WHAT IS INSPIRED WRITING?

Inspired writing occurs when the controlling spirit uses his mind to transmit suggestions to the inner mind of the medium, which remove the control of her conscious mind. He then continues to transmit thought to her subconscious, or inner, mind and it is this which stimulates the brain of the medium. Thus, the subconscious mind of the medium is linked to the mind of the controlling spirit by a telepathic rapport through which the vibrations of the spirit communicator's ideas are received in the mind of the medium.

In automatic writing, the spirit communicator controls the arm and hand of the medium to write the script. But in inspired writing, the medium's hand and arm are not controlled by the spirit communicator. The mind of the medium is controlled by suggestion from the spirit controller and is impressed, or inspired, by the ideas from the spirit and the medium writes them down. Usually the flow of words is very rapid, so it may appear as if the writing is automatic.

It is not always easy to distinguish whether or not the script emanates from a spirit source, especially if the writings are not of a high spiritual or philosophical nature. However, if the writing contains knowledge or expounds philosophy far beyond the level of understanding of the medium, it is possible to accept the script as emanating from a spirit source.

But it should be remembered that the quality and development of the medium's own mind does have an effect on the quality of the writing, as only those words already contained in her memory are available for use by spirit. It should not be overlooked, also, that there are among spirit discarnate, as there are among spirit incarnate, many levels of development. Thus, if the writing does not appear to have a high philosophical or spiritual content, it 3

does not automatically follow that it has not come from spirit. Also, in the same way as the mind of spirit can communicate with the mind of the medium, telepathy between two incarnate beings cannot be ruled out either.

However, during the association of the communicator and the medium, the personal characteristics of the communicator will be established both in the nature of the writing and the methods employed. The medium Ursula Roberts says (in "Hints on Mediumistic Development"): "The test as to the origin of the matter comes in the medium's own state of consciousness, for it is usual for a feeling of overwhelming power to precede the writing. Often the medium will feel as if a brilliant light is shining in the room, or as if the eyes are fixed into one position, denoting a state of partial control; or in that the rush of ideas and words come to an abrupt end, together with a felling of "waking up"."

INTRODUCTION

In 1982, a medium friend suggested that since I had been having some success using a pendulum, I should try automatic writing. As soon as I held a pen in my hand with this intent, I felt my hand being controlled but at first I just obtained a series of meaningless doodles. Then odd words began coming through until, at last, I was getting sentences and paragraphs. Most of them were various forms of predictions, which never turned out to be correct, and I believe I was at that time unable to raise my consciousness sufficiently to reach a high enough level of spirit workers. My contacts through automatic writing were harmless, but appeared not to be the way forward.

So I decided to try spirit communication through inspired writing instead. For some time, I sat after prayer and meditation and wrote anything that came into my head. Again, at first, there were just random words and sentences but soon small teachings began to come through. In the early months, I did not realise

However, gradually I realised that I was being passed privileged help and information and learned to date each lesson I was given, and to keep them so that spirit's words may continue to bring benefit both to me and to anybody else who may chance to see them. The early writings seem, in places, to be a bit hysterical but that probably reflected the state of my mind at that time.

During the next few years, as well as the teachings I was also given many words of advice on a very personal level, but have not included most of these as they relate to other members of my family and were private. I have only included some for their teaching value, and there are one or two passing references to members of my family.

In October 1984, I was told to prepare myself for unselfish service through the mediumship of the Brotherhood of Love. At that time, I was attending the Lodge of White Eagle and, just after receiving these words, was invited to join an absent healing circle. So, the words of my spirit mentors proved to be correct.

During 1985, while sitting in development circle, I was advised by my spirit communicators to stop the writing and concentrate on the development of my clairvoyance and clairaudience. I missed the writing but knew that, if I relied on it to answer my questions and give me the advice I sought, I would never properly develop my other gifts of spirit. So I took their advice. However, toward the end of the year, I felt the need to seek advice through the writing once again. On 12th December 1986, I was advised that the time was coming at last for me to set my foot upon my true pathway. This, indeed, was correct for very shortly afterward I conducted my first Church service. Spirit then again advised me to stop concentrating on the writing, but to focus instead upon the development of my other gifts, and I then became more involved in serving the Churches and conducting private readings. Instead of writing, I began to receive spiritual advice from my circle of teachers and helpers through my gift of clairaudience.

What is noticeable throughout are the differences in style and content of each of the spirit communicators, all with clearly different personalities. Apart from differences in content from each communicator, the "feeling" was different and my handwriting changed with each of them. My father used a particularly stylised way of writing the single word "Daddy" by which he introduced himself, and this word was always conveyed in automatic writing. However, the strange thing is that this one word with its very distinct style is totally unlike his handwriting while he was incarnate.

It is interesting to note the development of the teachings as my understanding grows.

CHAPTER ONE

THROUGHOUT 1983 These early teachings seem, as mentioned in the Introduction, to be a little hysterical in places, probably reflecting my state of mind at the time. They are also a little repetitive as spirit tried hard to get their message through to my singularly unresponsive way of thinking! Thank goodness they didn't give up on me, but persisted in trying to teach me a new way of thinking and living.

Do not be afraid of changes. Always the path is there and we will not suffer your foot to stray. We know the seeking and desperate longing of your heart to know spirit and to hear the voice of wisdom.

The uncertain human heart is strengthened through faith. Hold faith strongly. Deliver you soul into God's hands and surrender your will to his. All comes in the appointed time of God and his Will be served. Seek only unto the light with hope and faith and trust. Ask only of God his grace and wisdom. His love you have already. Ask not God for specific aid but seek only his aid in serving mankind, in healing the sick of mind or body, of comforting despair, of spreading light. Divest yourself of selfish desires and personal seekings, and desire only to serve and in the serving comes fulfilment, an exalted being above fleshly and earthly desires, of God 8

incarnate and in his image, and the at-one-ness with God. Perfection is the goal; attainment of spiritual harmony and of peace, glorifying in the Light of perfect wisdom, love and power, and healing to all mankind, irrefutable evidence of God's greatness.

Sometimes it is hard to see which way the path lies but go on and do not doubt. We watch continually and will help you. Now we say, go on and keep hope bright. Keep love shining in your heart and your soul will light up and shine in the darkness for others to follow. Know what is in your heart.

Try to say what the heart knows to be true. Love is all important, and all else follows. Be not selfish in love. If the heart has not love, then there is naught to give of oneself. Love is not selfish; love is pure and giving and unselfish and cannot be rationed.

Undeniably, God is the Light, the peace, the hope of the world to come. He needs outlets through which this light can pour to those afflicted and so needy of his ministration. Take the Light and shine it on all who pass your way. Think of the Light, dwell in the Light, and develop the inner vision to a fine and true pitch, that only that which is true and real is absorbed in the body-mind and all extraneous matter expelled like chaff on the breeze of ignorance.

All things which beset your pathway have a purpose. That purpose is the lesson of patience and strength of your faith and the choices you 9

make. Only in self-assurance can we channel to your inner self to give you our wisdom, and this is the lesson of patience which we seek to instil in you. Your heart is true, and we believe you will find joy in our love and work. Hardship may come, but we will help you to find the strength to overcome. Many tests there will be, for only in testing the mettle can we be sure of receiving the dedication of our instrument to the course of true enlightenment. Our love is with you always and we will never allow you to fall from the grace of our protection. We hold you in loving arms always because you are our dear one.

Guard well against the ingress of emotionalism. Light a candle in the darkness and shine in God's pure light. Certain difficulties may lie in your path but these can be cleared. Trust in the light and do not fall by the wayside of doubt and faithlessness. You are placed for safe-keeping always in loving hands. Do not bemoan a lack of grace. You have this in abundance for the work of spirit, which is paramount. Sometimes we know you feel that it is beyond endurance. You think of self only. We know your strength, which lies in God, and we love you always. Trust and pray for help and guidance.

Trouble not over your prospects.

Worry clouds and prevents the

outworking of good. All will become established and it will be seen that it is the right way. Behave with fortitude and stoicism at all times and have great faith. We reveal to you as the time becomes right.

Material possessions matter not at all. You have spiritual qualities which we seek to encourage and enlarge that you may do our work with courage 10

and fortitude and strength of mind. Peace will grow in your heart as your life resolves into the intended pattern. Seek to find the joy therein and feel no sense of martyrdom or frustrated hopes and desires for what might have been. We seek to cleanse the soul and instil disciplines of faith. Trouble not: earthly love cannot be bad or undesirable. All love is good. Travel wisely, dear one. Seek always deeper into your inner self. Understand that guidance is given, and accept cheerfully your place in life. Searching never ends. It cannot, for always there is knowledge to be sought and all can never be learned.

Feel the radiance in your soul and let it

expand. Delight in God's love and protection and seek your own godliness.

The words we give are our gift of wisdom. Do not concern yourself that they will make much of an impact on a non-believer. This is the path they choose to follow, and words from another will not benefit. The time of choice for them will occur at the time right for them and, again, that is then their choice.

Do not fret over this earthly life. There is another life beyond where all which seems unfair at this time will be balanced in the scales of justice. Build for yourself all that you can of goodness during this life upon the earth and try always to be kind to others, lest you receive back your unkindness. Good and bad are always balanced. You have only to give to receive, and have only to find good in others to reflect the good in yourself.

2nd November 1983 Trust in the way of God. All things will be. There is no changing the course of destiny. Give great thought to your path through life. Troubles can be brought to the Light for help and comfort. You must answer to God because all you do is of God. The spirit is of great importance. The plan is for God to be served. This is indivisible. Seek only to serve and do not compromise your path. Never turn from serving. Serve in any way you can, only serve.

CHAPTER TWO

The tone of some of these communications received throughout 1984 is still a little hysterical-sounding in places, but it is quite remarkable to see how the content improves and expands throughout the year, and the communications begin to settle down into a steadier pattern of teachings. Some repetition was still necessary to get the teachings through to me! They begin to grow longer and more profound as I settle comfortably into this method of communication and my understanding deepens, and also as I begin to ask specific questions, although these questions are not recorded.

30th January 1984 Many times the wise searcher pauses to look. Travel the road wisely, always searching the true way. The journey forward is arduous and, many times, 12

seemingly insurmountable problems occur, but these can be overcome if love is given and the heart is true.

1st February 1984 Begin meditation always with a thought of love. Never pause in your striving and thirst for knowledge of Light and for the Light. Take the Light and the Love into your heart and be always strong and sure of God and your faith will grow and lighten the darkness, and peace will grow in your heat and tranquility in your life, and your light will shine out to lighten the way for others.

6th February 1984 Below the surface of the mind lies great strength. Use this strength to fight negative thoughts and influences. All that comes to pass is part of the plan and guidance is always given for the path to be chosen wisely. Sometimes it is extremely difficult for you to see the way, and great power must be brought to bear on your troubled mind. Never stray from the heart's desires, and always be true to God in all thoughts and actions. Send out loving thoughts and live in the Breath of God, and you will always be protected and guided toward good. Never divert from this path. Great joy comes from service given by helping others. Follow your heart. Your heart cannot be wrong.

Do no allow fear to determine your pathway. Fear is not the route to God. Love of any form cannot be wrong. All love is Godlike and divine in nature. Earthly love and spirit love and God love - all are divine and for good. Fear is a negative influence and can impede development and the growth of the love light and divinity, and the service to God will thus end. But 13

always our love will surround and protect you. Do not block yourself off from it. Send out loving thoughts at all times and exorcise fear from your heart. This only is the Light and the Way and the Truth.

21st February 1984 Be aware of two things.

One is the joy of contact with spirit. This comes at times of need, when help is sought for the good of others, and help given should be gratefully received, and God be thanked in his wisdom.

The second is truthfulness to oneself and others. Without truth there can be nothing, for untruth causes disharmony. If you feel afraid, admit it and turn it to advantage by transmuting it to love.

The inner flame burns strongest at times of contact with the power of the Christ-love. Transmit this love to those in need and it will touch their lives and transform them. It takes time, but it comes. We can only say this: send out love and be aware of us with you, around you, holding you in our loving embrace and uplifting you. Allow harmony to enter your life. Be at one with God and nature and always keep the inner flame burning.

5th March 1984 The path chosen wisely cannot be wrong. If it feels right, then do what the heart decrees. Use your insight and inner self to go into the Light and meditate upon the God gift of spiritual love. Give more of yourself and your time, and your love to God. He is the ultimate raison d'etre and must so be 14

loved and praised, and heart-wholeness given to his work. Give of your time and self in meditation and prayer.

