CALEB + BRITTANY
Caleb, proudly serving in the Air Force, was originally stationed in Brittany’s hometown in California. He and Brittany originally met through a dating app, and while Brittany was about to delete the app to focus on school, she received a message from Caleb. Their first meeting was at a Christmas party, and Brittany remembers instantly knowing he was the one. From that moment on they were inseparable. That night, Brittany called her mom to tell her that Caleb was the one, and the rest is history. After a deployment overseas, moving back to Colorado and getting married, Caleb and Brittany are ready to start the rest of their lives together. They’re planning a big wedding celebration with their friends and family at Lone Tree Creek Event Center for July 2024.

MARIA + JUSTIN
While in the throes of nursing school, Maria decided to take a chance on a dating app. She and Justin matched and had a good first date, but it was the second date where Maria and Justin both realized they had something special. Walking together during golden hour, with the early autumn sunlight filtering through the trees in Wash Park, conversation with Justin was just so easy. Maria and Justin went on a ski trip two and a half years after their first meeting with close friends to Fernie, British Columbia. They stayed at a beautiful chalet overlooking the Canadian Rockies, and little did Maria know, all of her friends were in on the proposal but her. Justin tricked her into thinking they were going to the hot tub for a quick dip after a day of skiing. Instead of kneeling, Justin got out of his wheelchair and onto a raised patio step, he pulled out the most beautiful ring from his wheelchair pocket and asked Maria to marry him. The two are planning a spring wedding at the Black Canyon Inn in 2024.

CORINN + TIMOTHY
Corinn and Timothy were best friends in college. They both served at a local high school, and were helping their high schoolers plan for prom when Corinn was in need of a date herself. She had taken one too many boys to her sorority date nights, and asked Tim as, “someone who wouldn’t fall in love with her.” He replied, “What are friends for?” After a trip to Kroger with the windows rolled down to get ingredients for their handmade corsages, they were both hooked and the rest is history.
Five years later, Timothy proposed on Corinn’s girl’s trip to Italy. On the final night of the trip, Corinn’s friends convinced her they had found the perfect place to take pictures. While getting ready for the pictures, Corinn found out that her flight home from Italy had been canceled! She planned for hours trying to find a route home, all to no avail. Her friends decided to distract her with a few drinks, dinner and a trip to the picturesque spot they initially found. When they got to the top of the Roman hilltop, Corinn was stunned to find Timothy standing there. No longer caring about her canceled flight home, Corinn and Timothy spent the next few days exploring Rome as a newly engaged couple.

MARISSA + COREY Lindsay and Charles met in their hometown of Austin, Texas. Their desire to surprise each other resulted in a perfect proposal. Lindsay planned a birthday dinner for Charles at one of their favorite restaurants and included several friends. She made a very special cake decorated with a beach theme that was supposed to be a clue to the secret trip she had planned for the two of them. After the meal, she saw the waitress walking towards the table with a cake. However, she could tell from afar this was NOT the special cake she had made! Before Lindsay could intervene Charles stood up and gave a lengthy speech about how much Lindsay meant to him and ended up down on one knee proposing in front of their friends and everyone at the restaurant. After saying “yes” Lindsay looked down at the cake that had been placed in front of her instead of in front of Charles. This cake read “Will you Marry Me?” The two planned a garden themed wedding at the El Monte Sagrado for August 28th.

BRITTANY + LEVI
Brittany and Levi originally met through mutual friends one night at a bar in Denver. Upon meeting, they spent the rest of the night talking and haven’t stopped since. Their love story continued for three years before Levi popped the question. Levi proposed to Brittany the evening of Christmas 2020. They were visiting Brittany’s family in Iowa, and Levi suggested that they go look at Christmas lights after dinner. He took her to Grays Lake where he proposed. Laura Wills Photography captured their engagement photos amongst the towering trees and spectacular backdrop of Rocky Mountain National Park. Brittany and Levi were married at the Black Canyon Inn surrounded by their closest friends and family.

