It is my pleasure to introduce the local team. Our lively sales and lettings office is set on the High Street and showcases both Rainham and Gillingham properties. We are one of the longest established local estate agents specialising in all kinds of properties; from apartments to detached family houses. Since opening in 2003 we have helped thousands of people move home.

Our expert valuers concentrate solely on the local area as this is the best way to deliver the most relevant information regarding the property market. Because we value so many homes every week, we can normally spot factors that may affect prices far quicker than data sourced from the internet. This gives our clients a big advantage.

Our office is part of a 25 branch network that has been well established across London and Kent for over 50 years. It helps to provide 1,000s of buyers for the properties we market. As a team, we pride ourselves on providing a personal service, as many of our returning clients will testify. Staff have grown up or worked in the local area for many years. This gives us a unique insight into the lifestyle buyers can expect when they move here. I believe we are selling far more than just bricks and mortar. Moving home is a momentous occasion and it’s only natural to experience highs and lows along the way. Particularly given the sums of money involved, the number of related parties to coordinate and the time pressures from modern life. Finding your next home or selling a property takes up valuable time – time you might not have when you’re already juggling a hectic work and family life. That’s where our branch steps in. We’re in the business of helping people, not just selling houses - or worse still – just advertise them. We don’t want any of our clients to feel worried or out of their depth when moving home, so we concentrate on providing reassuring face-to-face advice every step of the way. Our service starts from the moment someone registers with us to the day the keys are handed over. We find regular communication is crucial – contacting the client first so they’re never left wondering or chasing us, replying to emails promptly and making ourselves available - in the flesh - through branches that open late, even on Sundays. It’s easy to get swept up with the online agency phenomenon, where fixed fees and alluring promises might catch your eye. We are finding, however, that many sellers come to us after an unsuccessful period with an online agent. While they’ve been able to get their home advertised online, viewings have been thin on the ground, and chains have unraveled when it came to steering the sale successfully to exchange and completion. Movers have found themselves frustrated with the lack of activity and unaccountability, spending hours trying to work out the best people to speak to or the right button to press on the phone - 1, 2, 3 or 10?

For us, this is not acceptable. We know the hard work actually starts after an offer has been accepted, so we employ dedicated Sales Progressors who co-ordinate everyone in the chain until completion is reached. Our Progressors even have movers coming to them worrying about how to collect keys from online agents and they can’t get hold of anyone for advice – this is not a problem when you’re using our services, with a local convenient branch. Sales Progressors are also backed by the branch teams who you can meet or call every day of the week. It might surprise you that we have excellent working relations with other estate agents and solicitors, as we’re often the driving force behind related chains. Fellow High Street professionals have become edgy recently when an online agency has been representing a seller but they breathe a sigh of relief when they see The Robinson Jackson Group involved – they know we

along to completion. Sadly, it’s online agents who usually require the most support from us, and that’s why we’d advise caution when buying or selling via a nontraditional agent. While we’re happy to support and cajole everyone else in the chain, it is only natural to put our clients first. This might extend to finding you your next home and negotiating the purchase price on your behalf - even if it means opening a dialogue with a rival estate agent. For us, if we can help secure a property at a favourable price, it’s one less worry for our clients. If you love the idea of moving home but dread the thought of the time it might take and the constant chasing, then our friendly team will take care of things – offering advice and support you every step of the way.

My sole responsibility is to coordinate the various parties once you have accepted an offer on your property. This is a unique and sometimes challenging role but one I have enjoyed for many years. I will become your first point-of-call once the legal stages begin. I will keep the process on track and be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
