The New Face of Audi

The new Audi A3 series offers the most versatile line of drive systems

Introducing the updated, newly designed and simply unstoppable Audi A3 Approaching the starting line with new driver assistance systems, updated engine specifications and a newly designed offering, the Audi A3 saw an exciting facelift early last year, with models arriving thick and fast at Norwich Audi. Now available as a three-door version, a Sportback, a Saloon and a Cabriolet, the new A3 series offers the most versatile line of drive systems in a premium compact model, with the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron,

Audi RS 3 Saloon and Audi S3 providing more choice than ever before. Enjoying an afternoon with the Audi A3 Cabriolet, the newly designed trim lines truly mesmerised, adopting a sportier impression than its predecessor. Despite hardly any dimensional changes, the new Audi A3 features a more sharply contoured and wider Singleframe grille, alongside flatter headlights with distinctive

Available in a choice of six engines, three petrol and three diesel units, the Audi A3 offers a power output ranging from 110 PS to 190 PS. With the 1.0 TFSI, Audi offers a three-cylinder engine in the A3 for the first time ever. The compact size provides 115 PS and delivers 200 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 3,500 rpm‌ and at no cost to driving pleasure. Accelerating from 0-62 mph in 9.7 seconds with a top speed of 128 mph, every engine variant stands its own ground. Inside the magic truly comes to life, with a newly designed three spoke steering wheel, optionally available as a heated version, and for more comfort on longer journeys, the new A3 Audi comes with a driver’s seat with massage function. Proudly welcoming the Audi virtual cockpit to the model series, the new A3 displays the award-winning operating and display concept, alongside

outside contours. At the rear, the width is accentuated with horizontal lighting graphics and a newly styled diffuser. Complemented by an extended colour range, now featuring twelve paint colours including five new colours Ara blue, Cosmos blue, Nano grey, Tango red and Vegas yellow, the new model series has provided even further choice to its dedicated following.

numerous additional driver assistance systems. The newly installed cockpit depicts the most important driving-relevant information in high resolution on a 12.3 inch screen, allowing the driver to switch between two views accessed via the multifunction steering wheel. The classic mode offers large

For infotainment, the new Audi A3 sets new standards once again, with the optionally available MMI navigation and MMI navigation plus with MMI touch working in conjunction with the Audi Connect module to bring many online functions to the car. Navigation via Google Earth and Google Street View, traffic information in real time, as well as parking information, news and weather updates are all transmitted to the car, raising the bar in the premium compact segment. The flat rate data plan required for this is included, thanks to the new Audi Connect SIM card permanently installed in the vehicle.

Adding many new safety systems to the model series, the A3 now makes town and country driving even easier thanks to further developed Audi Active Lane Assist and Audi Pre-sense, including predictive pedestrian protection. New in the segment, the optionally available Traffic-jam Assist keeps the car at a safe distance from the vehicle in front, and in combination with S tronic automatically sets the vehicle in motion again after a short stop. Sitting alongside another new feature for the A3 family, the optional Emergency Assist initiates braking if, despite warnings, no steering activity by the driver is detected. All combining to make the new face of the A3 one of formidable success, the upgraded designs and assistance systems have made this one model to reckon with.

All power and strength Boasting improved specifications and flaunting the new Q design, the all-new Q5 presents a more comfortable drive without compromising on power; setting the bar ever higher for the Audi SUV range. Having already proved to be an enticing next generation for the model, orders have been growing since late 2016, with the first UK deliveries arriving in April. Available in a

choice of three high-level trim lines, SE, Sport and S Line, with the popular 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TFSI engines both offering S tronic transmission and quattro-ondemand technology, it’s sure to make an impression on the roads this spring. With class-leading connectivity a priority, the fully integrated MMI navigation system with Audi Connect comes as standard on the Sport and S Line. Last year set a benchmark for technology systems, assuring driving innovations with Audi Sound System, Parking System Plus, Pre-sense city, a collision prevention assistance system, which are all present on the new Q5.

