LOCAL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

MENDOZA’S PAINTING+ PRESSUREWASHING

In this episode of our Local Business Spotlight, we visit Mendoza Painting and Pressure Washing, which has been a member of the Rohnert Park family for 17 years. Mendoza Painting is owned by Alan Mendoza, a lifelong resident of Rohnert Park for 43 years.

Starting out. Alan began his career as a teacher's assistant at the Sonoma County Family YMCA, where a parent offered him a part-time job as a painter. Alan quickly discovered a talent for painting and worked for four years with that company. After four years, Alan decided to pursue his own path and eventually launched Mendoza Painting and Pressure Washing, combining his passion for transforming homes with his entrepreneurial spirit.

Services Offered. Mendoza Painting and Pressure Washing specializes in residential repaints and new construction projects, as well as pressure-washing services to clean concrete and the exteriors of homes and buildings. Mendoza Painting and Pressure Washing has worked on projects for Rohnert Park Public Safety, including Fire Station 1 and 2

Mendoza Painting and Pressure Washing is known for its craftsmanship, attention to detail, professionalism and boasts an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and a 4.9 star rating on Yelp. They provide workmanship warranty for exterior projects, are Lead Certified with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), ensuring safe practices for homes with lead paint, and are licensed and bonded.

Volunteer Work. Not only does Mendoza Painting and Pressure Washing offer business services to the community, but they are also deeply involved in the community through service Alan has volunteered at Hahn Elementary School by chaperoning field trips, helping with yard duty, and organizing talent shows to inspire creativity in children. During the 2017 fires, Mendoza Painting used pressurewashers to help put out hot spots, provided meals for first responders, has raised funds to support families in need. In 2019, Alan helped prepare and serve over 500 meals and helped Red Cross clean sleeping cots when the Kincade Fire evacuees returned to their homes.

Future

Business Plans. Looking ahead, Mendoza Painting aims to maintain the high quality of their work and continue to build strong relationships with clients in Sonoma County. Alan would like to collaborate more with property management companies and the City of Rohnert Park and return to maintenance painting in hospitals. Additionally, Alan plans to create educational content to help clients understand the importance of hiring licensed contractors. The goal is to keep Mendoza Painting and Pressure Washing at a manageable size by focusing on steady work and maintaining a loyal client base rather than unsustainable rapid growth, all while navigating economic challenges like inflation and competition from unlicensed workers

TOM+JERRY

Tom and Jerry are the perfect pair, just like ice cream and cake—sweet, satisfying, and a match made in heaven! These two big boys (a combined 32 pounds of love!) were found together, though we’re not sure if they’re related. Around 4-5 years old, they’re great with people and other cats. Got room for this dynamic duo of lap-loving felines? The only thing missing in this purr-fect recipe is YOU!

Tom and Jerry and several other of our felines are strutting their stuff over at the Point West Flower Shop at 150 Professional Center Dr # B in Rohnert Park. Stop by and meet them!

REIKO

We still have Reiko, the paws-itively adorable 6-year-old Husky/White Shepherd-mix As if anything that is 104 lbs can be called adorable! Reiko knows that people are the ticket to all good things, and her weight is proof that she knows how to work her charm She's been known to get along with felines, too, however, when it comes to other dogs, she can be a bit choosy, preferring big boys over someone that she might accidentally step on Reiko is on the lookout for a family that will help her lose a couple of pounds – times ten. She's a dream to walk (though she might insist on a few snack rewards) and absolutely adores kids, making her the perfect addition to a family with little ones. Could Reiko be your new furry BFF?

ROLO

We must grow them bigger in Rohnert Park!! Meet some of our more “stately“ animals, pound for dollars, they are the best deal in the house! This is the last weekend of the September Pet Faire and our $20 off incentive to adopt now!

Introducing Rolo, the chocolatey delight of the dog world! This Belgian Malinois mix is estimated to be about 5-7 years young, with plenty of life and love left to share Weighing in at 115 pounds, Rolo is the ultimate gentle giant. He's pawsitively perfect with people and gets along swimmingly with other dogs. However, when it comes to felines, we're still unwrapping the mystery. Rolo's ready to roll into your life and bring a whole lot of sweetness to your days!
