer Hope Wills RSO David Stewart Wiley, conductor Five of the most celebrated Broadway musicals from Lerner & Loewe rolled into one evening of hit after hit and lots of fun!

Welcome to the RSO! This season, the RSO performs two of Beethoven’s greatest works: his immortal Symphony No. 5 on Opening Night and his transformative Symphony No. 9, the “Choral” Symphony in April 2017. I have also chosen Mendelssohn’s flavorful “Italian” Symphony, Tchaikovsky’s lush Serenade for Strings, Copland’s dynamic Billy the Kid Suite, and much more. Our unique Picnic at the Pops series is packed with four fantastic events: a “Party at the Pops" starring Billy Ocean; our unbeatable Holiday Pops; the best of the Beatles; and a classic Broadway concert. Two very special “Destination” events are also on the calendar this season. We'll visit old Vienna with A Little Late Night Music in the elegant Patrick Henry ballroom in October. In May, you can experience a truly colorful program at Impressionist Garden: Music, Color & Light at Taubman Museum of Art - a collaboration of sight and sound with the New York Botanical Gardens. An exciting and full season from the RSO awaits you! I look forward to seeing you soon.
