DEAR FRIENDS, The number eight is often associated with new beginnings, and as we have completed our eighth year in operation, this has certainly held true for us. This year we watched all of our first class of RCA students graduate from high school and complete their first year in college in schools across the country. We held the grand opening for our wondrous new educator training facility, enabling us to expand our reach even farther. And we have now trained over 29,000 educators from around the world – today there are over 1 million children sitting in classrooms led by a teacher who has observed our teaching methods.
Together we are changing lives. Thank you for joining us! With great appreciation, Ron Clark & Kim Bearden
As we reflect on our success, we are so very grateful for our supporters who have made it all possible. The magic of the Ron Clark Academy is attributed to our phenomenal staff, our dedicated parents, our brilliant students, and the countless individuals who selflessly give their time, talents, resources, and love to our school. Thank you for helping us create a revolution in education!

South Africa
The 8th grade class at RCA recently raised funds for South African schools. After months of holding bake sales and fundraising, they raised almost $3,000, the most any RCA class has ever raised. While in South Africa, the 8th-grade class connected with Klyptown Youth Program, an organization for disadvantaged youth that provides tutoring, athletics and arts programs.
Through their hard work and fundraising efforts, the students were able to provide food and diapers for orphanages in Soweto, a township in Johannesburg. They also provided school supplies for schools and youth programs in the shanty towns there. RCA 8th-grade classes donate to South African schools and communities every year. THE RON CLARK ACADEMY

THE
AMAZING SHAKE
HANDSHAKE FIRMNESS • EYE CONTACT • SOCIAL GRACE • POISE ENGAGEMENT • CONFIDENCE • JE NE SAIS QUOI • SENSE OF HUMOR RCA places an emphasis on teaching students manners, discipline, respect, and how to conduct themselves in a professional environment. Students learn the mechanics of giving a proper handshake and working the room so that they are able to present themselves exceptionally well for opportunities today as well as in the future. The annual Amazing Shake contest allows RCA to test students on these professional skills. The competition consists of case-scenario stations set up around the school and throughout the city that every student must pass through, exercising etiquette and the perfect handshake. Top performers advance to the next level of challenges until ultimately there is one overall winner.
Thank you to all of the business leaders and corporate partners for making this a great experience for our students!
