Rockford Art Museum temporarily closed in order to undergo major renovation project: Rockford Art Museum (RAM) has made the thoughtful decision to temporarily close its doors to the public. The focal point of this temporary shutdown is a much-needed HVAC renovation, a vital upgrade that will ensure the preservation of our treasured art collection. By investing in modern climate control systems, the museum is taking a significant step to protect and maintain the artworks for years to come. RAM looks forward to the grand reopening in Summer 2024, where we can enjoy the beauty of art in a rejuvenated setting. During our closure, it’s our goal to continue programming in new settings so that we’re able to stay connected with the community. For more information on the closure and our continued programs, visit our website (rockfordartmuseum.org) or social media pages (@rockfordartmuseum).