The Saloon

RS 3 Joining the elite Bringing the best of its innovations together, Audi presents the very first compact saloon to bear an RS badge, a position justified by the most powerful five-cylinder engine on the world market. Soaring from 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds with an optional 174 mph top speed, the powerful, new Audi RS 3 will be introduced later this year. To add another first to the launch, never before has there been a saloon in the brand’s

history to use this award-winning engine. Fitted with a transversely mounted configuration for its powerplant, the engine already has a proven track record as a seven-time ‘International engine of the year’ award winner. Delivering a phenomenal 400 PS and 480 Nm (354.0 lb-ft) of torque, its available with engine speeds of between 1,750 and 5,850 revolutions per minute. A three-dimensional honeycomb grille with quattro badging and a wider track sets the RS 3 saloon apart from other A3 models. If it’s not the roar of the powerful engine getting attention, the two RS-exclusive colours for the model, Nardo gray and Catalunya red, are sure to.

Q2 The New Audi

The Audi Q2 carries itself with confidence. Ready to spring into action

08

Robinsons Audi Magazine

The golden child of the Q Range family – there’s not much the new Audi Q2 cannot deliver. The smallest SUV, which joined the range last November, has inherited all of the best Audi genes to make a model that’s not so easily defined. Handling with the agility of a hatchback while pulling off the commanding presence of an SUV, it’s whatever you want it to be. The design appears rugged and youthful; characteristics that have given Audi an edge entering this new market. Showing its muscles despite the elegance of a low roofline and coupé-like appearance, the Audi Q2 carries itself with confidence. Ready to spring into action, its crouching stance is brimming with energy. Further adding to the dramatic pursuit are two striking LED headlights, a feature going far beyond their captivating attraction. The headlights’ energy consumption is just a fraction of the power of conventional halogen bulbs, lasting longer while resulting in a more natural illumination similar to daylight. Front on, the high position of the Singleframe grille and the generously sized air inlets frame the four Audi

rings in statement of dominance. Continued to the rear body, a taut appearance with a long roof spoiler is met with an optional power opening and closing tailgate, combining practicality with innovative design. The interior of the Q2 steals the broad shoulders and angular styling seen outside to offer space for five. Playing with the label of an SUV, the seating positions for the driver and front passenger are undeniably sporty, while maintaining the typical allround visibility of the segment. Reflecting the new-found flexibility of the Audi design, customers can find several ways to express their personal style in the elaborately crafted interior. Colours such as yellow, orange and red may be selected for inlays, sections of the seats and contrasting stitching, whilst upholstery choices range from high-end fabrics to fine Nappa leather. In the infotainment area, the Q2 offers technologies from the full-size class. A model that is not willing to compromise on connectivity, passengers are able to surf and stream with various mobile devices via a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Bringing the fun back into the design in an effort to be both safe and exciting, the model also welcomes the latest head-up display, projecting key vehicle data, including navigation instructions and the driving speed, into the driver’s direct field of vision. The technology doesn’t rely on a single visual display either, a 12.3 inch screen which displays highly detailed, brilliant graphics is flaunted for both entertainment and safety information.

Progress is behind everything Audi does, and so unsurprisingly the Audi Q2 incorporates new technologies to embody the forward-thinking approach. Improving the quality of the drive, Audi Pre-sense Basic uses radar to recognise hazardous situations ahead, even initiating braking if necessary. Further optional systems can offer an even higher performance, including adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go function, Trafficjam Assist and Audi Side Assist which monitors lane changes by radar and Active Lane Assist. Launched with five engine

choices, two TFSI and three TDI engines with between 116 PS and 150 PS, more powerful engines are expected to come this year. Any driver will be able to embody the confidence of the Q2’s exterior into their driving. Whatever the weather outside, quattro four-wheel drive – currently available on all 2.0-litre models – adapts to road conditions. By analysing your grip the power between all four wheels will be automatically distributed to where it’s needed most. Together with its customisable design and choice of technology, the Audi Q2 is whatever you want it to be.

RS 6

The Embodiment of Racing Heritage

Prepared for the hungry eyes and baited breath of spectators, the RS 6 Avant is the culmination of a proud motorsport heritage, bringing together astonishing performance with luxury and refinement. Exterior styling is unmistakable; with signature RS hallmarks, such as a honeycomb grille design and enhanced body styling. And, with up to 605PS, the V8 twin turbo engine delivers 0-62mph in up to 3.7 seconds, suggesting that the car was stolen directly from the racetrack. While the design of the RS 6 Avant lends itself to the impression of power, the 4.0-litre V8 TFSI engine features fuel-injection technology. However, high performance doesn’t necessarily equate to higher fuel consumption. Advanced cylinder-on-demand technology automatically shuts down four of eight cylinders when they’re not needed – for example, when coasting at constant speed on the motorway or in city traffic – so you’ll benefit from the efficiency of a car with a smaller engine. Active engine bearings compensate for the vibrations that occur in these phases, to ensure continued smooth engine operation.

