T h e weaving technique I used is a simple, criss-cross technique where I went three times with the rope around the copper pipe and continued in the opposite direction on the other side of the frame. This technique creates a strong structure and gives the rope some space in between the lines.

A furniture design project . A side table, which could be used in any space in any house with rust i c a n d / o r m o d e r n i n t e r i o r. A f t e r s k e t c h i n g a f r a m e that could be a strong structure in any position: on its side, upside down or standing straight, I positioned the table on its side with a L-shaped structure, an interestng form and firm base for the Mahogany wood that was going to be attached on top. Copper and Mahogany wood are light materials, which makes it easy to move it around and place it anywhere.

Combining my Brazilian roots with my interests by creating p r o d u c t s w i t h a s t o r y, g i v i n g i t continuation to every p e r s o n a l h i s t o r y. Unique pie ces, hand made and marcado with a branding iron.

This piece of Elm wood was recovered in the Grange Neuve, a farm built in 1779 in Sainte Gemm e , i n t h e S o u t h - We s t o f F r a n ce. Elm wood is difficult to find nowadays, it is very heavy and resistant and this particular piece was part of the original cow stable. The curves were created naturally by many years of frictio n o f t h e c o w ’s n e c k a g a i n s t t h e wood when reaching out to drink. It has been in the barn since 1800, and has recenlty been recovered.

To c r e a t e the logo, I used a copper pipe of 5 c m t h i c k n e s s , a n d t w o b r a s s L’ s . By heating up the surface of the copper connected to the brass, the logo was able to burn in to the wood.