TAYLOR + LOGAN Taylor and Logan met through mutual friends while attending school at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. They were engaged at Raindance National Golf Course in Windsor surrounded by their favorite people in the world. Logan had arranged for both his family and Taylor’s to hide around the firepit where he had arranged candles, photos and petals for the proposal. He and Taylor came over the hill on their golf cart for Taylor to see the special arrangement and both of their families ready to celebrate their engagement. A week after the pair moved into their new home, Patrick surprised Jessica by taking her to a nearby trail to watch the sunset. He got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. Jessica immediately said yes. estes park 2024 / rockymountainbride.com

SARAH + CHRIS
In June of 2018, Sarah and Chris’ families went on separate vacations to Cancun. Their moms met while sitting at the pool cabanas and started sharing about their kids. Sarah’s parents introduced the two and they spent their last day together under the Mexican sun playing in the ocean waves. Sarah and Chris traded numbers and went their separate ways; Sarah to Colorado and Chris to Saint Louis. A few months later, Sarah decided to visit Saint Louis University for a potential masters and dietetic internship program. Chris’ family hosted her over an extended weekend, and Chris showed her around the town. They ended the trip officially boyfriend and girlfriend, and decided to do long distance for a year before Sarah was accepted to Saint Louis University and began her program. Chris proposed two years later in Rocky Mountain National Park at the first spot he and Sarah said “I love you.”

WHY THE ROCKIES? “Getting married in the Rockies completed the picture of the beginning of our love story. Having our wedding in the place we said ‘I love you’ for the first time and where we got engaged was picture perfect. Now we own a home with a view of the Rockies. While sitting on the back patio and looking at those snow covered peaks, we will forever reminisce on the sweet moments and love that was shared.”
The minute Sarah and Chris were engaged, Sarah started researching venues and vendors. She wanted to make sure they got exactly who they wanted because vendors make or break the planning and execution of a wedding day. In stepped Della Terra Mountain Chateau, the perfect wedding venue that fit both Sarah and Chris’ adventurous love story with picturesque mountain views. Their bohemian inspired wedding day was filled with hues of sage green, cream, browns and blush pinks. Sarah and Chris were both so filled with love and joy that they got to share a slice of paradise with their guests in a place that was so special to them as a couple.

IRENE + DAVID While swimming in the Great Barrier Reef and cuddling koalas, Irene and David’s love story flourished on a study abroad trip to Australia. They continued to date through college at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia before moving to Chicago together to attend veterinary school and finish their doctorate degrees. David proposed to Irene at sunset at Mojave Point overlooking the Grand Canyon six years after their first meeting. Irene was so shocked that she almost dropped the ring into the canyon! The two planned a rustic mid-June wedding in Estes Park at The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn.

Irene and David’s wedding day was the first wedding since the start of the global pandemic, so it was an amazing feeling to dance and laugh with all of their loved ones in person again. Annabel from Antler and Orchid Events made wedding planning seamless for Irene and David by helping them streamline their ideas and adding special touches that were significant to them as a couple throughout the wedding day. Their wedding day was nothing short of perfect as Irene and David soaked in every second with their loved ones amongst stunning views of the Rocky Mountains.

CLAUDIA + LUKE
As lab partners in a biology class their freshman year of high school, Claudia and Luke were smitten with each other. Although they started dating their junior year, their love story flourished over the next seven years before Luke popped the question. They went for a sunrise hike one morning with their dog in Golden Gate Canyon State Park. In the quiet of the early morning, Claudia and Luke were the only two people there to celebrate this momentous moment in their lives and were able to soak in this next chapter as a newly engaged couple.

Claudia and Luke spent the next two years planning a picture perfect late fall wedding in Estes Park with only 75 guests in attendance. They said “I do” amongst a backdrop of towering trees and even a double rainbow. Their wedding day at Taharaa Mountain Lodge was filled with lush greenery and small, special moments that solidified the love they share for each other. Luke credits Claudia for making the day extra special with the little details of the day.

KAITLIN + CHRIS Kaitlin and Chris first met in high school through mutual friends. After growing their friendship throughout high school, they eventually lost touch until Chris reached out to Kaitlin through Instagram while she was on a study abroad trip to Italy in college. Chris, having just become an amateur photographer, was interested in seeing more of Kaitlin’s photos of the Italian countryside and asked her to coffee when she returned home. From that moment on, they spent every second together. Chris proposed to Kaitlin under the guise of taking Christmas card photos with their new puppy, Bentley. They spent the next almost two years planning a romantic wedding at Boulders at the Black Canyon Inn.

“There are so many highs and lows of planning. Trust the process and lean on your closest friends and family to get you to the finish line. Having a planner the entire time, or even just the day of, is helpful in finalizing the details and making the day less stressful. Our favorite memory of the day was our last dance. It was such a special moment and felt so secretive as it was just us. Everyone had gone upstairs to line up for our send off, and Chris and I were able to take in the final moments of our wedding together dancing to one of our favorite songs.”
