THE REDESIGN OF THIS PROJECT IS FOCUSED PRIMARILY ON THE STUDY HABITS OF STUDENTS AND ERGONOMICS, MOST OF THE FURNITURE USED IN THE DESIGN IS TAKEN FROM STEELCASE BECAUSE OF THEIR ATTENTION TO THAT. DIFFERENT AREAS ARE CREATED IN THE SPACE TO ACCOMODATE GROUP, SINGLE AND PAIRED STUDYING. STUDY ROOMS ARE ALSO DESIGNED TO GIVE STUDENTS A MORE PRIVATE STUDY SESSION. A LOUNGE WELCOMES PEOPLE WHEN THEY COME OUT FROM THE ELEVATORS AND GIVES STUDENTS WHO BUY FOOD FROM THE P.O.D A PLACE TO ENJOY IT. A GLASS CASE EXHIBITS ART AND RELICS THAT CAN CHANGE EACH MONTH ACCORDING TO THE INSTALLATION.

THE DESIGN OF THIS HOUSE COMBINES SKILLS FROM AUTO CAD, SKETCHUP, AND SOME BASIC PHOTOSHOP TO CREATE A RENDERING THAT DELIVERS BEAUTYTO THE CLIENT. THE DESIGN OF THIS HOUSE IS AN EXPERIMENT IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE DIFFERENT METHODS OF RENDERING AND MATERIAL SELECTION. THE AUTOCAD PLANS AID IN CREATING THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL SKETCHUP MODEL. DIFFERENT PROPERTIES OF THE BUILDING ARE ENHANCED AFTER IT IS FINISHED IN PHOTOSHOP. WHEN OVERLAYED, THE DIFFERENT LAYERS MERGE TO CREATE A UNIQUE RENDERING FULL OF LIFE AND RICH IN ITS MATERIALS THAT STARTED WITH TWO-DIMENSIONAL LINES IN AUTOCAD.

THE TRINITY RIVER PARK IN FT. WORTH IS A LARGE SITE THAT HAS A GREAT VIEW OF THE CITY SKYLINE. THE WHITE MEDITATION PAVILIONS DESIGNED ON THIS SITE CAME FROM A MASSING STUDY OF THE DOWNTOWN SKYLINE. THE STUDY WAS SIMPLIFIED TO THESE SIMPLE PAVILIONS WITH RED ACCENTS. THEY ARE LARGE ENOUGH FOR A SINGLE PERSON TO REST ON A RED BENCH, WHILE A SKYLIGHT WASHES THE INTERIOR WITH SUNLIGHT. SUN STUDIES FROM THE SITE HELPED WITH THE PLACEMENT AND SHAPE OF THE VAIOUS SKYLIGHTS DIFFERENT IN EACH PAVILION. THE ORIENTATION OF THE PAVILIONS ARE PLACED STRATEGICALLY TO FACE AWAY FROM SOUTHERN LIGHT RAYS AND GIVE A VIEW TO THE BEAUTIFUL SKYLINE.

COMPLETED IN 1951, MAISON JAOUL IS STILL A RELEVANT PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE TODAY. THE INTERIOR SCALE OF THE HOUSE IS BASED OF LE CORBUSIER’S MODULAR. HIS SIGNATURE CURVES ARE SEEN IN THE ENTRANCE OF THE HOUSE, THE KITCHEN, AND WITH THE VAULTS. THE RUSTIC BRICK GIVES THE DESIGN CHARACTER. HIERARCHY IS SEEN IN THE SPACE WITH THE VAULTS, WITH A ROUGH RATIO OF 2:3.

THE ART IN ARCHITECTURE IS SEEN THROUGH MANY WORKS OF LE CORBUSIER AND OTHER GREAT ARCHITECTS. AS A PAINTER HIMSELF, LE CORBUSIER UNDERSTOOD THE ORGAIZATION OF ELEMENTS WITHING A SPACE. THIS CUBIST HOUSE IS DESIGNED FROM A GRID DERIVED FROM A PAINTING BY JUAN GRIS. THE STRUCTURE, MULLEONS, AND TILE IS DERIVED FROM A GRID OF THE PAINTING. THE SOUTH FACADE IS MOSTLY SOLID TO BLOCK THE HARSH SUNLIGHT. THE WEST FACADE HAS A RECTANGULAR BRISOLEIL THAT ALSO DERIVES FROM THE GRID OF THE PAINTING. INSIDE, THERE IS A NICHE WHERE THE PAINTING IS HUNG TO PAY HOMAGE TO JUAN GRIS.
