! PROJECT INTRODUCTION London 28th of September to the 2nd of October The Swedish team was very excited to arrive in London the morning of September 28th. We had a quick stop at our nice hotel in the Waterloo area and then we took the opportunity to do some sightseeing before meeting up with the Finnish and Danish teams as well as the headmaster Mr Dagastir of London Nautical school and Mr Yuksel, the British coordinator.
WHEN YOU HAVE SPENT AS MUCH TIME AS WE HAVE PLANNING THIS PROJECT TOGETHER IT WAS VERY EXITING TO FINALLY MEET!

We had a lovely first meeting in a nice little Italian restaurant in the Waterloo area and it was a great start for all of us. Monday 29th of September was spent in the London Nautical School. We were given a tour of the school by Mr McGregor the deputy headmaster and we also got to visit some classes. It was a great experience. After that we had to get to work. We had a lot to discuss and talk about. Rose-Marie introduced the project to us and we made many plans for the future. One of the teachers, Mr Price from the Nautical school informed us about a program he uses a lot in class called Plickers. All in all we had an informative day and were given a lot to think about. Since we also were treated to a three course meal for lunch, we decided to have free time Monday evening and the Swedish team went to see a musical at Leicester Square – a must when you are in London! ICT training at London Connected Learning Center in Clapham Common Tuesday 30th of September As a large part in starting up our new project we all received extensive training in using Ipads, Macs and PC:s. Our teacher was Ms Carrasco, who did an amazing job in guiding us through a day and a half hands on training. We had the opportunity to get a special designed course that reached the requirement in the application form and more. During the first day we used programs as Poplet, Linoit and Explain Everything. We went outside with the iPads and filmed and edited out movies in iMovie. It was a great fun and not as difficult to do as I had imagine, but obviously we will need a lot of practice before we begin to master the programs. Ms Carrasco also gave many good example how we could use QR-codes, animations (I can Animate) and Book creator in our classrooms.
THE TEAMS CAME TOGETHER.

That evening Mr Yuksel and his wife took us to a Turkish restaurant close to our hotel. It was a lovely meal and we were quite full after the entrees but !2

some of us even managed dessert. A great evening and great food! Wednesday 1st of October The second day we worked with different programs for sound recordings, like Garageband, Audacity and Soundation. These programs were basically the same but we all, I think, found a favorite that suite our own preference. During this second day we did some filming as well and edited it in Movie Maker. At the end of the second day we worked with image processing. I think we all were tired because many of us found this last part image processing using Pixlr quite challenging. But the day was far from over. After a quick lunch we went back to London Nautical to make out final decisions about the budget, activities and such. Thursday – October 2nd Our last day started with a visit to the Tower of London. It was very interesting walking around inside the old castle, enjoying the atmosphere and learning about its history. We were all very impressed with the beautiful red poppies that had been placed in the moat as a symbol for the people lost during the World War 1. After a typical English lunch at a local pub close to the school, we all had our last meeting, were given our certificates and said our goodbyes, The Swedish team is very pleased with the week in London, we are really looking forward to the next two years and we especially want to thank the British team for a wonderful week and a great start to our new project!