Combined with quattro, improved stability and agility is as expected, and requires less steering effort for a more agile, enhanced drive. Undeniably the RS 6 Avant has earned the merit of the RS initials, showcasing many technologies that have become synonymous with Audi and setting another milestone in its motorsport heritage.

Drawing inspiration from its motorsport roots it was a natural progression for the TT to obtain RS performance-car credentials and join the Audi Sport family. With the TT RS, Audi has shaken the dust from the memory of one its greatest cars: the all-wheeldrive quattro. The curves, contours and proportions are familiar from the established thirdgeneration Audi TT range. The new additions for the most powerful TT to enter the series include attractive RS detailing and the quattro logo affixed to the new honeycomb grille. Now in its second generation, the R8’s spectacular design and unbelievable dynamics, combined with the allure of open-top driving, make it one of the most desirable models in the Audi line-up. Offering a 540 PS V10 engine, which provides unfaltering performance and a sound that is sure to move you, the newest model offers a much more chiselled and athletic appearance than its predecessor. Driving the beast through Norwich’s network of winding roads, the new model’s extended width is underscored by the horizontal lines at the front and rear. The best for miles On its fifth generation, the ever-popular Audi A4 is poised in its classic low stance and distinctive presence. A mid-size saloon, the model is characterised by its seamless flow of contours which emphasise the model’s width across three trim options, or the performance S4 derivative. While the lines communicate the sporty elegance of Audi, the interior demonstrates the inspiring strengths of the brand – superb workmanship, finely coordinated colours and materials, matched with

logical, intuitive controls. The first to present groundbreaking innovation for setting reduced CO2 emission statistics, engineers geared all technologies to reducing driving resistance for the A4. A permanent fixture, but far from stagnated, the style of the Audi A4 was in no way overlooked for its newest generation. A fresh exterior design was fulfilled to stress a masculine image, an influence which becomes obvious in the wider more aggressive grille.

From the shoulder line that runs the length of the car, to the detailed styling of headlights and sculptured air intakes, this model is a firm favourite for drivers and onlookers alike. Making great strides in driveability in its confident stance on the road, the harmony between sportiness and comfort are second to none. Providing the visual trademark of the latest Audi models are the optional headlights with LED or Audi Matrix LED technology and dynamic indicators.

The cabin surrounding you in the A4 offers generous headroom in its wraparound design. Intentionally designed to impose feelings of space, the low-profile dashboard feeds into a plunging centre console with a seemingly floating aspect. The high-resolution 12.3 inch LCD screen for the MMI display has a control logic similar to that of a smartphone, including the intelligent free text search function. Using the natural voice control system, the intelligent system can also recognise easily understandable input in everyday language. A highlight from the inside is the optional Bang & Olufsen Sound System with 3D

A healthy line-up of engines is available for the Audi A4 starting from a 1.4 TFSI and including TDI ultra variants built as the most efficient or quattro for allwheel drive and intelligent axle distribution. The power output sits between 150 PS – 272 PS, with all the engines combining efficiency with sporty power and smooth running, particularly the two 3.0 TDI six-cylinder engines. Another consideration for the A4 is whether to opt for the dynamic steering, varying its gear ratio according to the driving speed and steering angle. A model of many firsts, the Audi A4 set a benchmark for the regeneration to come across the Audi range, particularly in terms of performance. This leap forward is partly based on the five-link suspension and electromechanical power

steering system. Whilst extremely lightweight, they lay the foundation for the dynamic behaviour and the first-class ride comfort – at the same time reducing fuel consumption. Thanks to numerous assistance systems, the A4 forged the way towards industry-leading and innovative technology. In an effort to save fuel, the predictive efficiency assistant will autonomously adapt to conditions. No matter the length of journey, Active Lane Assist helps you to stay in the lane and the Stop&Go adaptive cruise control including Trafficjam Assist reduces the driver’s work in slow-moving traffic. A special feature of Traffic-jam Assist is its control strategy, guided by parameters such as road markings or vehicles ahead. From this information, the system derives a virtual vehicle path, along which it guides the A4. Discover the host of systems available in the A4 range, and even configure your own model online.

