2 2019 CORN HILL ARTS FESTIVAL GUIDE
WELCOME
to the 51st Annual Corn Hill Arts Festival! The 2019 Corn Hill Arts Festival presented by ESL Federal Credit Union invites you to
“Come for the Art, Stay for It All!”
Experience the arts and culture of Rochester’s first residential neighborhood on July 13 and 14, 2019. With nine categories of art and an abundance of activities, this is a Festival you won’t want to miss. Plus, admission and shuttle buses are free, so bring the whole family! Volunteers from the Corn Hill Neighbors Association work year-round to prepare for the Festival, which welcomes over 125,000 visitors. More than 365 juried artists from across the
U.S. and Canada will display and sell their handcrafted arts and crafts across nine streets. With so many artists, you’ll be sure to find that special gift or the perfect piece for your home, office or garden. Love art and want to support up-and-coming artists? Then don’t miss the 11th Annual
Emerging Artists Expo presented by MVP Health Care. The Expo, located on Eagle St.,
features 19 talented young artists from our region in a variety of mediums.
Music lovers will be sure to enjoy a weekend of free entertainment including music across four stages, showcasing 28 live performances. This
year’s don’t-miss performances will be at the WellNow Urgent Care Main Stage. Saturday afternoon features The Fairport Canal Authority and Flint Creek, then on Sunday, Robert Parker’s Freightrain will perform a blend of soul, funk, blues and roots music.
Corn Hill Arts Festival artist, Kari Ganoung Ruiz
The Main Stage/Food Court area will feature a beer and wine garden spotlighting local craft beers in addition to a tasty selection of your favorite food trucks. The Michelob Ultra Gazebo Stage will
feature the popular Todd East with a tribute to the blues and Johnnie Johnson! Listen to the music and relax in the ESL Hospitality Tent, taste a variety of superb wines, spirits and ciders in our tasting garden, and enjoy craft beverages, Michelob Ultra, and Stella Artois in our beer garden.
Got kids? Bring them along because Corn Hill is a family-friendly event! Our Family Fun Zone will host the popular 7th Annual Fairy Houses Tour. You’ll be inspired by the creativity of over 40 extraordinary, allnatural, handmade Fairy Houses. Meet a real life fairy and vote for your favorite in our “People’s Choice Award Contest.”
“This Festival has been a favorite summer event in the Rochester community since 1969 and it has been truly incredible to watch it grow throughout the years,” said the 2019 Chairperson, Bill Kelly. “The goal of the Festival has always been to showcase original arts and crafts, exposing the community to a wide array of talent and supporting the artists.” Funds raised during the Festival will be used by the Corn Hill Neighbors Association, a 501(c)(3) organization, to support ongoing community services.