6th March 1984 Do

not

concern

yourself

about

forgetting

things

told

to

you

in

meditation. These are always retained in the consciousness and cannot be forgotten. Knowledge sought is always rewarded and insight given into truth. We are always here. It needs only loving thoughts to make the channel of communication open for us to give you guidance. Send your loving thoughts and we answer you. Not always in the way sought, but answers and guidance will come.

Love is of pure form and light. It cannot be seen or touched by the human being but is the most tangible form of energy and the most powerful of life forces. It cannot be encompassed but is all-encompassing. It is of this that we teach. This is your life's meaning for which you seek. All is there, simply take the scales from your eyes and then your heart-mind will discern. It is irrefutable and inherent. This is what you seek.

We can only say what is true and we cannot reveal all for we do not know all. We too are learning. But place faith in a loving heart. Do not deviate from your chosen pathway and give to it your heart-wholeness. We teach you slowly. It cannot be rushed. You must see and understand one step at a time. We cannot teach the end before the beginning, and must reveal to you little by little as you become ready to receive. Travel wisely. We are with you always.

16th March 1984 Begin always with thoughts of love. This is good and makes the link.

Shoulder all burdens with grace and goodwill, never feeling despair and hopelessness. Remember, all comes together for good and, no matter what the hardship, it is a lesson to be learnt and is the outworking of God's will. Hard times will come, and this we cannot prevent. These lessons must be learnt. It is something to be done and the only way is to accept with cheerfulness and go on. Yes, always go on with your face turned toward the Light and your heart tuned to God. We cannot change the course of your destiny. Lessons come hard, but must come, and much will be learned and your footsteps will become firmer on the pathway.

We cannot say the course your life will take, we just say: follow with gladness, and trust in the outworking of God's plan. Do not trouble or fear. The angels of mercy are ever watchful.

11th April 1984 Before learning, trials must come. Nothing learnt easily is worth much. You must have patience and continually strive for perfection of communication before the next step is revealed.

See deep in your heart the reasons for wishing your spiritual ears and eyes to be opened. Are your reasons pure? If your reasons are for your own aggrandisement, then these gifts will not be granted. Gifts are given only to those who will use them selflessly for the good of others and, if not so used, will be removed. Your spiritual ears and eyes will be opened if your reasons 16

are pure, but perhaps at this time they are not? Search deeply within for the answer.

Your Guide will come to your awareness when the time is right. But always send him your loving thoughts and make your heart and mind ready to receive him.

Do not doubt.

Continue nightly communications and prayer with

God. Remember to send love out. You will find this hard but it will come with practice. You need only open your heart-mind. You will learn to do this with great effort and patience. Strive, always strive. Always there is a guide for every person incarnate. Always, if a person is willing to give service, one will come to assist who will give more than he receives. Always we give tenfold any effort you make. This is the way of love.

A troubled heart does not make good soil to plant the seeds of wisdom. Always have faith in your continued guidance.

Daddy. In service you will find joy and contentment. My daughter, be happy. I am proud of you and shower my blessings upon you and all your loved ones. Do not trouble about small difficulties. They will be smoothed by lovingness. My daughter, I am always with you, as are my photographs. I see you look at them, and I smile at you. You see me sometimes now in your heart-mind. Keep looking for me and you will see me. I am always with you with love. You have kept faith with me for sixteen years, searching for me, and will find me always with love. Do not cry. Tears of happiness, I know. When you become emotional I cannot get my thoughts into your mind.

Send me your love as always and I can come on that love link. I go now. I love you.

16th April 1984 Our child fears to know too little and asks to know much. We can only say this: you see and hear, but you do not trust your own conception of all that is given. Mind travelling teaches much.

Regarding your guide: he will come into your awareness and this will be soon. Already he stands waiting beside you, waiting only for you to open your heart-mind. Let the rose of love bloom in your heart-mind.

Trust, child, have trust in your hearing. Words spoken in your mind become written on paper for your understanding. Trouble not your brow with furrows as beneath the plough. Serenity is the easier field in which to sow the seeds of wisdom, truth and light. The rose blooms in the heart and therefrom grows a garden of purity and the perfume is the essence of life.

In our hearts we burn the candle of infinite love. Let the candles join and burn as one in one great light to encompass the universe and all beyond. Dedicate your heart to God. You have come many miles of learning but it is unfathomable how many are left to assimilate. Your ears will hear, your eyes will see, if you let the light shine in your heart. My child, we wish to teach you so much. You have the capacity to be of great service. Do not let earthliness divert you. Grow in spiritual stature and love, and learn, learn, learn all that we can teach you. Our motives are for the continual unfoldment of each individual soul.

Your earth-mind must accept what the heart-mind knows. There is in you great purity and goodness and love, but this is oftentimes overwhelmed by the material mind and outlook which was imposed on you as an immature child. You returned from your visit as a child in your meditation, but this child must grow in adult wisdom. Make more such journeys. Each time you will 18

return with greater maturity, wisdom and love, until the child becomes adult and develops the ability to be of great service to mankind.

Humility is right, but no so much that the I AM becomes "I cannot, I am not good enough". Trust us, for we are good enough. You are the humble instrument we have chosen to use. Be the humble instrument, but allow the great musicians to play thereon. You feel over-awed and overwhelmed. You feel doubt crowding. You wonder wherein fits your earthly life and love. We say: your earthly life and love is a means of learning to play the music sweetly, more sweetly than before.

Practice prayer and meditation. Your guide comes to stand beside you. Your mind cries when, when will that be? Be patient, child. Your learning has been long, and the preparation for your tasks has been difficult. There will be yet more hardship but it is for the love of God and the cause of peace on earth that you must suffer so in your learning. Trust, child, always trust in your guidance.

Feel God's love and live always in the Light. The next step comes soon. Do not ask.

Precipitating causes disruption.

All will become clear at the

appointed time. Our blessings upon you and all you hold dear. Bless you, child.

17th April 1984 What does I AM mean?

I AM is the greater consciousness.

It is the greater self beyond that which is seen and known on the earth.

I AM is the knowledge of all things past and yet to come.

I AM is the greatness, the goodness, the selflessness.

I AM is the overself, the puppet master, which controls all facets of itself, all incarnations of itself.

I AM is the conscience.

I AM is the divinity, the Christ Light, the link to the Great Spirit.

I AM is the God in oneself.

I AM is the entirety, the all-encompassing purpose, way and truth.

I AM is in all people, all things.

We see that you understand. Now begin to know the I AM. Meditate upon the I AM. Find the I AM and your guide will come the work will commence, and true fulfilment will come to your heart-mind and body-mind. Continue, go on, find the I AM. Become the I AM.

17th April 1984 Become daily more godlike as the rose blooms in the heart. This you will do with prayer, meditation and the genuine desire to serve selflessly. You must seek to find gently your missing key, which is not hard to find. Do this with prayer and calmness. Do not fret that part is missing, this will come quietly at the appointed time, and from then all will come good if the will is there and the intentions are pure and selfless.

Never seek to disturb what is gone and behind you. Always look forward and grow onward and upward. Past is past, and lessons learned help in forward growth. Put behind you things which are gone. Find the essence of the rose of love and instil it in your heart. Travail and hardship develop character and inter strength and test the mettle of the instrument. Our instruments must be fully tested that they may bear always with fortitude times of distress and yet 20

go on, ever onwards, in the desired purpose. Only your own inner strength can fulfil this purpose. We cannot give you this strength, but keep asking it of you. Learn to find the I AM. Therein lies the key.

Daddy. I see you troubled and doubtful, and this should not be so. There is a purpose, a great purpose. You have been truly told and I grow proud to see you learning to find the true way and path. In my earth life, I had this not but now I know the truth. You begin to find this now and it is good. Through me you began to seek the way. You were lost but are found. I was lost to you, but you can find me always in your heart. Seek beyond your limits. Seek wider and further than your mind now extends. I speak truly to you: always my child doubts. Do you have no confidence in us to guide you truly? Trust in us, we seek only to help you learn. All the family stands with you to help. My child, we grow weary of your doubting heart. Have faith in yourself as great as your faith in spirit and the Great Good Lord of All. We can do so much to help but there is a limit, it must come from within yourself. I speak, for you have always loved and trusted my word: I tell you, trust me now as you did in my earth-life. Only believe truly and the scales will fall from your heart and mind. You truly have the "I Cannot" temperament. This must become I can, I AM. Daddy Treasure these words always.

18th April 1984 Idealistic people tend to become confused by everyday occurrences and patterns. Their ideals conflict with earthly "reality". As children they are accused of day-dreaming and begin to feel guilty about dreaming. But it is not dreaming: it is being in contact with the Great Consciousness. Conflict is 21

created in the mind by the urge of the natural instinct to defer to the Consciousness being overridden by parental training to stop dreaming and face "reality" - the parent's concept of reality. Thus begins the conflict of heartmind and body-mind.

To breach this conflict, the childhood pattern of day-dreaming must be reestablished. When dreams descend, allow them to happen. Allow the mind to wander into the realms of fancy. The link is made again to the Cosmic Consciousness and rebirth into Truth begins. This is not controlling the bodymind and does not need great effort: it is simply allowing the natural order of things to occur and, hence, should not prove difficult to the natural dreamer, who was intentionally created this way.

Allow the wanderings of the mind. Do not shut off natural patterns. Then there will begin to be no need of conscious effort to overcome the "I Cannot"; as one again tunes in naturally to the Great Cosmic Consciousness, it feeds the body-mind (also known as the Id) with the natural patterns for it to follow. Training of the Id by vigorous methods fails to achieve naturalness, but instils yet more conflict. It is the natural order of things that the Id be controlled by the I AM and, in allowing day-dreaming (tuning to the Cosmic Consciousness) to occur, this puts the two in touch with each other again, and achieves the vital contact wherein the Consciousness controls the Id. This is the right way of things.

Do not make great efforts to overcome your perceived faults of the personality. Do not inflict yet more control on the body-mind and behaviour patterns

Allow nature to take its course and tune in to the Cosmic

Consciousness, in order that natural patterns and harmony may be restored. In this way, old and incorrect patterns are replaced by the Ancient and True.

Meditation at set times is essential for discipline, especially in the beginner who is still seeking, searching, reaching, in a fog of matter and misconception. But day-dreaming is more important. Allowing the mind to wander off, so that the I AM can contact the Id more naturally and retake control of it, without it seizing up and denying ingress to the I AM, as it may do at pre-planned meditation times.

Disciplines are imposed on the I AM from the moment of birth, refusing it free access to the Id. The Id begins trying to take control of the I AM (reversing Cosmic Law) and tries to smother it. As is true of all tyrants, it fears that which it unnaturally controls, so that if one deliberately sets out to allow the I AM to resume control, the Id steps in and creates fear of the step to be taken, fear of the I AM. It is imperative therefore that the resumption of the I AM's control is done gently. When the I AM descends spontaneously through day-dreaming, it should not be pushed away; the mind should be allowed to float and drift with the I AM, so that the natural disciplines are gently instilled into the Id. This is the only way. The I AM cannot be disciplined to follow set rules and patterns, because these rules and patterns are of earthly conception and alien to Cosmic Law, not as encompassing, and not the true way. The Id must always be led by the I AM. Understanding is not in itself enough. There must be total acceptance of the understanding. No attempts to force the Id to lie down, no straining toward the I AM. This creates a barrier to the entry of the I AM and gives the Id its opportunity to breed fear, so that when a glimmer of the I AM appears, electric charges of fear are emitted by the body-mind and the I AM is repulsed. It must be done gently and with love, so that the Id understands that it has no reason to fear. With understanding, and acceptance of this understanding, the I AM 23

gains mastery, the Id has free access to the wisdom and love of the I AM, and the two fuse into the natural Cosmic pattern in harmony and tranquility.

27th June 1984 The unfoldment of the self is a process of self-awareness, dedication, belief and faith. Deliver yourself wholeheartedly to God and trust in his infinite wisdom. We do not fully know the plan: enough to know it is good, right and just. And the plan is made for all. Each individual has his path to follow but with choices to make because man has free will. The choice can be one or the other - just one or the other - and, hence, there can be no punishment for wrong choices made. And we are always here to give guidance, love and assistance.

Do not try too hard. Gently, gently is the way: calmness, serenity, tranquility and inward-looking, soul-seeking, self-knowledge.

Do not search for your guide as an individual with a personal name. Seek guidance and wisdom, and your guide will come. Aides always stand beside you in your aura enfolding you in love and, at the appropriate time, they move on to others of greater need. But your guide is steadfastly beside you and never leaves you. Do not seek personalities in spirit. It is enough to seek the spirit, to love God and to live in the Christ-light.