The New Look Of The Audi A5

Enhanced design. Luxurious interiors. The latest technology – all as standard in the all-new Audi A5.

Seven years after the birth of the A5 Sportback, a glittering new version now makes its appearance, bringing with it dramatic shapes, athletically taut surfaces and high everyday usability. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show late last year, the new Audi A5 has now arrived at Norwich Audi, ready and waiting for your visit. Cutting an elegant figure, the five door Coupé continues to turn heads with its striking new design and stylish silhouette. The stretched wheelbase, short overhangs and long wraparound front lid with power dome further emphasise its dynamism,

whilst the three-dimensionally modelled Singleframe grille is now significantly flatter and wider than on the previous model. Playing with light and shadow, the A5’s new wave-pattern shoulder line offers emotional elegance, with pronounced bulges peering over the wheel arches, further underscoring the quattro DNA. The rear end exhibits horizontal, equally highly precise styling, whilst the stretched luggage compartment lid terminates with a characteristic spoiler edge. The family-friendly car has also seen a significant growth inside,

gaining momentum in shoulder room for the driver and front passenger, whilst extending the rear leg room. The horizontal architecture of the instrument panel creates a sense of spaciousness, whilst the optional ambient lighting offering 30 colours to choose from, allowing drivers to select a fitting interior mood. Thanks to the all-new operating and display concept, including free-text search, the driver can control all functions effortlessly and intuitively. As an alternative to the standard-fit analogue instrument dials, Audi’s virtual cockpit has been employed to

offer various display options for added convenience. Combined with Audi’s top version MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, the model also includes 10 GB of flash storage, a DVD drive, Audi Connect services free of charge for three years and up to five free navigation updates. Additional driver assistance systems cover a wide range of functions in the new Audi A5. An intelligent combination of different technologies enhances safety, comfort and efficiency, also taking the next step toward piloted driving Playing a central role, the adaptive cruise control Stop&Go

system, including Traffic-jam Assist relieves drivers in slowmoving traffic up to a driving speed of 40 mph. Assuming the tasks of braking and accelerating the car, it can also temporarily take charge of steering on better roads. Audi Pre-sense Basic intervenes if the car needs to drive around an obstacle to avoid an accident. Based on data from the front camera, ACC and radar sensors, it computes a recommended driving line within a fraction of a second. The line-up is rounded out by other assistance systems, such as Turn Assist, Park Assist, Cross-traffic assist rear, exit warning, camera-based traffic

sign recognition Audi Active Lane Assist and Audi Side Assist. Available in two TFSI and four TDI engine versions, the Audi A5 produces between 190 PS and 252 PS of power, whilst offering a reduced fuel consumption figure up to 22% lower than its predecessor. With tailor-made drivetrain technology available for every engine version too, choose from six-speed manual transmissions, sevenspeed S tronic dual-clutch transmission or eight-speed tiptronic, whilst enjoying frontwheel drive as standard or quattro all-wheel as an option.

Taking the title of the lightest vehicle in its segment, the Audi A5 does nothing short of impress from the ground up. An intelligent mix of materials makes it 15 kg lighter than its predecessor, with the overall weight dropping by some 85 kg. Having arrived in showrooms just days before Christmas, the new model has already caught the attention of many in and around Norwich’s city centre. With test drives now available and orders opening this month, be sure to visit Norwich Audi to arrange your appointment today.

Championed as the world leader of its segment, the Audi SQ7 storms ahead of the competition with a V8 diesel engine, two turbochargers and 435 PS all ready to jump into action on demand. Saying goodbye to turbo lag, thanks to the electric powered compressor that impresses even at low speeds, this model is simply put - history in the making.

Taking the stunning SQ7 out for a test drive around Norwich’s exhilarating ring roads, it was easy to see why it’s nimble stance and sporty nature has made it one of the most sought after SUV’s on the market. Likened to a sports sedan, the SQ7 delivers full power from a 48 volt electrical subsystem, ensuring the 0 - 62 mph mark was met in less than 5 seconds – all whilst retaining an average of 32.5 mpg.

Inside the model offers a very comfortable place to be. A new wraparound interior envelopes the driver in luxury. Increased headroom makes the cabin more spacious whilst the sumptuous styling details of the SQ7 adds to the drive. Quilted Valcona leather upholstery features, alongside aluminium accents featuring the SQ7 logo as standard, and subtle ambient lighting.

