Conceived of and generously seeded by members Dr. Shari Melamed Kaplan and Dr. Steve Kaplan, the naming of this fund represents our commitment and focus on community in all its rich diversity and multiple voices. We are kicking off the fund as we celebrate Romemu's fifth birthday this weekend with a special request to join the Kaplans and give generously to our new music fund. Please consider honoring someone special or marking a life cycle event, perhaps a memorial of a family member or yahrzeit, or as a happy birthday wish for Romemu as we turn five. Third Annual Interfaith Passover Seder with Faith House & St. Francis Xavier Church 55 West 15th Street Sunday, April 17, 6:30pm Romemu is partnering with Faith House and St. Francis Xavier Church to host the 3rd Annual Interfaith Seder. The Passover Seder is a ritualized meal commemorating the Exodus. It was also the setting of Jesus' Last Supper. The Seder is a remarkable way of learning about the Jewish roots of Christianity. Social Justice Committee Meeting Sunday, April 10 Please join us for the first Social Justice Committee meeting, Sunday, April 10! During this meeting we will be exploring social justice as it relates to our faith and how it can inform social action.

Topic for discussion: Tikkun Olam is an important principle within the Jewish faith. What does this mean and how can we connect it to our every day lives? How is this very fundamental tenant connected to the larger picture of social justice and community organizing?
