GOOD NEWS FOR PEDESTRIANS
AB 413 - NEW “DAYLIGHTING” LAW
California's new 'Daylighting' law (AB 413) is making our streets safer for everyone! This means we need to give pedestrians a little extra space at crosswalks.
Here's the gist:
Clear the Crosswalks: Park at least 20 feet away from unmarked or marked crosswalks.
Curb Extensions: If there's a curb extension, give it 15 feet of space.
This applies to all intersections, even those without marked crosswalks. Take a peek at the diagrams for a visual guide!
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition. They'll be spending the next month spreading the word and providing friendly reminders about the new law. After that, citations will be issued for violations. The fine is $100, so let's all do our part to park safely and responsibly.
Let's work together to create a safer, more walkable Rohnert Park!

CHEERIOS
Say hello to Cheerios, a two-yearold Husky mix here to add a little crunch to your morning routine! This handsome boy found his way to us as a stray and, sadly, his previous family didn't come to claim him. But he's looking forward to becoming the most important part of your day!
Cheerios is a people person, er, pup through and through and is great with adults and sturdy kiddos alike. He's also has a friendly, balanced blend with other dogs, but we're not entirely sure if he pairs well with felines just yet.
Ready to make every day a little brighter with Cheerios by your side?

AUBURN
Auburn, a 1-year-old rabbit, was transferred to us from Marin Humane, where he spent time in a foster home. Initially shy, he's been blossoming with time and patience.
His foster family says he's curious, quick to explore, and loves bamboo chew sticks, though he hilariously tosses toys aside (sometimes into his water!).
Auburn is litter-trained, sweetnatured, and would thrive in a calm, patient home with adults or older children, living indoors cage-free for a long, happy life filled with love.