Offering sharper, more horizontal lines than its predecessor, with striking quattro side blades and a redesigned 3D hexagonal Singleframe grille, Audi’s largest SUV has undergone some big changes since its redesign over 12 months ago. Double arrowshaped daytime running lights and the first Q model to feature the optional Audi Matrix LED headlights add to the Q7’s powerful, athletic appearance. But whilst the Q7 range has gained many new features, it’s also lost weight – the equivalent of a grand piano to be precise. Resulting in better efficiency across the choice of four TDI engines, the overall upshot is a drive that’s both agile and responsive.

SQ7 model, or an optional extra on the Q7 variant, the Virtual Cockpit worked to replace the traditional dashboard, instead presenting a high resolution, 12.3” LCD screen which can be customised to each driver and their journey. Offering options to shrink the dials to show other functions, or enabling expansion of the navigation to fill the display, everything was displayed at the touch of a button, with crisp 3D graphics and highly detailed effects. Also featuring the optional head-up display, which projects important information

directly into the field of vision, ensured navigating Norfolk’s roads simply couldn’t have been easier. As the drive came to an end, and the last turn was made into Meridian Way, the final destination, it was easy to see why the SQ7 had been branded the height of performance, style and technology within the Audi range. Reversing into our reserved parking bay using the rear view camera, also another standard feature on the model, it was with a heavy heart that the keys were returned.

Coming out of its infancy, the Audi Q3 reigns in its mid-size position within the strong, stylish and prominent Q range family. The compact crossover optimises SUV characteristics whilst maintaining a coupélike appearance. The result is a powerful performance delivered from a recognisably curved

silhouette. Now on its second generation, the addition of subtle design features including the 3D grille, chrome-plated tailpipe and optional LED headlights, make the Q3 even more eye-catching. Embracing the image of a luxury SUV; inside the Audi Q3 is where

the high-quality workmanship is exposed. Clean ergonomic design and intelligent space systems reinforce its premium status. Chrome trims and optional leather upholstery see that the spacious five-seat interior is as comfortable as it is alluring. As your eyes are drawn back outside, a panoramic glass sunroof is an enticing optional extra. And, as you sit back to revel in the ultimate driving ambition, relaxing sport seats and electric lumbar support promise an enjoyable journey. New to the Q model range, a 1.4-litre cylinder-on-demand engine is offered. Introduced following success in smaller models, the engine shuts off two of its four cylinders when they aren't needed. The sum of

this is a remarkably effective bid to save fuel. The Audi Q3 drives all four wheels via a sevenspeed twin-clutch transmission, launching from 0-62 mph in just 4.8 seconds. Choosing quattro all-wheel drive from the selection of Q3 engines guarantees a driving experience unexpected for a crossover vehicle. The confidence behind the bold quattro badging comes from the innovative system that helped Audi secure victories on the track. Harnessing power for the road, everyday conditions feed into a lighter, more agile drive. And, should conditions change unexpectedly, the Audi Q3 with quattro will be ready to respond – delivering more power and traction exactly where it’s needed.

A True Professional Exuding the elegance of a refined athlete with sweeping lines and a dynamic aesthetic, the Audi A7 scores highly in its division. Setting premium standards for automotive design, the Sportback model expertly combines emotional appeal and functional benefits. The result is a fusion of the luxury and refinement of an executive Saloon with the looks and agility of a Coupé. The A7 teases the eyes along the length of its sweeping roofline to a sharp drop at the rear end. A striking Singleframe grille fills the space between Matrix LED headlights, completing the design with attractive arching indicators.

Not just any LED headlights, the Audi A7 Sportback’s Matrix LED headlights incorporate remarkable technology which adapts automatically to the car’s surroundings. Fitted as standard on the A7 Sportback S line and Black Edition, sensors and an inbuilt camera allow Matrix LED headlights to detect the rear and oncoming lights of other road users, as well as ambient light in built-up areas. The technology then reacts by dipping individual LEDs to help reduce the risk of dazzling other road users, while still fully illuminating the remainder of the road. Using the vehicle’s navigation data, Matrix LED technology can even anticipate corners, adjusting LEDs as you negotiate the bend. The result is a much wider visual range, benefitting both the driver and other road users.

