Legend of the Ribeira of Hell
The Ribeira of Hell is a stream that has there in Madeira, I am Madeiran and it is a river so a little hidden, does not inhabit many people there, around the Ribeira. And tells the legend that during the night there are witches there roaming the river, to do their rituals and these witches, tells the legend that they usually make braids with the reeds, (that that Ribeira has many reeds) and in fact in the morning and during the day people go there and the reeds they become entangled, they get a kind of braids and then people believe that it is because they roam there witches, which creates many conflicts between the population that lives there, because many of them, especially the older population, blame their neighbors or other people that they do not like and who are witches and so it creates some conflict there in that stream. This is the legend, the legend of the River of Hell.