It is inevitable that mistakes are made. You are human and fallible, but love is always around you, and there is no chastisement for mistakes made in honesty, while seeking for truth. Try to find more time for prayer and meditation: we know it is difficult in the material world, and you have much at this time to occupy your thoughts and cause disruption and heartache. But 24

keep the faith, feel the love we send and live always in the peace and harmony of the Christ-light. God's blessings and love with you always.

5th July 1984 My child, look upwards to the heavens soaring above you. Feel the presence of the Master in your heart. Feel the inspiration of the Sun. Breathe in the breath of God's love. Before you always is the sun, around you always is God's creation, within you always is God's love. Open your heart and mind to his wisdom, love and power. Seek always the Light. Do not let depression submerge your divinity and aspiration to the God-centre blooming in your heart.

It is said that Jesus said, "Suffer little children to come unto me." All people are the children of God. All can transmute themselves in aspiration to God. Seek the centre of your soul, your heart-mind. Look outward and upward to God. Allow the Christ-light to surge within your breast. Seek consciously and unconsciously for the Light. The Light, the way and the truth are before your seeking mind. Only look into the heart.

10th August 1984 The Angels descend into your aura to work their miracles and healing and to transfix your heart-mind in their image. Deliver you heart-mind into their safekeeping and always seek the inner radiance of your being. Glorify in God and send his radiance out into the world through the window of your soul.

Your path is now cleared of obstruction and your way forward is clear. You may now reach outward and inward, learning to raise your consciousness and 25

forging the link with your Guardian Angel and guide. We are pleased that you are coming into awareness of the constancy of the Light and that your faith is growing stronger within you. Hold fast to this faith and do not allow the lower mind ingress. Your confidence in God is well-placed: never forget you are one of his children, in his safe-keeping and care, never forgotten, abandoned or alone. But as the sparrow fall, his heart is sore, and he knows the passing of the soul into the Light. God's Truth is eternal. Know this always: his love is unchanging, his Truth is unchanging, the infinite source of all creation, wisdom, love and power.

There is beside you a host of brethren enfolding you in love, seeking admittance to your consciousness that they may guide and teach you. Your Master is at hand. Know your Master. Seek him and he will come. For all in life have a Master of Wisdom and need only to seek, to love and to open their hearts and minds to the patience of their loving mentor. All wisdom comes from the Master. All truths can be learned, it is necessary only to seek with devotion and right thought.

Now we say: your gifts are being developed. You are learning patience but must learn dedication also. You acknowledge God, you praise God: now learn to live with God, in God and for God, to serve and accord him your total loyalty and devotion. Doubt not that we are pleased with your progress. You are learning, my child, but still there is more, much more, to be learned. A little dove grows and expands and, in filling herself with the Light of God, can become as the eagle.

We have among us one who is as the sun pouring his light into your heart. This is the man you call Daddy, who is become as a great light shining in the heavens. Accept this light of love from him, as it aids you on your path.

11th October 1984 Tenderly we say to you that things are well done. All that comes before God is in his Light. Prayer and meditation come into his knowledge and he knows all the hearts tuned to his way, and his love is sent warmly to surround and keep you. Troubles have come and been bravely faced and you have not been found wanting. Tears have flowed and have not been unnoticed, but we feel now that there is more acceptance in your heart. Travel further along this path. We hear your desire to know your task and the time is almost upon you when this will be revealed and will begin. Trust and face bravely the task given and bear the load and weight thereof. Sufficient unto the day.

There is much to be done. Now is coming the time of dedication to a belief and of proving the selfless desire to serve. Prepare yourself for this unselfish service which will be hard at times to continue giving. This service comes in the form of continual giving of light into the darkness and will be asked of you

by God through the mediumship of the Brotherhood of Love. Do not fear, but seek only to know what is good and pure and true, that you might know your service at the appointed time, and how to conduct yourself. Do not seek to know, you will discover at the appointed time.

The flame will yet grow stronger, the heart grow yet more true.

29th October 1984 Your desire to work is yet as strong as ever and you find comfort in the Healing Circle. But yet you desire the clairvoyance. To see is for you paramount in importance. Have faith, child. It will come, but yet you have much to settle in the earth-life, and the material body must at times gain 27

ascendancy, that the surroundings become conducive to the development and the work.

13th November 1984 Before God we stand, not to be judged nor found wanting, but to offer ourselves in service. The ways are manifold but the path, once chosen, should be faithfully followed always. A fall from grace does not incur wrath nor punishment.

Forgiveness is given to the humble heart and the way

continues. Accept with a loving heart any aid given on the way, but seek not always to know "what next". Keep on keeping on and understanding will come.

Various choices lie open to you. One is the sincerely spiritual path of abstinence and self-effacement. One is the path of earthly desires and gratification. Yet another is a tender melding of the two. We suggest the latter is the path to be followed, with time given to spiritual sustenance and time for earthly bodily sustenance.

Rewards are given for adherence and perseverance. But what we ask is the humble loving heart and good intentions, with loving service to God. Do not upbraid yourself continuously for failing to uphold the standards you set for yourself. Just keep on keeping on, trying, always trying to do your best, but forgiving yourself for what you see as your failures, as you would forgive others.

Do not expect more of yourself than you would expect of

others. Know only that you do your best at any given time. There is much to accomplish, but there is all eternity to accomplish it in. Enough that you know we are here.

You have a path: to communicate. Have we not answered now? You seek to know more. We say: patience, dear child. Again, keep on keeping on, and all will come at the appointed time.

14th November 1984 Do not seek beyond that which you thus far know to be established and true practice, for fear of being dogged by mischievous spirits. Tread carefully on the pathway of instruction. Do not play with your fevered imaginings, and discount anything of the regression techniques which we fear thrusts you into the mists of confusion. (Note: this refers to a recent past-life regression session I had been to, which caused me confusion.) This does not necessarily mean the experience is not relevant. It forms part of your learning, but is not heavily to be relied upon because the method of application may be suspect. Without correct guidance, the memory may be at fault and lead into paths of untruth and fright.

Learn to concentrate the mind upon a single issue. Dwell upon one thought, whether that thought be the embodiment of a spirit guide or a single word of love. Focus the mind thereon. Repeat it over and over to create the form. Materialise the guide in your mind's eye and he will appear. Crystallise the voice of guidance and the voice will come forth. It is not easy for you and requires practice, steadfast and honest.

Draw a picture in your imagination of your guide. With noble brow whereon reposes a vibrant shining star. A face of gentle kindness and humour, mouth upturned in gentle welcome. The eyes are turned to you in beseeching love and he raises his hand and bids you welcome to his sphere. The voice is mellifluous, deep and pleasing to the ear. Hear it. Allow yourself to rise into 29

the beauty of the light. Feel yourself rise and float into it. Take the proffered hand and cling to it for guidance and comfort, and know that you are a cherished daughter of God. Relax in this happy state. See the wonders which surround you and hear the excellent words spoken. You will remember much if this guidance is accomplished in a waking state, instead of the sleep state.

Believe, and you will find goodness. Accept, and you will find peace. Love, and you will find truth. Be silent, and you will find wisdom. Laugh, for in laughter you follow the way of God. Daddy. My child, I am always here beside you. You may sometimes now briefly see me before you and sometimes be aware of my presence. I am progressing and still feel amazement at where I find myself!

CHAPTER THREE

There are fewer transmissions in 1985, since I had begun sitting in development circle and was advised to rely less heavily upon inspired writing but to concentrate instead upon developing my gifts of clairaudience, clairvoyance and clairsentience. I felt the need greatly to "know who my guide is" so I was given a name to use. It was not until years later, when it no longer felt to me to be of paramount importance and I let go of the need to know, that I learned to know the main communicators who all together refer to themselves as the Blue Fire Group.

March 1985 Question: At this time, I know nothing of my Master or Teacher. Will I learn something of him or her soon?

What do you desire to know?

Question: You know my obsession with names, although I realise they are of little importance to you. I would like to know the name of my

Teacher so that

I may address him politely.

Your Teacher speaks. This thing of names - call me Guiding Light

for that is my purpose in your life. I speak with you often. You have much learning to accomplish but who knows what you might achieve? Open your heart-mind yet more fully, child, this is the only way. Guiding Light - yes, it is a good name to use. We hope to hear it often. You smile. This smile is of pleasure and happiness. So simple and meaningless a thing is a name, but it gives ease to your heart. We bless you.

Question: What can I do to thank you for the help you give me daily?

Answer:

Service, child, and a brave heart, a smiling face, gladness and, of

more importance than anything, love. It is your love which we use to help and heal. Without this love, we could not work.

Question: How do I know it is your wisdom I follow, or my own mind? How can I know when I am "hearing true"?

Answer:

Believe. Look into the heart-mind. Does it feel right? If it feels

right, it is right.

April 1985 Guiding Light is come to speak of maters of concern from this World of Light for your world of darkness.

We speak of your doubts for the future of humankind. Believe strongly in salvation, for it will come, and cease despairing for what you fear of the lowering of your accepted standards. You know truly of the Native American man, and was he not considered to be lower than your accepted standards? But did he not know truly of the standards of God and the true ways of life? Cannot perhaps you envisage that this is the preparation of man for the Golden Age when again he will live truly according to the ways of God? Be firm in your sympathy for what befell the Native American man for, in your heart, you know his way was good.

Does one person need to know the history of the world if he knows the Life of God and lives as his embodiment? Does one person need to know the ways of the mathematician if he knows the Way of God? And does he yet need to know literature if he knows the Word of God? And does he, yet again, need to know of science and alchemy if he knows and lives in the Light? And if he can manipulate the healing rays, what need he to know of your doctoring?

Believe in the future of your world, my child, for is it not truly God's world, and is not God perfect and wise in all things? Man is small and oft-times foolish, yet at the dawn of the Golden Age he becomes more aware and, as the child learning to crawl, he is now emerging into the New Age where yet he will learn to walk in the full joy of knowledge of God's word and light.

This despair for the future of humankind is yet your weakness, child. Your faith is not complete. You say you believe the Golden Age is coming, yet you say this with your mouth and not your heart. Absorb this thought into your 32

heart and merge it into your soul: the Native American race were a proud and mighty nation yet they fell, by earthly standards. Were they not absorbed into the World of Light for having learnt wisdom and love and, as is the Way of God, received their just reward? One race falls and another rises, as your conception has it, but you must realise that the rise on earth is preparation for the true rise into the Light, and the fall on earth is the absorption into the World of Light.

Your judgment, child, is still sometimes confused and reversed. You should spend more time in the Light through prayer and meditation. Lip service does not prepare the soul for advancement. Advancement comes only through a pure, true, loving and selfless heart. You believe, child, this we know. But you must now live your beliefs. God bless and keep you. We will guide you. Let us in.

20th June 1985 My child, you wish to know so much! Yours is the ever-seeking mind, wanting always to know all things and wishing glimpses of the future. But of this we speak, in answer to your questions.

The father of your heart is progressing well on his pathway. He seeks out the Light and is a giver of peace and light. Yes, he does exceedingly well and is a good and helpful brother. He will yet be here to receive you when you join the Light and may guide you into your rightful place. Seek not to draw him too often unto you. His work is of utmost importance, although we understand the seeking of a daughter's heart.

Seek always that inner voice and guidance, and follow it truly. The time will come when more service is asked and can yet be given in love. We ask only that you continue to humble the mind and to allow the development of spirit first and emergence of the true self. Do not seek the psychic. Seek the spirit first, and the psychic may present itself.

Of me, your Guiding Light, there is much you might learn, but the times is not yet. More patience, honest endeavour and strengthening of the inner self's bond is yet needed. But our love is with you to give you assistance. I am always beside you to help guide and bear you in your times of trouble or seeking.

Trust, child, and pray for understanding and spiritual harmony and grace. Never doubt yourself for you are spirit and, in doubting yourself, you doubt us. Unveil the true lovingness of a forgiving heart, believe in your path and that of those around you. Remember, believe in God's justice and the balancing of the scales, and that all people find retribution and reward through the love of God and the so-called after-life, which truly is life itself. All pretences, disharmonies and unkindnesses fall before the same awe-full infinite justice of the loving God, the Father-Mother, the Creator of All. In all things there is justice: whatsoever ye soweth, so shall ye reap.

18th September 1985 You desire to know things to the extent of losing sight of the true vision, but this knowledge can only come if you keep your eyes and heart fixed on the Light and develop soul-consciousness in the prescribed manner, and do not deviate. We will help you all we can.