The A7 teases the eyes along the length of its sweeping roofline Faced with an elegantly sweeping dashboard, every detail of the model’s interior lends itself to the impression of pure luxury. The chosen materials emphasise this, including options for an aluminium or Beaufort walnut inlay and rich Valcona leather to finish. Enveloping both driver and passenger in comfort, relaxation is sought from the optional ventilation and massage functions in the front seats, while the engine breathes in preparation of 0 - 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds for the 4.0 TFSI quattro. Boasting enhanced technology across driving, safety and entertainment systems ensures a continuously stimulating experience in tune with the comfort features. The A7 can be optionally supplemented with a head-up display that projects

all important information onto the windscreen, coupled with the MMI user control system promises enjoyment. Helping to deliver greater traction in a sophisticated vehicle, the quattro permanent all-wheel drive distributes power to each individual wheel as needed. The improvement of agility and stability are made even more impressive when toying with the engine’s undeniable power. Exuding a dynamic impression from any given angle, the A7’s wide and imposing stance declare performance credentials that are second to none. Offering an extraordinarily lightweight chassis and smooth unfaltering lines, it is without doubt a model of pure beauty… a beauty that must be experienced to be believed. What made you want to work for Audi? My interest has always been in cars and with this I have spent over 15 years in the industry. In my childhood, my father had an Audi Coupé quattro and this was the turning point for me. I remember being stunned with the engine noise and power.

What would be your highlight during your time at Norwich Audi? I have had the privilege to experience many of these, but foremost has to be the Audi Cup of 2013, hosted in Germany at the Allianz Arena. Three days of my two favourite things: Audi and football while being treated like a VIP.

Describe what the Audi brand means to you?

To me, Audi means premium quality, engineering, passion – and most of all it brings people together. It’s more than just owning a car, it’s about being a part of something bigger.

Do you have a favourite Audi model? This is difficult as there are so many, however given my family situation with little kids I would chose an Audi SQ7 – seven seats and 900Nm of torque – it’s the perfect balance of fun and performance.

What are your interests outside of work? As a family man, of course my wife and children… but I also love football. I run the Under 7’s Norwich United team which is great fun. I have also found a passion for running as a time to think and reflect.

When did you join Audi? I first joined in 1999 for six years, and recently came back to the business last June.

What made you want to work for Audi Approved Used?

What’s the biggest change for Audi you’ve seen? In my time, Audi has become much more competitive and is making an aspirational brand more affordable, without compromising on quality, style, performance or equipment.

It’s a fantastic brand that I believe in and enjoy sharing the experience with customers.

Do you have a favourite Audi model?

What’s the most important aspect of the brand in your mind?

I really couldn’t pick…however I do love driving anything with quattro.

Audi is a brand that never stands still. It’s always looking to improve and impress which I think sets it apart.

What are your interests outside of work? I enjoy most sports and listening to music, also antiques and collectables.

Why did you join Audi? I was aware of the great reputation of the brands customer service, which is something I look for. Having worked in high street retail customer service I wanted to progress into a prestigious brand.

What would be your highlight during your time at Norwich Audi? My highlight would be my promotion into the Service Team to become an STM. Initially a ‘Meet and Greet’ hostess, I grew more interested in managing our customer’s journeys and when an opportunity arose for a Service Team Manager I took it.

Describe what the Audi brand means to you? I feel I’m working for a leading brand which people are proud to be a part of, whether it’s working for them or owning one of the cars. It’s a renowned company who strive for excellence and I’m pleased to be working for them.

Do you have a favourite Audi model? I love the new TT RS Roadster – especially with the roof down.

What are your interests outside of work? I have recently bought a new flat so a lot of my time is being spent fixing it up. I’m enjoying getting stuck into DIY and decorating, which will all pay off in the end!

I think it’s the desire to drive a premium brand which is safe, efficient and stylish Jono Angelo Sales Executive, Lowestoft Audi

When did you join Audi? Just under 18 months now, in September 2015.

What made you want to work for Audi Approved Used? I wanted to work for a main dealer with an aspirational and loved brand. I also looked to

find a place I could showcase 15 years of customer service skills.

Why do you think your customers choose Audi? I think it’s the desire to drive a premium brand which is safe, efficient and stylish.

Which Audi model suits your lifestyle and why?

Definitely the Audi A3 Saloon. It’s different, it’s uncommon, with space for me and my friends, it is everything I want it to be.

What was your favourite test drive last year? I went out in an Audi S3 with an ex-rally driver, who really knew how to drive the car to its full potential.

