MADISON + CALEB bozeman Equal parts romantic and passionate, Madison and Caleb’s proposal is nothing short of a real-life dream. Caleb kicked off planning the ultimate engagement by organizing a date with photographer and videographer, Opal & Ox, to capture the surprise. Once the date was set, Caleb ordered styrofoam letters to spell “Marry Me?” that stood nearly four feet tall. With the details perfectly in place, Caleb asked his mother and photographer to fabricate a video shoot for his mother’s real estate company, where Madison worked. The filming location would unfold at the base of a beautiful mountain range outside of Bozeman near Chico Hot Springs in the heart of Paradise Valley. Three days before the shoot, the weather forecast took a turn for the worst forcing Caleb to reschedule his plans to the following week. Fast forward to what Madison thought was going to be an ordinary marketing production where she would speak about real estate in the region turned into something exceptional. While Madison drove to her destination, Caleb met with the crew beforehand and arranged eight dozen roses. The videographer guided Madison to the bottom of a small hill, where Caleb patiently waited. As Madison saw Caleb standing in the distance, her eyes filled with tears in complete disbelief and excitement. There, Caleb expressed his love for Madison and got down on one knee.

K A L E Y + E VA N red lodge Kaley and Evan met during high school, but it would take years before they seriously started dating in college after running into each other while in their hometown over summer break. The couple’s relationship seemed destined as they dated long-distance for three years! Fast forward five years, Kaley and Evan were back in their hometown together for Christmas when Evan asked to go on a walk accompanied by their dog and siblings. Little did Kaley know that the casual stroll would include a sweet proposal. The pair walked through Kaley’s parents’ property to a tree where Evan carved their names onto the wood and a bottle of champagne sat chilling in the snow. He then got down on one knee and Kaley said, “Yes” to forever.

When Audrey was working on new accounts at a local bank in town, she didn’t anticipate her own love story to unfold while on the job. But, as fate would have it, Rob had recently moved to Montana and came in to open an account. “I was having the worst day, and not pleased to make small talk with a handsome stranger,” Audrey shares. The conversation started and the two learned of common interests shared between them. Later that afternoon, Rob returned to deposit a check and of course, asked Audrey out on a date. Nearly three years into the relationship, the couple set off on horseback for a weekend ride at their favorite spot during winter. When Audrey’s horse spooked, Rob decided he better pop the question sooner than later! Before actually proposing, Rob told Audrey to dismount so he could check her horse’s feet. While Audrey patiently waited, she took in the views and as she turned around, there was Rob on one knee. TEENA + ROHAN g l a c i e r n at i o n a l pa r k After Teena and Rohan both experienced college breakups, a mutual friend encouraged them to chat through Facebook. The pair became familiar with each other in group settings before having their first date at an ice cream parlor. It was an awkward evening, Teena and Rohan never expected the relationship to go much further. However, they found themselves drawn to one another and soon became best friends. Over time, the friendly bond flourished into a romantic one. Seven years later, the couple planned a trip to Big Sur, California, following Valentine’s Day. Rohan drove them to a secluded beach nestled in between seaside cliffs and views of a misty coastline. As Rohan guided Teena to the middle of the sandy location, he halted, lowered to one knee holding an emerald-cut engagement ring and asked Teena to marry him.

Rachael +Dan PA R A D I S E VA L L E Y Rachael and Dan have Rachael’s mother to thank for her matchmaking talents. Back at North Dakota State University, Rachael’s mom was helping Rachael move into her new apartment while her daughter was at work. At the time, Dan happened to be moving into the same apartment building and kindly offered a hand to Rachael’s mom. When Rachael returned home from work, her mother couldn’t stop raving about Dan down the hall and how nice he was. Naturally, the college students got to know one another slowly in passing, but didn’t start dating until years later when Dan returned home from a deployment. Rachael and Dan went on their first date to a Minnesota Wild hockey game and instantly hit it off. Rachael couldn’t wait to tell her mom about her date with “Dan down the hall” after so many years. To propose, Dan planned a hike in the Tobacco Root Mountains to a remote high mountain lake, Bell Lake. At the top, Dan popped the question and secretly caught the moment on camera! Rachael and Dan planned a timeless and elegant wedding at Copper Rose Ranch for June 18th.