We cannot give you directions and a point-to-point campaign. We only can say: pray, meditate and draw in the Light. There are no short-cuts, no easy routes. There is only dedication and an honest desire to serve. Then only can you begin to Know God and fulfil your life-plan. Your Guide is always here to help you, in meditation you will find him. What matter if you see or hear him not? His soul speaks to your soul, offering guidance and assistance. What matter if earth-consciousness recalls not the journey in meditation? The soulmind does not forget: any assistance or guidance offered is retained in your soul-mind and your sub-conscious will follow it. However, we can say that as you grow in soul-consciousness, so will you grow in vision, and recall in the earth consciousness will become reality, vision of our people become possible, so too will hearing.

Seek to know the truth you seek by following your heart. Bask in the Light in meditation and do only what feels comfortable and right. Surrender to the will of God for he only knows the Truth and the Plan. Seek daily to align yourself to his way in daily prayer. Give help where it is needed but do not seek to force help on those who desire it not. Let the Light shine. Breathe in the light, and breathe it out to all humankind. Make daily affirmations and you will find fully the I AM and grow in wisdom and beauty of the soul, will begin to know your life-plan and will find the way in which to fulfil your destiny.

10th October 1985 Despite all the heartbreak at present apparent, there is no cause for fear of disillusionment. The young man causing such great distress will go soon from your life, and the way will become clear for tranquility and harmony to manifest themselves in your life and your surroundings. Try now to hold on to this 35

thought, and do not be impatient for all to occur at the precise moment you desire it. All things come in time if they are for good and necessary for soul growth.

We believe that harmony and peace are necessary for your soul growth, so these qualities will manifest, but your soul must be ready to accept, and to cease striving for perfection of your earth surroundings but, instead, for perfection of your soul. The Light can manifest in your home if you allow it. All the ingredients are present which are required: just mix them wisely.

Take this prayer: Heavenly Father, I am your child. Let me grow in wisdom, truth and beauty in the Light, and help my soul to find its responses in your goodness and guidance. Help me to develop quietness and patience. Teach me also to trust absolutely in you, to have faith in your plan for my soul. Help me in my unbelief and let me attune myself to you that I might become the perfect instrument of

your peace.

These are the words of your eternal

daughter. Amen

29th November 1985 Remember always that the power lies within and without all things, all beings, all life, and all creation. There is nothing other than the power. The power is all life and all creation. Dwell in the Light, and on the Light. Focus always on the Light that it may grow and encompass the world. The Truth is all, and all is Truth.

Fine words, which sound good and wise. But these words are truth, and always will be, having always been. There is but one God, one Light, one 36

Power and one Truth. All is one and cannot be divided. Life could not exist without God, for God is Life. Find this power within yourself and encourage it to grow. Concentrate upon it. Never let it leave the conscious mind, for to ignore Truth once it is known is worse by far than never to have known it at all. The guiltless cannot be punished, but the guilty create their own punishment.

You have this awareness: dwell on it, develop it, and live in your awareness. Do not allow your progress to lapse, keep ever going onward and do not become complacent. It is not enough to say "tomorrow, let it be done". Let it be done today, now and always. Do not make excuses for your procrastinations. Accept that there are no excuses, and keep on keeping on, growing always in the Light and toward the Light, toward truth and beauty and wisdom, and the power of truth over all which is man-made, for all which is man-made is God-given and can only continue through the grace of God. Fools cannot prosper. The greedy can only dwindle in their souls. The soul profits only through love and understanding of what is, and not that which man has surrounded in dogma, selfishness or evil-mindedness.

Give all you can, where you can, and resent it not. Regret only when you have not given enough. Regret never for having given at all, even if in giving you yourself are left without. There is enough for all. Do not lose sight of that which is all-important through mistaken striving for earthly gain or acceptance. Striving should be for the advancement of the soul, all other is wasted effort. Give all to God, and he will give to you. This is the Truth, now and evermore.

CHAPTER FOUR

In 1986, I only felt the need to resort to the writing on one occasion when I became confused and full of despair about my progress, and what the future held for me spiritually. I was also having many problems in my home life.

12th December 1986 Do not despair. All will come right. The time is at hand for progress to be made, but your spirit is low and needs raising to your former level of awareness - and beyond. For this, healing is necessary. Surrender to the healing in willingness and total acceptance. Let the mind lie, accept what is given, and what will come during the healing process will enable you to regain your footing on your pathway. Simply trust and believe. You have done no wrong and are not a failure. Times change, as they must, and adaptation and growth must take place. Paths turn and bend; sometimes the traveller continues straight on and misses the pathway. Then help is need for the foot to be returned to the path. There is no crime in this but, with guidance and the acceptance of guidance, all will come right.

You feel now a gentleness of spirit and a calmness descending. This is healing being sent to you for repair of the poor lost spirit. The wings of the littler dove will yet beat again and raise her to the heights where her soul should be.

The fledgling (this refers to my older daughter who was causing severe disruptions and problems) has been causing a great drain to the spirit of our little dove, who has temporarily forgotten that she is also the symbol of peace, complete with olive branch. Hold again this olive branch and offer it in simple 38

faith and honesty. It is time now that it will be grasped. Put aside other distractions. They count not.

The time is coming at last for you to set your foot upon the beginning of your true pathway, and to ascend to the realms of spirit wherein your destiny lies. We are always here in love, awaiting the help you can give us in reaching into the earth-plane and touching seekers to bring to them also the Light of Truth. For all you give, we give tenfold, yet still your sacrifice will not be small in your terms. But you will never be asked to carry a burden heavier than you can bear. Your mettle is being forged on the anvil of life, as it has before now, and will be again. Go on, ever on and up, and all the way there will be hands of love waiting to lift you yet higher, ever higher.

Train the mind to absorb Truth and to understand what is given. Accept what is given in simplicity. Seek to hear Truth. One path ends, but another is always found. It is not always understood why a path diverts but accept that, if it feels good, then it is good. If it feels right, then it is right.

If you have a desire for something, examine this desire. Is the desire itself good? Does it sit well on your conscience? is it within your ability to do in truth and honesty? Reach for, visualise, the end product of this desire.

When you get there, examine again, ask the questions again. But do not be lulled into accepting that it is indeed the end product. Seek again. Does it extend? Does it feel right to extend? Go on, ever on, forward to greater Light, self-knowledge and service. Never believe that you have reached your maximum output. There is always more to give. Never believe you have learnt all that you can absorb. The mind, body and spirit can always absorb more, and give more. There is never an end, nor a limit. Reach out, and on, and up.

Do only that which feels right and honest and true but, if the desire is examined and sits well, then get on and do - do not shirk what is then known to be right, right either in service to mankind or in the extending the soul. To pull back once knowledge is gained is more of a crime against your soul than not having the knowledge at all. To know is to do, and to do is to live always in that deed and knowledge, and to seek ever more knowledge.

Daddy. My daughter, God grant you peace and understanding and wisdom always to do right.

CHAPTER FIVE

During 1987 and through to October 1988, I continued to serve the Spiritualist Churches, to give private readings and to be a healing channel. Then my marriage ended and, due to the pressures and personal stress, I ceased my Church work in October 1988. I had two year's of bookings which I handed over to the other members of my Circle, so in this way I was instrumental in other mediums getting started along their pathway of serving the Churches. I later remarried, and a year later gave birth to my son.

However, spirit do not give up on channels whom they have spent so much effort developing, so it is no coincidence that in December 1988 I received an invitation from the Education Committee of the Spiritualists' National Union to become a tutor for their Healing Course. I undertook this work eagerly and continued with it for the next nine years. When my son was aged five, spirit 40

began pushing me to take up my work so, once again, I began to sit for inspired writing to help me on my journey.

There is, of course, no such thing as coincidence. One of the mediums who had benefited from the bookings which I had passed on to my Circle in October 1988 was Prince Hewitt, who developed into a fine and active medium. In January 1996, I saw him when he served Hayes Church and he advised the President that I was a medium and should be given a booking in her Church. She took his advice and, once again, I found myself serving the Spiritualist Churches. So, spirit had demonstrated to me once again that, for every service we do for another, it is returned to us. My bookings had helped Prince to get started in 1988, and he in his turn got me started again in 1996. The workings of spirit are wonderful indeed.

In November 1995, when the urge to return to my work as a medium became so strong and I started receiving inspired writing once again, there was a great deal of conflict within my extended family, and references are made to this in the earlier scripts of this year. Once I began to serve on the Churches' platforms again, I was advised to stop writing and concentrate on my work. You will see from the following writings, how greatly the style differs from my earlier writings. This reflects, I suppose, my own further development, and the fact that I now knew I was working with my Guide rather than a series of different helpers who all, I later came to understand, were part of the Blue Fire Group - named for my guide.

During this year, I began recording the questions I was asking when I sat to receive the inspired writing. There are a few references to my husband (an atheist) and my son, a hyperactive child. The teachings are becoming less generalised.

Saturday 4th November 1995 Welcome back to the fold. We hope you will continue to give service and love. Life can be unexpectedly hard and problems may arise which are not foreseen, but they are learning grounds and will help your continued spiritual unfoldment.

Your husband may or may not come to understand and find the knowledge which is available, but this is not in our remit to say or reveal to you. You must just persevere with what lies within your own heart. Continue to receive guidance and ask for help, and you will find your way forward into greater service, and opportunities will be presented where you can help. Listen for the words and they will come. Trust, faith, harmony of all parts of the self. Seek the great peace within and you will learn to cope with the darker side of your personality and with the hard times. Go within, we will never fail you nor abandon you. We have always been here and will always be here.

Take time to adjust to new circumstances around you. Do not rush blindly in. Think with the heart-mind and feel what is right. We cannot say do this, do that; we can only suggest what is in your best interest and try to help you and keep you on your path. Slowly, slowly. No-one who offers to serve is turned away.

Wednesday 8th November 1995 A reminder: the Way, the Light and the Truth.

Teach me, said the child in simple faith, and he was taught. Show me, said the man in quiet love, and he was shown. We are the crucibles of our own existence in which may be forged the truth of the path which we must 42

follow. We only know at any given point what is that point and, in truth, blind faith should be what we seek. That, though we be blind to our future, in faith we may be true to it. Going always where we are led, for we are only led to where we should be. There is no end or beginning, just an endless journey. The journey must be endless for it cannot end until perfection is reached - and can perfection be reached?

A question, ah, but the answer is

in the heart - it is not human to be perfection, and perfection is not human. Humanity is weak and that is their strength - for it is in weakness that lessons are learned.

Thursday 9th November Pursuit of happiness costs dearly for all who do not see where their true destiny and happiness lies. Old ways of life must end and a new devotion be sought, dwelling in the light, keeping the heart-mind open to receive guidance from those who know, following always what feels right. Do not dwell in darkness and gross materialism but raise the thoughts to the higher realms and accept that once the way is known, it is known. There is no other way forward. Only backward into regret, or forward in the light and love of true service for humanity.

You ask, does this mean present relationships must end? No, but they must change. Just believe, have faith, nothing is meant to harm you. Occupy your mind with purity, participate in a spiritual life, meditation prayer, good thoughts for health and comfort, and the light again will break and dawn in your life: radiant, glowing, shining from your heart centre to encompass those around you. Set a good example and others will follow.

It is good to care for animals. They bring out goodness in your heart and nurture the caring instincts. Conquer the anger that burns inside and allow the love and tenderness to grow and fill you, to spread its radiance to the world.

Wednesday 15th November 1995 (The anger that is referred to is due to the problems in my extended family. These problems were made worse by the fact that they could not accept my spiritual journey and I was accused of "being caught up in a dangerous cult"!)

You have done better in controlling your anger.

When anger is felt, consciously replace it with a feeling of love directed toward the source of the anger. Draw the light around you and let it shine from you. It is hard and takes much practice but it is worth the effort. Anger blocks and clouds and interferes with spiritual unfoldment. How can you live in love and give love if you have anger burning within? This is the first step on your new pathway - learning to replace anger with a loving heart. You need to do this to help your own child on his spiritual pathway. He has much anger inside him it is learned anger, learned angry responses. Teach him to respond with love, by setting your own example. Patience and tolerance grow as anger is replaced with love.

You have sought for something with which to occupy yourself - let now your footsteps rejoin the path where you left it, and your life will be fulfilled in service and giving to others. You will never seek again for something to fill time. Allow time for yourself but not in selfishness - time for selfless giving of love in service through prayer, meditation and healing thoughts. Do not 44

swerve from this pathway but be ready to ask for help and guidance if your foot slips and you stumble. We will not let you fall. Where the path is rocky and steep, we will carry you in our arms. Seek solace in goodness. Make recompense for mistakes made in the past; balance your ledger and let the credits outweigh the debits. Only in this way can you progress.

