This project was developed in a landscape class of my third
year of Architecture school, in the University of Mendoza. The idea is to incorporate green areas into the empty spaces of the city. The main structure of the city of Mendoza is centered around plazas which get their water supply from small canals that run alongside of the roads, so the idea is to mimic the “green space” rhythm. The site has a boomerang shape and is located next to a charter school and a community center, it has been vacant for over ten years. A wood blind was designed to protect the facade and the tank area from the damage sun can cause to the wine process.

This is my Thesis Project, which was done while I was
studying at the Washington Alexandria Architecture Center [WAAC] as a exchange student from The University of Mendoza. It was developed at the “Dance with Reality studio, the project consisted in creating a Dance Facility in the neighborhood of Clarendon, located in Arlington, Virginia.

Through dance we can express emotions, and
through architecture we can design those spaces in base of the emotions of the occupants. This Dance Facility was designed to pursuit a freedom of expression. A dancing couple was the inspiration of the design, where conceptually the male body is the strong structure that holds the female body which is the building. The interiors were created in base of the connections made by two people dancing together, providing Ăœ^qb[e^l liZ\^l% Zg] e^mmbg` ]Zg\^kl fh]b_r ma^f bg base of their emotions.

Built in 1923, one of the oldest operating high schools in the District of Columbia, known as the “Pride of Capitol Hill.
The four-story high school accommodated 1300 students whithin the section of the city; with an 800- seat theater, a print shop, an automobile shop and more than a 100 classrooms and laboratories in the 300.000 square feet building.
The building, over the years, went through a series of
renovations that over time took the historic charm away from it.
In 2008, the District of Columbia Public Schools determined that renovations to Eastern High School were necessary. The building was restored to its original Gothic style, and modernized to support 21st Century education.
