After breaking the news of a collaborative set with Burberry in January 2018, Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy showcased his full 2018 spring collection at a show in St. Petersburg over the weekend. Highlights of the collection include his collaboration with adidas Football for a few pieces of athletic wear, including glossy football shorts and an all-red tracksuit. Rubchinskiy also gave us a closer look at his new line of headwear in collaboration with Stephen Jones, which features plaid paired with a few different styles and colors. Rubchinskiy ended the show with a closer look at some of the trench coats he worked with Burberry on, with the first in tan, the second in navy blue and the third combining the two colors for a two-toned look down the middle. Rubchinskiy told viewers at his show that the collection was inspired by his passion for sports and nightlife culture, hoping he can use the two to make a bridge to connect more people. The Best Shows of London Fashion Week: Men’s 2018 Spring/Summer
14/06/2017
Page \\ 29
From Liam Hodges to A-COLD-WALL*, London did not disappoint.
It’s been a rather slow London Fashion Week: Men’s for the 2018 spring/summer season. It’s easy to connect it to the attacks that happened a few weeks ago – although they did loom over the proceedings in the form of sniffer dogs and heightened security – but it’s a multitude of things. One, it’s the spring/summer season, which is traditionally a smaller season for both menswear designers and buyers
due to the lessened selling time. No sooner has the sun come out than the sale season starts, which makes the warmer months not really worth it for many reasons. There’s also the fact that there has been some big names missing from the schedule and there’s also the overlap with Pitti, which often means Monday sees an exodus of the world’s biggest press and buyers.

London is often viewed as the little brother to Paris shows and, historically, it’s been for good reason. It wasn’t until relatively recently that London even had it’s own dedicated menswear week, and it’s been even less time since designers started creating viable brands. Martine Rose is a designer that’s been showing since the days when menswear in London was a single day tacked onto the end of womenswear.
While Rose hasn’t always shown in runway format, the designer has lasted the course when many others have fallen and is one of the few London menswear designers who’ve weathered several storms, even taking a hiatus when it was needed. And collections like the latest 2018 spring/summer one show just why the designer has managed to not just last, but thrive.
Martin Rose - LFW // 17
This was a show that took place outside of the confines of the BFC’s official show space, taking place in a climbing centre that added character to the proceedings. The designer is a buzzed about name due to her Balenciaga connections but her clothing would stand out even if you weren’t aware of her consultancy work. The range was a great blend of the avant-garde, the references (one graphic riffed on Nokia’s old logo) and the nods to the initiated in the use of the Nike Air Zoom Spridion, which is a shoe that’s very of the UK. All in all, it was a collection that justified just why the designer had been nominated for the ANDAM prize.

After last season’s super-exclusive A-COLD-WALL* show, this one saw the brand pack out main show space at London Fashion Week Men’s. The collection itself referenced that awkward gap between education and employment, youth and adulthood, that we can all relate to and all understand. As well as the show’s strong theme, it didn’t disappoint in terms of pieces, with the collection offering a refinement of the brand identity and showing why people have queued round the block for its recent Academia Correction Workshop pop-up and sample sale.
It’s quite scary to think just how young a brand A-Cold-Wall* is, with the brand only being founded in 2015. In that short time, Samuel Ross’ brand has gone from strength to strength and the reason that this show was such a standout was because it showed that trend continuing. It was a fitting finale for an otherwise quiet London Fashion Week Men’s, and it gave the normally slow Monday a real sense of excitement.

As with Charles Jeffrey and A-COLDWALL*’s Samuel Ross, Liam Hodges is seen as one of British fashion’s golden boys. His show this season showed why London turns out for him, as well as indicating some new directions for the designer and his brand. One new direction was the introduction of denim, which contributed to a more refined feeling for the collection, while another was the debut of his collaboration with FILA, with the footwear in particular being a particular highlight.
Liam Hodge - LFW // 17
There were other motifs including the NOISE and FASTER graphics, which referenced to the collections inspiration from noise. Some of the other standout pieces featured a screaming bear, which the show notes described as “Munch’s Scream for a generation that just wants to be cute but the shit they have to deal with while moving onwards and upwards is breaking them down.” That screaming bear also marked the end of the show, when a genuinely terrifying life-size version came pounding through the show space.