Once you have learned to conquer the anger, then we can work on fear. One step at a time. There is nothing to be gained from rushing headlong and trying to assimilate and relearn too many things at one time. Just put your hand in ours and feel God's infinite love, wisdom and power. Let it fill you and shine from you and radiate to all who pass by. Anything can be done through the power of love. No person is so insignificant that he is overlooked and the plan is so great that all is accommodated and nothing missed out. You are part of the plan, part of the great divinity, part of the great love. Give succour to the spark within and let it expand till it fills you and shines from you.

You have said all this to me before.

There is nothing original - all is one truth, one love, one life - it is there for the asking. Just hold out your hand and we will clasp it in our own and guide and help and advise you with all the great love at our disposal. Love conquers all.

Thursday 16th November 1995 There are many in spirit who wish to help. We see your small light shining and would draw close to guide you. Do not despair if progress seems slow. You are trying to change habits of your lifetime and this cannot happen overnight. Keep your motives pure, your intentions clear and try to dwell in the Light. Feel the divinity within your heart and allow it to expand and fill you, and 45

see yourself as a radiant being. Visualise yourself in the golden light, visualise yourself whole and healthy and full of love for your fellow travellers and all of humankind. See yourself giving service with an honest humble heart, and the opportunities will come.

The road is not easy, for what which is easy is worth having? Through difficulties, hardships and the way you face them and cope with them, you can improve your spirit and demonstrate your innate goodness. Let not the harsh judgments of others deter you from your path. Remain steadfast and true in the face of adversity and know that the only one to judge you is yourself. We do not judge. We may be disappointed and shake our heads in sorrow if you make an error, but we are always waiting in love until you are able again to receive our guidance and resume your path. We do not judge for, being human, you are frail and you make mistakes - that is the essence of being human. Through mistakes you learn and come one small step closer to the perfection which your soul seeks.

What of individuality?

You are indeed an individual but only a small part of your greater self, or identity. Your personality is who you are now, not who you have been or are meant to be. On earthly death, this personality merges with the whole, bringing with it all that it has learnt and enhancing the whole.

What is meant, then, by group souls?

This is harder to clarify. Group souls are those who have a commonality, a bond between them of great love, and a desire to blend into one whole as their lessons are learnt. This is yet one more step toward perfection and re-uniting with the Great Spirit, or Mind, which is the power of your universe and all universes. It is the Great I AM. 46

Monday 20th November 1995 If it be your will, Great Spirit, then let me hear true.

Try to raise the consciousness to higher vibrations, always reaching higher and higher. It is difficult for us come "down" and, the higher you raise your consciousness, the more truly you will hear. You have only to ask and it shall be given, if the request is made with an honest heart and integrity, and a desire to serve and become purer in spirit. The fog of matter can be penetrated. We see your light and attune ourselves to it, but it is not one-way traffic and you need to help your light to shine brighter. We know you are trying, but nothing can happen in an instant, and patient dedication and sincerity are the attributes necessary. We can give you guidance constantly, and in your heart you know how to go on, how to live true to your knowledge and faith.

It's not easy.

No, it is not easy but we simply ask you to do your best at all times to be true to your knowledge and live according to God's will which, as a part of God, is also your will. Follow your heart, for it can be, and is, inspired. Allow our love to reach you through the darkness and heaviness of your world. Learn to pray in sincerity from your heart centre, sending love where there is hate, light where there is darkness, and hope where there is despair. Try at all times to conquer, or to positively channel, the darker and more faithless aspects of your nature, and to let the light shine forth, radiating to other souls, lifting them, sowing seeds of knowledge and stirring their spirits into awareness. You do not need to talk to them at length, just send the love and light and show by example the benefits your knowledge has brought into your life. And all will be well. Learn to eradicate anxiety and fear for the future.

How? Your path is not easy but it is clear and we will remove stumbling blocks where we may to make the hillside easier to climb. But, in parts, you will find loose shale on which you may slide and fall back a little, but you cannot return to the valley from whence you climbed. There will always be a rock to which you may cling for purchase, rest for a while, and begin again the ascent. You know the rock - it is love. When you reach the top, you will be lifted into the light where you will find others waiting to receive you. Know this.

Does the top of the hillside represent death? What then?

Fear not death, it is but a transformation into another life and, if the life you have led in the physical is good, so it will be in your new sphere. You can make recompense for mistakes made, for mistakes honestly made but harmful to others. Pray for guidance and the way will be shown how, through love, you may begin now to clear these debts and build up credits in your life's ledger. The way is always shown if genuinely sought.

Where do I go from here?

There is, oh, such a long way to go, but you have come a long way, further than you realise and though at times you forget humility and kindness, you are learning - and much can be forgiven if there is a genuine desire to make recompense through service and love.

Banish hatred, resentment and

abhorrent memories from your heart and dwell instead in love, sending love. Remember: to err is human, to forgive divine. You have divinity within, you are part of the Great Divinity. Use this divinity in love and send forgiveness. Remember also: let he who is without sin cast the first stone. If others hurt you, send a prayer of love to them and move on. Do not look back and hold resentment or bitterness in your heart, do not dwell on past 48

injuries. Look to the future and how you may help others through love. Send love to those who hurt you that their spirits may be touched and the seeds of awareness sown, that they too may progress along their right paths. This is the greatest service you can give, the greatest love, and through this you will find forgiveness in your own heart.

Tuesday 21st November 1995 "Before Abraham was I am." This quotation keeps running through my head. What is the meaning of it?

There was no beginning. All life exists in infinity, an endless seeking for perfection.

The I AM is the Great Spirit, the Divinity, the Cosmic

Consciousness, God - call it what you will - but it is the life force without which nothing could exist. It animates matter, literally breathing life into it and, when it is withdrawn, matter collapses and returns from whence it came: dust unto dust. I AM always has been and always will be. It is love, it is perfection, it is the latent divinity within each soul seeking expression, it is love, truth, wisdom, power. It is all things.

What are dreams?

They can be pre-cognitive if we wish to give you a warning. They can be digestive, a food disagreeing late at night. They can be a clearing process of the mind to sort out jumbled impressions gained during the daylight hours. They can be the soul taking flight and meeting with loved ones in spirit, or doing the work of your soul among others. You can learn to recognise them for what they are and understand what has taken place. If you dream of a loved one, you have met with that loved one.

Wednesday 22nd November 1995 How do I know that you hear me and answer me? How do I know it is not my own thoughts?

Cast aside your doubts. Do not fear that we cannot hear you; sometimes it is you that cannot hear us. When in doubt, find the quiet place within and send out a thought for help. When sitting for inspired writing, do not discard anything you think you hear. Write whatever comes into your mind and you will know when reading what has come from spirit and what has come from your own thoughts. Discard doubt, discard fear, discard worries that you cannot hear true.

You do hear, and truth becomes obvious to the

receiver. The higher you climb, the more refined the contact, the greater the truth received.

There are many willing teachers in spirit who wish to pass on what they have learned and are happy when one in your world wishes to learn too. But we can only teach what you are ready to receive. Keep your heart true and your mind will receive the thoughts from our side of life. Do not criticise yourself for inaccuracy - it is all part of your spiritual development, unfoldment. Mistakes can be rectified. Just go within and ensure that you act according to what is in your heart, in accordance with your conscience. You will know what is right. When you act in a manner unbecoming, forgive yourself, send a prayer for guidance and move on. Do not look back in regret. It is right to regret a mistaken action, but not to dwell upon it. This impedes progress. Move on.

Thursday 23rd November 1995 I make so many mistakes. I don't think I can ever come close to being perfect in anything.

Try not to dwell upon your imperfections but concentrate upon your perfections, your achievements, your growing mastery. See not your weaknesses but your strengths, and build upon them step by step. We do not say be vainglorious; be glad that you are achieving and growing toward mastery, but realise that it is the greater self which is guiding you and be humble that this help is reaching you. Be proud of achievements but not immodest.

Now, we say, there is much more to do and to learn but it can be done if the desire is there to do it. It is not enough to remain in isolation, you need to go out into your world and give service. There is a place for you to be, it is waiting for you and you can, and will, find it where you will be welcomed and will find again a wholeness in your life, a release from self-recriminations, and the opportunity again to be of service. In this you will find fulfilment and joy, and your self-mastery will move forward.

Do not allow stasis, some

consolidation of truths learned is needed, but this will be brought about by consorting with like-minded individuals where you will feel valued and appreciated for your growing warmth and love of service. Do not be afraid of anything for we are with you at all times, giving our love and watching over you, guiding you and passing on our wisdom learned from lives longer than your own has been. The Great Ones who have gone before us have given wonderful teachings to the earth - read them, absorb their truths into your being and make them part of your personal creed and way of life. It is not for us to impart great teachings to you because you have access to them already, and you are not yet ready to go beyond those that you have already available.

When will I go beyond them?

Do not ask what will be. What will be, will be, and in the fullness of time you will know what is - what will be is always to come, not to be awaited but to be grown into and accepted gladly. What will be is also dependent upon your own growth and development. Unlike some mediums in your world who say such as "you will hear true", we can only say that you have it within your abilities and gift to hear true - whether you do or not is up to you. We can only give what you can receive. We can force nothing upon you - but are willing to give whatever you can receive. Mastery is not easily learned - you need perseverance, dedication, determination to be the best you can be, willingness to learn and be guided, attunement to the highest possible levels, sincerity and, most important of all, love. For without love there is no purpose, just selfseeking, psychic rather than spiritual growth.

Tuesday 28th November 1995 My son is driving me crazy, so many tantrums. And always being horrid to the dog. What can I do?

Be calm. Do not fret. Your son needs much love and guidance but hope is not lost. He can be guided into gentler ways. Ever give him love, respond with love not anger. Even when he is cruel, respond with love. He needs to be shown a better way of self-expression. Continue to pray for help. His guide is with him and tries to assist, but he is not yet aware of guidance from spirit. Speak to him of love - love for all living things. Do not treat anger with anger, violence with violence. Set an example of love and gentleness. We know this is hard for you as you are still learning the lesson yourself. How much better to learn while you teach. Speak to him of this. Ask his help in 52

teaching you gentle loving ways and offer your help to teach him. Work together and both will reach success. Show him how to love the dog. Keep working with your husband and persuade him to a course of gentleness; stop slapping, hands were made for caressing not for inflicting pain or indignities. You all need to work together to give love to each other. There should be no room for anger or violence. Children learn from the example set them, so change the example - from all people. Do not allow others around the boy to set a wrong example. Make time for the boy - time soon passes and they are grown. Enjoy your time together, other things can wait. The boy is more important than any other consideration.

And now to other matters. Your prayer has been heard. You ask, teach me to serve, and you will be taught; show me the way, and you will be shown. Make yourself available for lessons and they will be given. But it takes effort. For each effort you make, we give tenfold. There are many around you wishing to help. Accept their love and guidance, and opportunities will come as you are ready for them. You feel that nothing is happening, but preparations are underway and the guidance you need is being given. Learn to think before acting, be less impulsive, and you will better control angry reactions. You will make mistakes but, if your intentions are pure, the mistakes can be overlooked - just learn from your mistakes and try not to repeat them.

There is so much in your life causing you distress - your temperament, your son, your husband's closed mind, your sister's defection, your daughter's desertion, and whether you are good enough to bring another child into your home. Fear not. Do not worry. Continue evolving your spirit, doing your best, sending love, trying, trying, trying. Keep on keeping on. Put worries from your mind. Face your troubles with fortitude and love, and you will overcome all.

You cannot expect all your dear ones to return to you just because you wish it. They must follow their own paths and behave according to their own hearts. So do not worry about them, feel no anxiety, just send them love and light.

Wednesday 29th November 1995 I am trying so hard to do all you advise. What more can I do?

All that which is needed, not necessarily wanted, shall be provided. In order to serve, you need a loving heart, a generous giving nature and dedication to helping fellow travellers in your world. You have the basics but need to build upon them. Continue your prayer and meditation in order that we may reach you and teach you, imparting our wisdom learned through aeons to guide you in your quest to serve.

You have done well to create the love game within your family since last we talked. All need to adhere to the rules at all times and your son will learn from it, as will the parents. Love can only grow, together with gentleness and kindness, if the rules of your game are followed at all times. It is good to encourage the child to feel that he is helping you too. It gives him a sense of self-worth and helps him to feel that he is a valued member of your family. Encourage him in how properly to touch the animals. Do not criticise hurt, but show him the right way. This is a positive forward step. And it will help you to appreciate the animals more too.

