Ronin Gallery invites you to explore the woodblock prints of ukiyo-e luminary Hokusai
Katsushika (1760-1849). Composed of more than 50 prints from across his nearly eight-decade
career, Hokusai: Another Side of Genius looks beyond the iconic to celebrate the breadth of his
genius as a print designer. Featured series include Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji, A Tour of
Waterfalls in Various Provinces, One Hundred Poems Explained by the Nurse, Remarkable
Views of Famous Bridges in Various Provinces, and A True Mirror of Chinese and Japanese
Poems. A selection of surimono, shunga, and illustrated books, including a complete set of
Hokusai Manga, will also be on view.