A Closer Look at the Supreme x Coleman CT200U Mini

Confirmed as an online only release.
As expected, the collaborative Supreme x Coleman mini bike is indeed on tap for a release later this week. Confirmed by Supreme today on Instagram, the red-clad bike will come in the form of the CT200U, which offers specs like a 196cc one-cylinder four-stroke OHV
engine, sturdy metal frame, 42inch wheelbase, and a top speed of 24 mph. Though pricing hasn’t been disclosed (the original CT200U usually retails for $699.99 USD), rumors place the MSRP somewhere in the $800 to $1,000 USD range.

We have exclusive up-close photos of the highly coveted Supreme x Coleman CT200U Mini Bike. The predominantly red bike, clad with Supreme logos on the seat cushion, front and rear fenders, comes in at a very hefty 112 pounds and nearly five-feet in length. When the bike arrives in a box just as large, some assembly is required by the consumer — the front wheel, both racks, both fenders and the handlebars are disconnected, needing approximately 45 mins of one-man assembly and perhaps half with a partner. In addition, no gasoline or oil (also required) is included due to hazardous shipping conditions, of course. Lastly, fans of Supreme will appreciate the
slight “Ride or Die” wording found on the rear quarter, as a reminder for those daring enough to take this out on the trails or even the streets. Helmet, courtesy of Stadium Goods, not included. The Supreme x Coleman CT200U Mini Bike will release exclusively online at Supreme on June 22.

Here’s What Happened at the London Launch of Skepta’s Clothing Line, Mains
29/06/2017
Page \\ 37
London’s finest turned out for the launch of the grime star’s new clothing line.
Grime artist Skepta is stepping into the sartorial realm, with the release of his Mains clothing line. The London wordsmith took to Instagram — for the first time in over a month – to unveil the line’s first piece: an olive green tracksuit. Skepta shared three posts showing two separate models in the tracksuit on a sun-drenched rooftop. Each photo contained a caption with Mains’s Instagram account and a date the full line will be released.
Besides a basic Mains website, featuring the same three images Skepta shared on Instagram, not much is known about the clothing brand. In December 2016, Skepta wore the exact same track suit to the British Fashion Awards. A few days later, he shared a photo of him near a fabric shop, with the caption reading: “Certy fabrics only #mains.”

Here’s What London Bought From Supreme x Louis Vuitton

Sydney flexed outerwear — London showed off how to do summer.
30/06/2017
Supreme‘s colossal collaboration with high-fashion brand Louis Vuitton has single-handedly brought the global streetwear brand to its knees yesterday as the collection’s imagery and official lookbook was unveiled. Sydney’s street styling for the drop showed how the winter pieces fared — now we get a glimpse at the stylings for lighter, more
airy variety as London’s stock has officially been released to the public. Fans of both brands arrived absolutely thirsty to get their hands on the highly coveted — and exorbitantly expensive — partnered pieces that ranged from accessories and luggage to shirts, hoodies and outerwear.

Undoubtedly the most eye-catching items of the collection include the red monogram hoodie; a fabled item that Supreme fans would never imagine would ever release again ever since the C&D issued by the LVMH label back in 2000. London weather allowed for unbuttoned jersey shirts and T-shirts to be flaunted, while others threw comfort and breathability out the window by wearing the thick red leather jacket out the door. As for accessories, wallets and backpacks were highly favored choices, with surprisingly black leather being a strong contender instead of the classic Supreme red. Lastly, scarves and sneakers rounded out what many will agree is the collaboration of a lifetime for both the NYC and Parisian houses.
Louis Vuitton x Supreme // London
Interestingly enough, we’ve discovered that certain cities released exclusive items — Sydney apparently sold the collaborative camo waist bag while it wasn’t found in the London release above. Additionally, we’re hearing from staff that all customers are restricted to only two items per person, regardless of clothing or accessory.