You know I'm vegetarian but I find it hard and miss eating meat. What do you think about this?

You have been thinking of Silver Birch's words, seeking excuses for the eating of meat. Look into your deepest heart to find the answer and then act accordingly. A lesson once learned should not be forgotten for this cheapens the teacher and devalues life's journey, blocking soul evolvement. A mistake made in knowledge costs the soul far more dearly than one made in ignorance.

Oh, my dear, there are so many lessons, so much to be learned and it is not easy, for then what would it be worth? You may struggle to learn and to practice what you learn, it may seem so hard at times that you want to give up - how much easier to go through life accepting all that which happens to you and not learning, how much easier not to try to improve yourself and unfold your spirit - the choice is yours, but you know what you must do, for you have received the guidance as asked, lessons as requested, and your soul prompts you to act upon them. The matter of your body, the pre-learned patterns of your brain, resist change. But your soul cries out for growth and you must answer the call. You cannot do otherwise for, once a soul is heard calling, the response must be given or unhappiness ensues. You have already learned this. You must follow the dictates of your heart, the needs of your spirit, in order to find fulfilment and the joy and solace your soul needs as it expands and unfolds.

Thursday 30th November 1995 I loathe the materialism of Christmas, already apparent everywhere I go. What do you think of this?

Peace on earth, goodwill to men. This is the theme of Christmas. It is a time of retrenchment, of withdrawal into the inner sanctum, to consolidate all truths acquired since the last season, to meditate upon them and to expand into new 55

soul birth, soul growth, giving new expression of the divinity within. It is a time when all people should unite in peace, harmony, goodwill, love; when new relationships should be forged, building on the foundations of old. A time for self-examination that the worst in us may be discarded and the best given free rein to grow and mature, another step in the evolution of the spirit. It is right that Christmastide should be represented by the birth of a child - a Christ-child - the Christ-light dawning within. But, of course, it is nothing whatever to do with the birth of a God-man or Jesus the Nazarene. Christmas should be regarded as a festival of spirit, of rejoicing that a time of peace is upon all, that all may experience rebirth and regeneration.

Thursday 7th December 1995 Help me, please.

We know your heart is angry at yet more false accusations but we are here to help and uplift you, to enable you - in your earth words - to rise above it. We have said truly that we will do all within our power to help, for you have offered to serve and the confusion and unhappiness which clouds your mind must be removed in order that you may provide a sound instrument.

Seek not to interfere with or try to bend natural law. Do as you would be done by, at all times. Where there is no hope of receiving love and understanding, send it instead, that the recipient's soul may be touched, that a seed of understanding may be planted.

Anger is a natural reaction and is

understandable but, for the sake of your own soul-growth, you must convert that anger to love. Accept it when there is a failure in the meeting of minds and hearts, but do not permit hostility.

Meet hostility with love and

gracefulness. You have stated your case, now send love to help the recipient 56

to understand that case and to act in the way which accords with her innermost heart and mind. If hostility and anger are returned to you, meet them with shining love. Let anger be gone. Simply restate your case and no more, concluding with the usual message of love. It is all you can do. You cannot change what is in another's heart if they do not wish it changed, but the love you send may bring them awareness of an alternative pathway or behaviour. Be sure that you do not warrant the anger; if not, make no apology for yourself, but keep your heart and mind pure and concentrated upon love. We here in spirit will do what we can to ameliorate, to bring two hearts to a simple understanding. We cannot say if it will be in a bonding or a separation, but we will assist an understanding to be reached, in order that no further damage is done to either individual.

Anger distorts the mind, diverts from reason, and closes the heart to learning another point of view. Be ready always to listen to an alternative viewpoint but, if you hear nothing which appeals to your reason, then remain steadfast in your own knowledge and belief. But do not just hear another's words, listen and pay heed to them. Nothing is resolved in anger or hostility. The other person's opinions are as real to them as yours are to you, even if you believe they are misguided, even if in fact they are misguided, they are the product of that individual's level of evolvement. You cannot change that opinion except by applying reason. If that reason is rejected, then the other person is not yet at a stage where he is ready to evolve further. We know you are committed to the knowledge you have gained thus far, and this is right, but do not thrust it at others or you will be instrumental in closing their minds further. We know it is frustrating for you when others do not listen - this happens to us many, many times! - but anger will not force anybody to listen. It just raises barriers. Do not allow frustration to become anger, allow it instead to convert to a loving

sympathy that the other person does not have the knowledge, and the joy which it brings, that you are fortunate to have.

Tuesday 12th December 1995 What happens during sleep? Do we work within the spirit realms?

There is a time for all things under the sun: a time to know and a time not to know; a time to learn and a time to consolidate learning. Travelling in our realms is permitted during sleep to any soul which has the desire to do so. You may meet loved ones - family of blood or family of like-mindedness and, according to the development of the individual, you may work, rest or stay earthbound. You sometimes work, but mostly you visit with those you love. You spend much time with "Daddy" and your grandmother, but your grandmother is closer to you in vibration and is able to do more work with you, to guide and teach you.

Sometimes, also, you see your son and that he is growing greatly in wisdom and begins to feel the need to be reborn. You cannot hold him back, but will never be separated from him for his greater self will remain available even after his birth into a new consciousness.

What is my work?

The work on which you concentrate is communication. This is your area of expertise, one you need to develop further in the earth-life for oft times your mouth says words differently from the mind's intention, and other times says words of the brain rather than of the mind. In order to become a good communicator, you must needs conquer emotionalism and also the frustration in making yourself understood which leads to anger.

(My young son enters the room) Before us now stands a special soul, one which needs great care and nurturing. He has a highly developed self with which, at present, he is not in contact and, with incorrect handling, the lower self may lose for the span of earth life the contact with the higher self. Teach him love, love, love.

Wednesday 13th December 1995 Travel wisely along the pathway of this earthly existence, repudiating all that you feel to be wrong, accepting all that you feel to be right. Remember, if it is not good it cannot be right. Anger, injustice, intolerance, hatred, enmity these things can never be right. It is natural at times to feel one or more of these emotions, but thought is real. These thoughts create a channel for, as you call it, evil to flow into the world. When bad thoughts are felt, convert them. Think of something beautiful, sing a loving song, send out a thought of love. Do not allow evil thoughts lodgment in your emotions, your mind, or your heart.

Can you tell me about how soul groups function?

It is a very ordered, structured community in which we have our existence. We are not forced by outside influences to do anything. The desire comes from within ourselves as we progress, evolve, and understand more of natural law and of that to which we are progressing. The desire to work in an ordered fashion comes from within. Like attracts like, so a group of likeminded spirits forms to do the work in unison, giving more power of thought to the

work

and

therefore

greater

likelihood

of

a

more

positive

outcome. Discarnate and incarnate beings form the group, and the incarnate are never cast adrift but continue to function within the group, learning lessons 59

in the earth sphere, and working during sleep in our sphere, consolidating knowledge and adding it to the pool of knowledge of the group. Although the group is of like-minded souls of similar vibration, we are given much help and counsel by wiser beings of higher levels, they who help to stabilise what we create, add greatness to our thoughts, supply power for difficult tasks, love, love, love and more which you cannot yet understand.

What of my husband?

He is a part of your group. At present, he is blind and deaf to spirit and his barriers are dense, but not impenetrable. Keep working gently on those defences and barriers with love, persistence, sharing your knowledge, letting it trickle like droplets of water against the proverbial stone. To mix metaphors - some of it will rub off and leave its mark and his spirit will gain from it. Do not despair of separation from him upon entering our world for, if love is true, it cannot be sundered.

CHAPTER SIX

The communications received in 1996 prove, to those many who doubt it, that spirit really do give personal advice and guidance. I felt I was making a great deal of progress, learning and understanding many new ideas and, again, the communications reflect this.

Thursday 4th January 1996 Peace be with you. You have been away for a while due to the demands of your earth life but have stayed true in your heart. Work has been done during sleep, good work, which is its own reward. Your concern for young people is noted and being developed, and it is through the innocence of youth that the greatest love may be experienced and witnessed.

Those who give

themselves in love with no thought for themselves are the greatest souls of all, and any who may be chosen to work with them have a great honour done them. You are not wrong in your own conclusions in this matter.

Thank you. As we commence this new year, do you have any advice for me?

It would be wise for you to narrow down the areas of earthly tension which affect you and slow your progress, but be not uncharitable. Remember always to broaden your own horizons of thought, word and deed. Keep a watch on unpleasant thoughts and always send a good thought after a bad one has, intentionally or unintentionally, marked the atmosphere. Your progress will continue. Keep moving steadfastly onward, learning to spread your wings until they catch the moving vibrations and you soar upward into higher realms of being. Your way ahead is cleared, it is only for you to make decisions on how far you wish to go; you can soar indefinitely, it is only the limitations you place on yourself which halt or slow you.

There are many gathering around you, at one with you, seeking to help you in your desire to serve. Have faith and trust in us, we will not fail you. We need every instrument we can muster in the great work to bring mankind into rightmindedness, and an offer of service genuinely made is never refused, overlooked or ignored. We seek only to serve our Master and we use all channels offered, whether for healing or communication or both.

Permit your spiritual hearing further to unfold and open wider your spiritual eyes and you will see and hear Truth. Guidance is always offered, although we cannot enforce any action or way of life. If you honestly wish to receive, it will be given and you have free will to accept or reject. Just learn to receive. We are helped in our work by the Great Ones from whom we receive our guidance and help, and which we pass on to you. Life is like a butterfly passing from caterpillar to cocoon to beautiful butterfly through stages. You are knocking at the confining cocoon wishing for it to open so that you may emerge as a beautiful butterfly and soar upward into ethereal truths, dipping earthward to nudge the caterpillars toward a similar journey. You have a great desire to show others the truth of your knowledge and the spiritual way to live, right things for which to strive. This is the communicator element of your character. This element needs further refinement, but it will come. Keep working on it - softly, gently - do not bang tables, as you are fond of saying. Force, coercion, achieve nothing, nor does moral or emotional blackmail. A good example set in simplicity and love will achieve more than any banging of tables and trumpeting aloud. Speak naturally of things you know to be natural and true, do not hammer home your point. A gentle observation has far more power to seep into another's soul and germinate seeds than does a hammer which will crush them. What is true and right and good speaks for itself and does not need a loud-hailer. Let love continue to grow in your heart and it will be reflected in all you do, say and think, and will give greater proof than forcefulness.

Concentrate on developing a right body in a right mind - yes, this is correct and the physical problems you have will be alleviated. The right mind is of greater import than the right body. The body is needed inasmuch as it is the vehicle of the mind, so it is preferable to have a healthy body which does not

distract the mind, but it is not essential. A healthy mind can create a healthy body. The converse is not true.

We have much to teach you, and you have much to learn.

Sunday 7th January 1996 (This communication was sought after The President of Hayes Church had offered me a booking to conduct a service in the Church in a couple of week's time. I was quite nervous at the thought, as it had been some years since I had done so, while bringing up my son. While attending the service on that evening at Hayes Church, the medium had given me a message which referred to my pathway which would bring great privilege. The following message also makes reference to this.)

Be not afraid to commit yourself to demonstrating spirit communication. It is meant to be. You have learned much since you last stood upon the dais and have learned to trust your communicators. You have said often the quotation "when the pupil is ready, the master appears". We know the pupil to be ready. It is time to take up the cross (this word will do) and go once again to work in this manner, to serve, to spread truth and light. You fear the address do not. We do not wish to see you mouth platitudes. Open your mind to us and we will supply the wisdom - teachings for those who would listen. There will always be at least one soul present with heart open, one mind ready to receive. That is sufficient. We know you are ready to do the work - so do you. If you had not been ready, you would have felt such joy when given the opportunity to demonstrate in your Church.

There is a fork in your pathway ahead. You must think carefully what is right for you, what feels right for you. Either of the choices will be good, nothing to fear, but one will suit your personality better and the choice is yours to make of your free will.

It is the spiritual pathway to which we refer.

Never

fear. Sufficient unto the day. Keep your mind lifted, your eyes raised heavenward, your heart light, and all will be well. Suffering may come but you now know that it is for the refinement of your soul and that nothing is too hard for you to bear. Always keep on keeping on, holding love in your heart, thinking and transmitting positive thoughts, helping others wherever you can and giving, giving, giving of yourself with no thought of receiving back, and your spiritual wealth will increase manifold and the closer you will grow toward the ultimate goal, the finer will be your ability to perceive and pass on what you perceive, as appropriate.

