1 Introduction
1.1 What is Google?
When people hear Google many thinking only at the search engine. But Google is actually much more than that. Other services that also are from Google is for example: • Gmail A free webmail service from Google, now the biggest mail service in the world. • Google Drive Free web-‐based office suite. It allows users to create and edit documents online (and now even offline) and with an opportunity to collaborating in real-‐time with other users. A good service to use for example in school for group works. • Google Calendar A free web-‐based calendar with good opportunities to share your calendar events with your friends. • Google Contacts A free contact list, are included in Gmail. • Android The operating system called “Android” are today in many smartphones and is made by Google. And if you have a Google account you can use all services in a easy way on your smartphone, for example Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts and so on. It´s also a requirement to be able to download apps from Google Play. • Google Play Can be compared with Apple´s iTunes there you can buy apps. Google Play is to Android and to be able to download apps to your Android phone requires a Google account. • YouTube A free video-‐sharing website there you can upload your own videos with a Google accounts and earn money on advertising in your video. Google Earth A world map over almost the whole world with satellite images. You can zoom in so long that you can see houses. It´s are also a GPS that you can use when you for example drive car or walk. You can search for a place and Google Earth will tell you the way. Google+ Google+ is a social network, like Facebook and Twitter, but from Google. People explain Google+ as a mixture of Facebook and Twitter, they had taken the best parts of them both in a new social network, and it has so far had a great success. Google Reader A free RSS-‐reader, a services to follow newsfeeds, blogs and so on in same feed. On this place it´s you who decide what you want to read, your “own newspaper”. A very good service, easy to use and appreciated by the users. Google Chrome A free web browser. If you have a Google account you can synchronize your web browser bookmarks and apps with all your computers, tablets and smartphones. Google Chrome is today the world’s most popular web browser in the world.
It was just a few of Google all fantastic services. And the best of all, all services by Google are free to use for private persons and very user-‐friendly. Another very good thing to use Google´s free products is that all is on the Internet, which means that it doesn´t matter where you are and which computer, tablet or mobile phone you uses for the moment. You have always access to your calendar, mail, contacts, documents and so on.
1.2 “The cloud” Working with the Internet in this way is becoming very popular and it´s called working in “the cloud”, because we always have access to our stuff on any devices. Experts believe that this is the future of working with computers. However, as you can see are Google much more than just the world’s biggest search engine, and you can use all these free services after you have create your own Google account. 2 How you create a Google account Now we will start with creating a new Google account. It´s very easy and takes only some minutes.

But first of all, you must already have an email account that you can use when you create a Google account. It´s mostly because to show that you are a real person and so Google can send you a verify email when you have created an account.
If you have an email account to use in the registration, you can start to follow the guide below.
2.1 The registration guide
1. Start with go to this site:
https://accounts.google.com/SignUp
2. Write you name
The first you must do is to write your name.
3. Choose a username This username you choose will also be your Gmail address, for example: your.name123@gmail.com. You can use letters, numbers and periods in the username. When you are done with the registration, you will sign in to Google with your new Gmail address. Because of this, it´s very important that you remember your username! A good idea is to write it somewhere so you don´t forget it. Robin Håkansson

But if you don´t want to create a Gmail address and want to use your current email address can you click on the text below: “I prefer to use my current email address”. Then you will sign in to Google with this mail address.
4. Choose a password
Now you will create a password for your Google account. You must use at least 8 characters. Avoid using a password from another site, or something too obvious like your pet’s name. You need to write your password two times to confirm. It´s important that you remember your password! A good idea is to write it somewhere, together with your username, so you don´t forget it.
5. Your birthday
Fill in your birthday with month, day and year. The minimum age to own a Google account is 13 years old in Europe and USA.
6. Your gender Are you Male or Female?
7. Mobile phone nr (no requirement)
If you want it, you can write your mobile phone number.

Some services have opportunities to send you messages to your mobile, for example reminder about events from your Google Calendar. You can also wait and write it later. 8. Your current email address Here write you an email address you already have so Google can send you a confirmation mail after the registration that you must confirm.
9. Show you’re not a robot Now you must prove that you not are a robot. You can prove it on two ways, either type the two pieces of text, or do the verification with your phone.
10. Your country Where do you live? Enter your location.
11. Almost done Now you are almost done with the registration. You must only put a check in the box “I agree to the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy”. After that, click on “Next step”.

2.2 Your Google account
Congratulates!
Now you have an own account to Google and full access to all fantastic free services! You sign in to Google here: https://accounts.google.com/Login
May you must confirm the registration with a mail that are sent from Google to your current email address.
2.3 Where you found all services
When the registration of your Google account is done can you sign in and use all Googles services.
When you go to www.google.com can you see a black bar on the top of the web browser. There you can find the most commonly of Googles all services. This black board can also be seen on other of Googles services. Robin Håkansson
