Bondway fiberglass yachts range from 55 to 100 feet in length, customized to the client’s requirements. I led the design of 8 yacht interiors of variable length and beam as well as overseeing a team of ship builders construct the boats at shipyards in Zhu Hai, S.E.Z., China. I was a part of a small team that provided after sale service to clients as well as retrofitting new interiors to old yachts. I aided in the redesign of the standard Bondway superstructure. I prepared a set of standardised kit parts that improved the interface between client and company making the customisation process simpler Clients were primarily Cathay Pacific and Dragonnair airline pilots and their families who lived in Discovery Bay, Lantau, Hong Kong. Interiors were designed to meet all their individual needs.

Sun Hing Shing Ship Yard Lead Designer Ap lei Chau, Hong Kong, S.A.R., China|Jun 07-Aug 07 Sun Hing Shing Shipyard was established in 1977, specializing in construction, design and maintenance of wooden/ fiberglass pleasure junks and liveaboard boats delivering more than 400 boats in the range of 25 ft to 80 ft. I led the design of a prototype liveaboard yacht for Sun Hing Shing working closely with the shipbuilders to create an efficient interior and superstructure. Two yachts are currently under construction. I developed a selection of 3d models that could be used as a design tool for the ship builders to customize their yachts to meet individual clients needs.

Isabel 1953 Hong Kong built gentleman’s cruiser previously owned by Deutche Bank has been purchased by a Dutch boat manufacturer. The boat was recorded in 2D & 3D, the berths and Galley were removed and we worked with the client to create a new contemporary finish to the interior. Once complete the boat will be shipped to Europe where it will be replicated and launched as a new product in the up and coming years