You have been chosen to perform a very special service, the details of which we cannot yet reveal, but enough to say that you will be instrumental in saving souls and helping them to a state of grace, into the light out of their darkness of hell of their own making. You can, and will, bring other souls to their spiritual awareness, and can lead, advise and direct them toward their pathway. But always listen for guidance so that you may direct other souls truly and in love. Do not over-reach yourself. We are bringing powerful forces to bear in your life, many gather to pool their wisdom and to provide power for your work. This is the privilege of which the medium spoke.

You have great psychic ability, this was demonstrated in previous years, but the need was great to develop in spirituality and to soften the harder edges of your personality. This has happened for you by the joy of loving rather than through suffering. Earlier suffering had awakened your soul but had caused the hardening. Now you are beginning to be the channel we have been working toward creating: psychic gifts needed to communicate, spirituality for 64

the teaching of wisdom and of the great gifts of spirit, and softness of character and an understanding heart created by at last knowing true earthly love. This earthly love has transformed you into a being who is capable of transmitting some of the love of spirit, the love which is rained down constantly from our world to yours. Before you knew this love, how could you have transmitted it? A telephone system which has no central transmitter cannot pass a message from one instrument to another.

Do not permit the scepticism of others to interfere with your joy, go forward with this great gladness in your heart and radiate it to others that they too may feel the benefit of spiritual love. Why me, we hear you say, why me? Why not you? The different facets of your soul have lived many lives, and the knowledge obtained through these lives is stored in your higher self/mind. In these lives, the facets have suffered and gained insight which can be used to help others who are suffering. You are special. Do not take this to mean extraordinary: all people are special and have their own gifts of spirit. Your speciality is that you have been able in this life to advance your spiritual self and to maintain contact with the higher self which drives and directs you and gives you the desire to serve and pass on that which you have learned and know to be true. Nothing happens which is accidental and you have been developing yourself for this purpose. You have not forgotten the lessons which you desired to learn from your life, and you are setting about learning them and carrying out the duties you promised, before incarnation, to perform. These duties are the common duties of the Group Soul, all of whom work with you and through you; each in their own way bringing to the Group their own speciality, all melding and blending into one harmonious functioning unit. We of the Group Soul have call upon greater souls who have existed longer and have learned more, who are on an harmonic vibration and work with our Group to serve through our chosen field.

This is the special purpose for which you strive and for which you have led this particular life. This is your soul work. Fear not, but go out into your dark world, bringing light. This is your work, so go and do it.

Tuesday 8th January 1996 Gold is found in the strangest places. Take your spade and dig and you will find gold. The gold of spirit lies deep within all people, some so far buried that it is almost impossible to find because it is locked within the solid bedrock of misconceived ideology or philosophy. But, as in the layers of the earth's crust, there are faults and fissures in this bedrock which may be cracked wide open and the gold found within. The question is knowing how to locate each fault or weakness in each individual's personal creed, in order to shatter the rock of misconception to reach, extract and purify the gold. Do not beat at it as with a pneumatic drill. Drop on to it words of wisdom, as rain falling into fissures and widening them to find the treasure within. Use the earth-shattering drill and you risk scattering the treasure. Drip as the rain, and you will widen the fissure until the gold is revealed in all its glory, ready to be purified and refined in the crucible of life.

There are some whom your words will not reach. They are to be pitied, not in a scathing manner, but with sympathy and love, and the hope that one day soon words from another source may reach them and sow the seeds of awareness, the roots of which will grow into the fissures and widen them. There are some who are so hardened within that no acts of love or charity or words of love or kindness will dent their armour. It is best to move on when people of this type are encountered, but retain thoughts of them in your prayers and continue to send out love.

Wednesday 17th January 1996 May I ask a question about my material life?

We answer all questions.

We made a mistake buying this house which is too small, and everything in it is growing shabby and breaking down. Will this continue?

Take heart, do not despair, all you need will be provided for you. We have heard your thoughts on this matter, how you wish to improve your dwelling but the money is not available at this time to do so. Do not fret. Enough will be provided to do enough. Queens live in palaces, paupers in hovels - you live between. The means will be found to make things good and to improve what is too shabby, but do not expect a fortune to land in your lap. You will have all you need, if not all which you desire. Sometimes that which you desire would not be good for you.

God grant you serenity that you might find acceptance and peace. Do not fret over things you cannot change. Send out thoughts of love and move on. Do not worry about what might have been, or how you could have done things differently. The past is unalterable, as you know, and you must continue moving forward. It is alright to regret sincerely any past mistakes, but it is not right to berate yourself. Forgive yourself and go on, resolved to do better in the future, and asking for opportunities to prove that you have learned from the past.

Monday 22nd January 1996 We do not see or know everything. We only know, as you do, that which we are ready to know, that which pertains to the sphere of existence which we inhabit. However, we have progressed further than you have and are in a position to see a little more clearly. Thus, we can advise you, and you may reject or accept that advice as you see fit. We know that all comes in time, not all which is desired, but all which is earned. We do not punish, we only reward, although it is not that we are judgmental and say "you deserve" or "you have earned". Rather, your soul is in a state where it has evolved further and is ready to receive new gifts of knowledge. When you are ready for more teaching we are happy to give it, when you have learned better communication skills we are happy to communicate at a higher level.

Be pleased when you know you have advanced, but do not become selfcongratulatory - this will impede further progress. Neither be happy to say "I have achieved all I desired". Always look for more, desire greater and work harder, and you will reap the rewards. We see your light shining and draw near. The brighter and stronger it shines, the brighter souls you will draw to you as they may communicate with you on the same harmonic vibration, in increased awareness of being, a greater understanding, blending of spirit, and bonding of minds. Never be afraid that we will fail you; we say again, for every effort you make, we make tenfold.

We are delighted to have instruments we can use, forming a bridge or link of communication between your world and ours. We do not reject offered instruments. We use them with pleasure and do not limit them. They only limit themselves. If you cannot hear, it is not that we are not speaking, rather that you are deaf to us , blocking our communication through fear, panic, overeagerness - any type of emotionalism will interfere with your reception. need to be properly tuned to our frequency in order to pick up the transmission, much like a radio or television. So, this means you must place your trust in us. Know that we will answer when you call. Know that we will speak when you listen. Know that we will advise you when you need guidance. Know that we will help heal you when you are sick. Know this, and it will be. Do not doubt, or negative vibrations will be sent out which will block our efforts to reach you, then you will doubt more, and soon it will be that we cannot reach you at all. As you can build a descending staircase, so you may build one which ascends, and there is no limit to how high you may build it. You have all the tools and materials at your disposal. You have simply to make use of them.

Spirit told me that this was to be their last written message for the time being, and I continued learning through serving the Churches, through giving private readings, through meditation and prayer, and through listening to the inner self. Toward the end of the year, I was asked to run a development circle and, once again, fear and doubt clogged my mind which made it difficult to understand the guidance coming from spirit. The writing below was given after I had received a message from a medium in Church which had confused me further, so I resorted once again to asking spirit to answer me in writing.

Thursday 21st November 1996 This is the way forward, through continued prayer and meditation, trying at all times to seek and understand your guidance, and then acting upon it. When in doubt, ask and ask again. Look for life's "coincidences" and read from them the messages and directives contained therein. Do not bow your head and talk of "blockages". These blockages you create yourself. Through continued 69

seeking for inspiration, you will always understand what comes next, the right path to follow and, if you are uncertain, confirmation will always be given. You simply have to learn to understand, to interpret, the message given.

The medium told you that you dig with a large shovel for Truth, the shovel so large that it can hold much knowledge, but that you have lost the handle. It is not lost, you have merely misplaced it by becoming fogged in uncertainty, indecision and lack of self-confidence. Trust in the spirit beings who seek you out. If a name is heard, use it. It matters not if it is an incorrect name, we know whom you mean and the right spirit answers. The handle for your shovel is in meditation, seeking for self-knowledge. You dig up much information on your shovel but need the handle to convert the knowledge to wisdom. Or, the key to open the door, to use but a different metaphor.

When you are unsure of the way forward, do not become despondent. This severs your connection to the Source. Instead, seek the Source more often. Ask for help and guidance - it will be given. You will find that opportunities present themselves and, if you feel joy and upliftment at the prospect, then accept the opportunity. If a mistaken choice is made, another opportunity will be presented to correct it.

The path planned is straight but, if you could see it from above, you would see it has many loops and diversions. This is where you have lost your way, but each time have returned. We do not expect to see your path in the future being kept straight; it will continue to have loops and diversions where you per mischance stray. You are human and will continue making mistakes. But our earnest hope is that you will learn from them and that the loops and diversions will become fewer and shorter as you progress further along the path.

You have chosen well. Try the new opportunity presented. You know that if it feels right it is right. If you feel a comfortable fit, then wear the shoe to move further along the path. The better shod you are, the easier to walk along the path. Go now and meditate upon this, and you will be shown how to conduct your new enterprise.

Needless to say, after this message, I began a development circle and have continued to conduct it ever since - in fact, for the last four years I have run two weekly circles. The sitters come and go, but the circles continue, and I have been privileged to have been sent some beautiful souls who are themselves now working hard for spirit.

clairaudience. When the students are practicing, my inspirers still come through to me. The following are some of the writings which I have received in these circumstances, which are for sharing with the students.

Thursday 28th November 1996 There are many in spirit who would pass on their messages of love and guidance. Not all, indeed not many, are able to reach those with whom they seek contact.

There are about us gathered a shining throng of great spirits, highly evolved, who use us as channels to reach our channels on the earth in order to pass on their teachings. There have been some such well-known to the earth. Such of these are Silver Birch, White Eagle, Imperator - but names matter little, it is the value of their teachings by which they are known. Some of these highly evolved teachers may have been unknown when upon your earth, having lived humble lives. Your idea on earth of what constitutes grandeur is not our measurement. We measure grandeur by the soul's worth; not the wealth of riches, but the wealth of spirit. Our diamonds are gleaming words of wisdom; our rubies are the vibrations of true and steadfast love; our emeralds are the selfless giving of healing prayers; our sapphires are truth and faith; our pearls are wisdom beyond price. Our silver is the great light of spiritual growth and our gold is the great light of spirituality, selfless giving, the wisdom, knowledge and power gained through the silver of spiritual growth.

We regard your material treasures as the worthless dross of unfulfilled spiritual truth. What use is money in the spirit realms? The coins we use are love and honesty, willingness to help others, compassion. Our gold is not hidden in worthless bedrock or locked in vaults, as is yours, but is revealed to all who have eyes to see. When the material body is discarded, at death from your life into this, your stored treasures are revealed. Would you reveal an array of spiritual gems - the beautiful rays of light of emerald, ruby, sapphire, and the clarity, the pure white light of the diamond, the gold and silver of spiritual worth? Or would you see these shining from the souls around you and have to hide away your own darkness in shame?

Never be content to do tomorrow what can be done today. Do not postpone learning. Take a new step each day to develop your soul, to further your knowledge and understanding and to give of yourself in selflessness, seeking to bring comfort where there is loss, harmony where there is discord, and 72

health where there is illness. Each sacrifice made for others brings also rewards for self - but only if the motive for giving is for the benefit of another and not for selfish gain. Is it not a paradox that, in thinking not of oneself when giving to others, the self finds benefit? This is natural law. It is not possible to give without receiving. By passing on one's energy, more is drawn in. In giving love, more love is received. To give without receiving would leave a vacuum in one's self, and this cannot be. So, the more you give, the more you receive. But, in giving for selfish reasons, you retain a part of that which is given, and fill yourself with egotism, and thus do not receive the full benefit which you would have received from selfless giving. To treat others harshly is to treat yourself harshly.

To treat others kindly is to treat yourself

kindly. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall truly see God.

Thursday 5th December 1996 Always believe in the power of love to accomplish all which needs to be done. The entire universe is enfolded in the power of love which fills it and links all contained therein into one harmonious whole. Feel yourselves to be a part of this harmonious vibration, feel it within and without. Do not permit disharmony to jar you and alter your vibrations, so that this feeling of connection with the universe is lost. This is what is meant by Living in the Light. But this encompasses so much: the Light of Knowledge instead of the cursed darkness of ignorance; the Light of Love as opposed to the darkness of fear; the Light of Wisdom, that knowledge is used in kindness for the benefit of others, not self; the Light of Harmony, that one may feel the peace, the silence, the sound of the universe and feel at one with all therein.

