The Office of Admission schedules information sessions every weekday, as well as some Saturdays. This flexible schedule allows you to discover Rollins at a time that is convenient for you. While you’re on campus, ask a student about the typical workload for a semester; have
lunch in the Cornell Campus Center; tour classrooms, labs, residence halls and the library; visit the athletic and performing arts facilities. You can even request to sit in on a class during the academic year, as long as you let us know at least two weeks in advance.

Take a seat at the table During your campus visit, you can sit in on a class of your choice. You’ll notice that many of the classes at Rollins take place at a round table, where professors and students engage in lively classroom discussions. Pull up a chair and experience for yourself the type of engaged learning you’ll undertake at Rollins —it will put Rollins’ 10-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio in a whole new perspective. While you’re on campus, be sure to inquire about everything from average class size and international study opportunities to service learning and research projects. As a student at Rollins, your professors will be more than a face at the front of a classroom—they’ll be your collaborators on meaningful research projects, your partners in service, your international study companions, your mentors and closest advisors.
Where you’ll live More than 70 percent of Rollins students live on campus in one of the College’s 18 residence halls, which range from the pod-style living arrangements of McKean Hall (in which groups of 10 students share a common bathroom and lounge) to traditional doubles in Ward to the Sutton Apartments. During your visit, you’ll experience what it’s like to live on campus by touring a residence hall and getting an up-close-and-personal look at the room of a current Rollins student.
There’s nothing wintery about Winter Park Located in Winter Park, Florida, just five miles from downtown Orlando, Rollins’ location offers more than palm trees, sunshine and average temperatures in the high 70s (although that’s not bad in itself). With immediate access to the resources of Orlando, Rollins’ location affords you cultural, internship and service-learning opportunities. While you may not be able to capitalize on all of those opportunities during your campus visit, you can take advantage of the wide range of restaurants, shops and art galleries in Winter Park, all within walking distance of Rollins’ campus.
Communities within the community While on campus, ask your tour guide or admission counselor about Rollins’ Living Learning Communities — residential communities founded on shared academic or co-curricular interests. Regardless of the Living Learning Community’s focus—arts and music in Rex Beach Hall, social activism in Pinehurst Cottage, language studies in Strong Hall, to name a few — you’ll find that the depth of your learning increases in relation to how immersed you become in your subject. So what could be better than living your learning?
Before you go: Four must-see spots on Rollins’ campus Lakeside Path Start at the beautiful Bartram Gardens and walk the lakeside path along Lake Virginia. Constructed in 2010, the path offers students a quiet place for reflection, not to mention gorgeous views of the lake.
Harold and Ted Alfond Sports Center While you’re on campus, be sure to explore the Harold and Ted Alfond Sports Center. Home to Rollins’ men’s and women’s basketball teams and volleyball squad, the 77,800-square-foot complex was built in 2000 and boasts a 2,500-seat gymnasium, a separate gym for intramural sports and a top-of-the-line fitness center.
Annie Russell Theatre Affectionately known as “The Annie,” the stunning, 375-seat Annie Russell Theatre was built in 1932 and is currently the oldest continually operating theatre in Florida, hosting six student-faculty productions each year. Stop by during your campus visit and listen for the ghost of Annie Russell— she is rumored to give standing ovations for particularly moving performances.
Cornell Campus Center 36,000 square feet of bustling activity, the Cornell Campus Center is at the heart of Rollins’ vibrant campus community. Grab a smoothie at The Grille; sit for a moment by the Alfond Pool overlooking Lake Virginia; close your eyes and listen to the lunchtime chatter in Dave’s Down Under.