Rachael and Dan’s serene and peaceful ceremony took place in front of a trout-filled pond just steps from the property’s 100-year-old renovated barn, overlooking the Absaroka and Gallatin Mountain Ranges. The couple originally planned to have a large celebration in Minnesota, close to friends and family. But, with the pandemic lingering, Rachael and Dan chose to scale down the wedding to a more intimate setting in Montana, and couldn’t have been happier with their decision. In addition to gathering their nearest and dearest together, the groom’s life-long friend officiated the wedding ceremony. “It made the ceremony fun, light-hearted and personal,” says the bride.

Setahrae +Taylor BELGRADE Setahrae and Taylor met through mutual friends during their time living in San Francisco, California. After five years of dating, Taylor proposed at the couple’s favorite beach in Northern California, Muir Beach. About thirty minutes from San Francisco, the quiet cove is tucked into the coastline of redwood trees and favored by locals. When Taylor organized an intimate picnic date on the beach complete with a bottle of wine, Setahrae didn’t suspect anything out of the ordinary as they had shared many romantic moments similar to this in the past. Before settling down, Taylor suggested taking a walk along the shore where he professed his unwavering love, then got down on one knee to ask Setahrae to marry him. Nearby, at Taylor’s request, two of Setahrae’s best friends were hiding as the proposal took place, capturing photos and videos to remember the special day. Setahrae and Taylor planned a rustic, chic wedding for July 17th.

The vast space, amazing air, the beauty that surrounds your every move and how immersed in nature you feel… we both fell in love with the state from our first trip. While visiting Livingston in 2019, Taylor looked at me and said, “We’re going to get married here.” We wanted to bring our friends and family to see the same magic we experienced. One day, we hope to have a home or even move to Montana,” the bride shares.

Nicole + Jack WHITEFISH Nicole and Jack met while at a bustling Western-style bar in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was a Saturday night in May and college students had recently finished their spring semester. Nicole ran into a girlfriend from school at the bar that Jack knew through mutual friends. When Jack spotted the two girls socializing, he knew he had to make the first move and introduce himself. With some liquid courage, Jack sparked a conversation and offered to buy Nicole a drink. She agreed, but the mutual friend was meeting up with other friends at another spot in the bar and insisted Nicole tag along with her so Jack’s initial attempt was thwarted. After washing away his bitterness with his own group of pals, Jack decided to give it another shot. Right before the bar closed, Jack caught a glimpse of Nicole and quickly approached her for her number. Six years later, Jack proposed on the ice covered Lake Minnetonka. Nicole and Jack planned a classic, pastel infused wedding for July 23rd.

Nicole and Jack exchanged vows they wrote themselves after an intimate first look surrounded by the untouched nature of the Rocky Mountains prior to their ceremony. The bride and groom then said, “I do” in front of 160 guests with majestic mountain peaks and pristine waters as the backdrop. During cocktail hour, the newlyweds spent their post-ceremony moments in privacy cruising around Whitefish Lake.

Claire and Ben undoubtedly made every detail of the day their own, beginning with the bride designing the wedding invitations. “I knew from a very young age that I would plan my wedding. It was something I had dreamed about for so long and I had a vision that I couldn’t wait to bring to life! I envisioned a garden party theme with a light and airy color palette full of pastel pinks and neutrals and single stem white roses all over. I had a Pinterest board I was committed to and went from there. Ben is a contractor so he built our arbor along with a few other beautiful pieces that I still absolutely adore. Working together made the planning special!” Claire says.

Kailyn and Rob first caught eyes for one another at a restaurant where Kailyn was a server and Rob, a guest dining at the time. Shortly after, Kailyn noticed Rob coming in more frequently. As fate would have it, Kailyn waited on Rob’s table one day and the rest is history! Exactly two years into their relationship, Rob proposed to Kailyn on a simple yet special Sunday afternoon. The couple had recently moved into a new home together, so they invited friends and family over for an intimate gathering. Rob created a romantic ambience in the backyard where he surprised Kailyn with rose petals, candles, and of course a ring! Kailyn and Rob planned a rustic, boho wedding for September 4th.

For the ceremony, Kailyn slipped into a stunning gown designed by Allison Webb, complete with a sweetheart neckline, molded lace bodice, and the softest layers of tulle. To finish the look, the bride added a dramatic veil from Toni Federici. As for her bridesmaids, Kailyn’s leading ladies wore a mix of satin and velvet styles in dusty sage. The light green hue played beautifully among the natural outdoor landscape and paired exceptionally well with the simple, long-stem floral bouquets.