We have heard reference made to the barking of dogs of war. Yet how wrong is this, for dogs do not make war. It is the discord of man, his falling from the Light into darkness, disconnecting from the Source, which creates war. Be still, and be at peace. Be silent, and be at one. Live in the Light.

Do not seek for answers from without. All knowledge is attainable by going within to seek for answers. We love and guide you when at times you are unable to make the connection to the Divine Source. But, like yours, our knowledge and wisdom are limited. All knowledge and wisdom is contained within the Divine Source, and you have only to think of the question while connected to the Source and the answer will be revealed in the silent stillness of your heart. Let wisdom dawn as the Light into the darkness of the seeking mind, let it expand in the beauty of a loving heart. All wisdom, all love, all power are available to all who seek with an honest and loving heart who can learn to seek within, to connect with the Source.

Use this knowledge with wisdom and discretion. Seek not to hold sway over other people, to gain ascendance over them through the power available to you from the Source, by thinking yourself knowledgeable and holding it like the Sword of Damocles over the heads of the ignorant. Your sword of knowledge is of tempered steel and must be wielded in love, tolerance and a genuine desire to be of service to others that they may also come to an understanding of the Divine Source, the Supreme Mind, which contains all wisdom, love and power.

Go, then, gently into the world among people. Shine benignly your light on to their faces, to light their way and lead their footsteps surely to the pathway of Infinite Love. Do not force, blandish, coerce, for this breeds hatred and fear through which love dies and is extinguished in your own heart as well as those whom you have sought to coerce.

Be then gentle, a dove, who delicately caresses and fans the flame with her feathers, rather than beating her wings into faces, putting fear into hearts and extinguishing the flame. Be a conductor for the power of spirit.

Thursday 16th January 1997 A prayer for Development Circle: Let us join our thoughts together for strength and harmony. Let us feel the power sweeping though us, and let us draw strength, love and balance therefrom. Let us all unite in love and the desire to serve, to grow in spirituality. Let us seek to discover truth and understanding and the grace which comes therefrom. Let us work towards achieving a state of grave, developing the inner self and linking with the higher self and with those who seek to guide and uplift us. Let us know only truth. Let all which is not truth wash away. We see ourselves shining as a golden light as we strive towards perfection. Amen Daddy. It is some time since I have been with you in this way, but now is the time to speak with you again. I am pleased and proud that you are working to help others achieve their potential and are not concentrating on yourself only. I hope I will be allowed to involve myself in your enterprise. I feel the welcome in your heart and thank you for it. Do not feel concern or troubled by what will be or how to do. Just go forward, living one day at a time, and each day trying to do what is right. In this way, you will not shore up trouble for yourself. Do not think of next week, next month or next year. Think only of today, living in the minute, each minute being precious and used to its best advantage. In this way, you do not tax the brain with trivia, but leave it open to 75

guidance. You will have more energy and a closer contact with the world of spirit.

Live consciously centred in the Light. Life becomes more meaningful, more of an adventure, more interesting and exciting. Give free rein to the love and tenderness within, giving of yourself to others for their comfort and happiness.

See each worry merely as a speck, a dust mote, floating in the air but seek not to attach yourself to it, nor it to you. Let it float free, with positivity sent after it, that it may be contained and attach itself to no-one else. A thought sent into the ether remains in the ether, and cannot be destroyed, until it attaches to someone and is used. So try to send all thoughts out as positive forms and, if a negative thought is sent out, send after it a positive one to contain it and prevent it attaching itself to someone else and negatively affecting them. This is part of your personal responsibility. You have done well today, be proud but not immodest. You will see me again in your sleep. God bless you.

Most of all, be open to your own innate goodness, charm, grace, beauty and perfection. Be open to loving yourself. Be open to the Universal Energy of Love, that it may flow to you and through you and from you. 14th November 2002 My heart is your heart, my mind is your mind, my soul is your soul, my Love is All. Take this communication and let it be spoken into beauty, love and compassion for All That Is. Take this beauty, love and compassion and let it 77

become part of you let, let it be your life. See only beauty, feel only love, live only with compassion. Experience then ceases to be "good" or "bad" , but becomes only experience. Live in love, beauty and compassion and there ceases to be anger or disease, there is only acceptance and harmony, and perfect health follows. See in others only the love, beauty and compassion that is within yourself, do not inflict on them any of the lesser values, but see only the best in them that is in yourself. Thus, you live in peace, the need for tolerance disappears, and only harmony reigns between you and others. You are part of the Cosmic Consciousness. If you eradicate war in your own consciousness, you eradicate it in others. If you live in beauty, love and compassion, then you create only beauty, love and compassion in others. Let your life be a prayer - that is, that all you do, say and think comes only from the heart, as does prayer. Let your life be your gift, not your burden. Say I AM Love, I AM Beauty, I AM Compassion. Connect with I AM, become I AM, live I AM. And, as you would forgive others, forgive yourself also. As you would forgive yourself, forgive others also. Life is for giving. Love is forgiving. So let it be.

21st November 2002 Oh, our dearest hearts, if we could only find the words to express the greatness of love, the light, the joy of life in the spirit realms - the words would sear the paper and burn into your hearts. If you could see yourselves as we see you, you would never again be fearful, nor limit yourselves through doubt. If you could see that you are but a reflection of the beauty and grace in which we dwell in our realms, you would understand that there is nothing which you cannot do. If we could only express these wonders in ways which you would understand, there would be no more sorrowing. There would be 78

only glorification and rejoicing, and exultation, as you express yourselves as Beings of Light.

Can you imagine that? Just imagine that! A world with no pain or sorrow, no violence or corruption, no greed or hunger - only Beings of Light expressing themselves as Light, as love, as peace, as joy, as harmony! What a world it would be. That is our world - but it is your world too. As it exists in your thoughts, so it must exist in reality. Set yourselves free. Express yourselves as Love and Light, and you set the world free. Be free, spirit, be free.

28th November 2002: On Mediumship Our blessings to you. We wish to speak to you about your good selves.

About being. We wish for you to understand yourselves, that you may begin to live as Who You Are, to think and learn about Who You Really Are. You see yourselves as finite beings, constantly placing limits and boundaries upon yourselves, and you live in a limited awareness of Who You Are. You see yourselves as “simply” the physical being and do not understand your greatness of soul and that your soul, your great soul, is Who You Really Are. You think in terms of “I am only human” and limit yourself to what your understanding of “human” is.

But you are not only human – you are a part of

the Great God, the Creator of All Life, you are a part of His Being. As He Who Is All is a creator, you too must therefore be a creator. And you create your own life.

It is not enough to “want”. If you want, then your creative soul responds accordingly and keeps you in that state of wanting. You need to be. whatever you want, be it. This is the only way.

So

Do not say “I want to become a great medium”. For your soul will respond by keeping you in a state of wanting to become a great medium, and thus great mediumship is a state which will never be achieved. Be a great medium. Live as if you are already a great medium, and in being a great medium, you indeed become a great medium. If you say “I want to be happy”, you will remain in a state of wanting to be happy, and will never achieve happiness.

Live your life being happy, saying “I am happy”, and happiness will be achieved.

No matter what may befall you, if you live being happy, then

through whatever you may perceive as hardship, you will still be happy.

But remember, as the Great Creator expresses it/him/herself through you, you too are a great creator. Ills, injuries and hardships do not “befall” you; you create them. Thought is father of the act. Whatever your mind-set is about life, the way you perceive Life, the Universe and Everything, is the way it will manifest in your life. If you perceive the world as a dangerous and unfriendly place, then you create in your life dangerous and unfriendly situations. If you perceive All as happy, pleasant, friendly, then you create in your life happy, pleasant, friendly situations.

Examine your deepest heart to discover what attitudes and beliefs you carry about humanity, your environment, the world … then see how these beliefs and attitudes have manifested in your life. In this way you can change your Mind, you can change your way of thinking, by understanding that you have created your life according to what you believe.

This is why all people

experience life differently – they experience life according to their attitudes and beliefs, which have created the life they are experiencing.

So, if you want to be happy, live as if you are happy. Experience being happy, expect happiness, believe you deserve happiness, then you will create happiness - and also the ability to be happy no matter what you are 80

experiencing in your life, in the understanding that you have created it as a soul experience through your thoughts.

If you wish to be a great medium, then live your life being a great medium, knowing that you have the answers to all life’s questions, knowing that you are able to help any other soul who cries out to you, knowing that you have the ability to channel thoughts from one soul to another. Know you are a great medium, be a great medium, manifest great mediumship in your life.

This is true of all things. Be the great soul you are. Know that, as part of the God soul, you have all the same qualities as God. Indeed, you are God, God is you, All is One. Therefore you can be whatever you desire to be, create whatever you desire to create, in the understanding that you too are a Great Creator, you are perfect, you are wonderful.

If you believe in the great

goodness of God, you must believe in the great goodness of yourself. It is indivisible.

Life is for giving. Life is forgiving. Life is not for getting. Life is not forgetting.

Life is for remembering Who You Really Are. That is All.

Ones, we greet you with love from our side of life and wish you

abundance and joy in your lives, throughout your lives.

We live in your hearts as you live in ours, and there can only be benefit from this union: for ourselves for the trust you place in us; for you for the joy you feel in contact with us, and for all mankind for the love we together pour into your world.

All is one, all is indivisible, yet you only see barriers where there are none, and these barriers impede you and you cry out, “Why am I not learning and growing faster, faster?” We say to you that you already contain all knowledge, wisdom and beauty and have only to learn to express yourselves in trust and love, and all will flow. We cannot speed up this process, we can only transmit as much love and encouragement as you are capable of receiving, and wait patiently while you grow at your own speed, growing in understanding of who you are.

We have heard among people the idea expressed that we grow sometimes weary of the mistakes you make as you unfold, that we may lack patience with you and move on to more profitable channels. This is untrue. We never grow weary, nor impatient; we simply stand steadfast and true beside you, giving all we can give as you become ready to receive. We come to you simply and with love.

We do, however, sometimes grow sad when we see you berate yourselves, chastise yourselves, and undermine your own confidence in yourselves when you think you have made a mistake. There is no such thing, dear ones, as a mistake. There is only experience, which leads to growth. All experience is worth having, so we beg you to cease chiding yourselves for errors and misjudgments but, instead, to show yourselves kindness, love and acceptance as yet you would show it to others, and grow and move on with each new experience into a grander, brighter and more beautiful version of yourself.

We always love you. Stand with us and love us. Then learn to stand with yourself and love yourself. This is all.

Thursday 4th December 2003 My love, I am here, I hear you, I see you, I am you and you are me. We can never be rent asunder, for our hears, our minds, our love, are as one. This is the way of eternity, two souls in total accord. It is at this time my privilege to guide you as you make the sacrifice of living within the physical body and share all your experiences with me. And the time will come when I have the privilege of you being my guide, my lodestar. This is the way of unity, of love.

This comes as a new thought to you, for you have never thought of me in quite this way. I am your Blue Fire, the energy which fuels your compassion and faith and desire to heal all the world.

But, my dear, I have grown so sad to see you for so long deny yourself healing.

My Blue Fire shines more radiantly now as I experience you healing yourself through new understandings and love. The one you think of as you write is a part of this energy, this fire, which unites our soul as one in a fusion, almost an explosion, of love. In this lifetime, you are Pink Fire, the energy of love, and together we fuse into lilac, which is why your soul, our soul, harmonises with and resonates to this most spiritual of colours.

We have a new white energy who will now be working from this side instead of your side and, as this white energy pours onto our combined blue and pink, it softens and becomes yet more radiant and more highly of the spirit.

Do not grieve. No souls are ever rent asunder.

Let peace and calm descend and in this quiet place, let understanding grow of our oneness – Blue Fire, Pink Fire to Lilac Fire.

EPILOGUE

It is to be hoped that all these wonderful inspired and inspirational writings from spirit have demonstrated the development of a very ordinary person who was not a medium, into a very ordinary person who is a medium! At no time was

any censure

given for mistakes

or wrong-doings from these

extraordinarily loving and wise beings. No matter what my failings, they continued to give support, guidance and love. And they continue to do so to this day. Perhaps these words will demonstrate just how ordinary mediums are, in that we have the same fears, anxieties, worries and insecurities as anybody else. And we make just as many mistakes. However, we are the fortunate ones who are able to turn for counsel to those wiser beings who have gone before us.

Spirit still transmit inspired writing through me to this day, both in the development circles I run and in answer to questions which I receive through the web pages of Messengers of Light. And, occasionally, friends ask me to give them guidance in this way. I have now learned to receive this type of communication direct on to my computer - which saves me a great deal of time and effort in transcribing it, as I used to do in the early days.