What part of your job do you find most interesting? Most interesting would be test drives. They are a great opportunity to learn more about my customers and understand their needs; ultimately being able to recommend them their perfect car.

Norwich Audi hosts an

A Moment exclusive VIP Showroom Event

In The Spotlight With a showroom that glows in burning oranges and pinks as the sun sets every evening, Norwich Audi presented the perfect backdrop to hold a VIP Event. As the summer season was brought to a close in style, a selection of guests were invited to the impressive venue, hosting the first event of its kind there.

Our attention was on the new generation of the A3 range

showroom to the general public. Exclusivity was key: an envelope was dropped through every front-door of our confirmed guests, filled with lanyard guest passes, VIP parking hangers and confirmation of their appointment time.

A passionate response came from all invited to the event. Appointments with dedicated Sales Executives were fully booked within days, with some guests travelling hours to attend. Having successfully maintained the secrecy of both the event and the support from Audi UK, special contributions towards the purchase of a new car became the winning offer for customers, only made available across the event.

Holding a refined and exclusive event presented the opportunity to offer an outstanding level of customer service both prior to and over the course of the four-days. General Manager of Norwich Audi, Mark Willmott, advocated for an event of this kind, commenting: “Our attention was on the new generation of the A3 range and with the launch of the Audi Q2 around the corner it was important for us to reach out to our existing customers in an exciting way.

Over the four days, invitationonly VIP’s flooded into the showroom entering through a purpose-built tunnel lined with a fitting red carpet. It was the exclusive walk-way entrance that provided the first-look inside for guests, having covered the entire window surrounds with blackout curtains and closing the

“Everything was in place for a superb event, but it was the enthusiasm from the team that created a rare and special opportunity for everyone to slow-down and really enjoy the whole experience.” The event closed with a sense that guest’s expectations had been exceeded – even before they had arrived.

We do this by meeting a set of meticulous standards – whether it be a test, inspection or a promise. To qualify for our Approved Used label, there are 145 exacting checks carried out by our Audi Trained Technicians to pass. These critical measures draw a detailed written report and include mechanical,

interior and exterior inspections with a full road-test to set you up for an easy ride. Should the multi-point check highlight any irregularities, our technicians will undertake any work to remedy this using only Audi Original parts, maintaining the value of the car for your future resale. We are so confident with our process that we offer a 12 month Audi Warranty on the car passing. What’s more, this comes with Audi Roadside Assistance and the consequential expense cover for items such as car hire and even accommodation. By accepting this guarantee, rest assured our protection goes further than the drive away from our showroom with a 5-day complimentary Audi insurance. Should any Approved Used Audi fail its MOT, the cost incurred up to the value of £750 will be covered by us. This feeling of security is even extended to key protection. If your keys are lost or broken or there is a fault with the locks, we’ll cover the cost of replacements and fitting at Robinsons Audi. If this isn’t reason

enough to drive away the same day, a 30-day exchange plan should be. In the unlikely event of a fault occurring within 30 days or 1,000 miles – whichever occurs sooner – we will offer you an exchange. There’s no secret behind why we offer these outstanding set of benefits at Robinsons Audi. Every vehicle with our approved signature will have a clean and transparent record and a service history certificate at the time of vehicle handover, detailing all routine servicing work that has been done so you can drive away with a fresh start.

Roger Hickman arrived at Norwich Audi in his Sepang blue, sporty SQ5 for its complimentary Winter Health Check, unbeknownst to him that he’d be leaving in the all-new R8 Spyder. Heading home in the epitome of Audi engineering and handling the 5.2 litre V10 engine led to a test drive like no other. As an inner-city dweller sharing the road with a game-night for Norwich City, Hickman instead took off towards the outer ring road to feel the full potential of this goosebump-inducing Audi.

Enough room for the whole family, Hickman joins his wife and two boys as they tuck their dog, a black Labrador aptly

named Mustard, into the back and head out to the Norfolk country-side. Running both lunch and dinner menus doesn’t leave much time for Hickman’s interests outside of the kitchen, and yet remains a key player in the Cringleford Veterans football team. He also manages to find time to golf using his club’s flexible green card, playing by buying points instead of a full membership at Costessey Park Golf Club when it suits his schedule. Having practiced his skills on the green, Hickman was invited for the Audi UK golf tournament, marking the quattro Cup as one of his highlights of 2016, closely challenged by the experience of driving the R8 Spyder for the day.
