INTRODUCTION The use of video technology in litigation has evolved significantly over the past two to three decades. With the advent of the use of technology at depositions, primarily focusing on video technology …what we once called videotaped technology, designations of portions of depositions that were at one time read into the record at trial have now become video clips which can be played at trial. The use of DVT (digital video transcripts) has allowed counsel the ability to review the video deposition, create clips with the simple use of a highlighter and export these files in one of many formats to be sent via email for review by their client and/or in preparation for trial, whereby the clips can be exported to what is called a CCS file (clip creation script), sent to the trial technologist, who can import the files directly into TrialDirector for use at trial. This webinar is an introduction to DVT files, the benefits and a “how to” course on using this technology.
