As an unofficial ambassador of The Land of Enchantment, I’ve started letting everyone in on our secret. I look back with such fondness to my first trip south across the Colorado-New Mexico border as an adult. I am still reminded of seeing the ‘Land of Enchantment’ sign and thinking, “Hmmmm, is it so?” Only to head back north not wanting to ever leave and filled with reason after reason to return! Clara + Trey

Although Clara and Trey both grew up in Las Cruces, they didn’t truly cross paths until college. One night over Thanksgiving break, they reconnected at the bar. After sparks flew that night, Trey asked Clara out to coffee before she headed back to Durango to finish out her semester. The two fell in love over a long cup of coffee and started dating long distance. Two years later, the couple set off on a private ski trip together in Southern Colorado. Trey asked Clara to marry him slopeside. Swept off her feet, she said “Yes!” They planned a timeless wedding day in their hometown for April 27th.

Molly and Matthew met on a quiet road in Newport, Rhode Island when Matthew pulled Molly over for rolling through a stop sign (which she swears never happened)! They hit it off immediately and chatted for over an hour before exchanging numbers. Molly and Matthew took it slow from one date to the next, but knew there was something undeniably special between the two of them. In the spring of 2017, Matthew planned the perfect proposal and reenacted how they met! The couple found themselves pulled over on the side of the road, again, when Matthew called Molly out of the car over the loudspeaker, got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Of course, she said â&#x20AC;&#x153;Yes!â&#x20AC;? and got out of yet another ticket! They planned an intimate elopement in the heart of Santa Fe for September 29th.

Molly and Matthew knew they wanted something offbeat for their wedding day. After going back and forth on a location, they ultimately decided to elope with their closest friends and families to Santa Fe - a very sacred place to the two of them. The couple envisioned a magical and romantic celebration rich in Southwestern style. Molly and her fabulous designer and planner, Amanda of Manmade and Sage, curated locally inspired details and decor such as chile ristras, native floral and bright colors. The day was simple, heartfelt and dreamy in every way.

Alex and Andrew met in New York City. Creative work and a mutual friend brought them together for a first date. The two found city love and moved to Los Angeles shortly after. One weekend, Andrew convinced Alex to step away from work and go on a hike with him at Griffith Park. They adventured to the top and cozied up on a nearby bench to rest and take in ocean views. Just then, Andrew pulled the most gorgeous ring from his pocket and asked Alex to be his wife. Elated and completely surprised, she said, â&#x20AC;&#x153;Yes!â&#x20AC;? They planned an elevated summer wedding below the Sandia Mountains for August 18th.

YOU + ME “Andrew and I are both very opinionated, and the vows are usually our least favorite part of any wedding. We knew we didn’t want anything too saccharine or cookie cutter. We’re both writers, so we opted to write each other’s vows! It was a special exercise in thinking about what we wanted from each other as we took these next steps. Our officiant made sure our respective vows were on the same page, and we didn’t see them until the ceremony! During the wedding, it kept everyone very engaged. No one knew what we were going to say next, including us! Our vows were funny, heartfelt and very ‘us.’”

Shawna and Joey crossed paths while jet setting. You see, Shawna is a flight attendant, and Joey is a pilot for Southwest Airlines. Although it may sound 70’s cliché, the couple fell in love despite distance and travel. From long distance lovers to inseparable souls, they slowly became one another’s counterpart. Joey asked Shawna to be his wife amongst a lush, rose garden as the summer sun set below the horizon at Grant Park. Swept off her feet, Shawna said “Yes!” They planned an elevated and thoughtful bash at Hotel Andaluz for September 22nd.
