POA Updates ● Annual Mailing The staff has been working diligently to prepare, print and stuff the annual packets for this year’s annual meeting. Watch your mailbox for the annual packet coming soon! As a reminder, the Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 6:30pm at the Clubhouse. ●Meet the Candidates Meet the candidates is scheduled for Thursday, March 5th, 10am at the Clubhouse and for those who cannot attend Thursday, there will be another meeting held on Sunday, March 15th at 3pm. ●Political Policy The Board has thoroughly discussed a partisan political policy. After recommendation from our attorney and thoughtful conversations on the topic, the partisan political policy has been approved and is attached in the body of the email and is posted on the website. ● Temporary Overflow Parking The Board has discussed the recent issue with parking at the Clubhouse. Due to the high volume of patrons visiting our amenities, Tennis Club, Golf and the Restaurant, there is limited parking. People have started parking on the sides of the road, not only does this cause ruts in the ground, it is also a safety hazard. We will extend overflow parking to the area just past the current parking lot leading out to the power lines. The area will be designated as overflow parking only and will be striped and blocked off. When it is raining this area will be closed for parking. We will look into placing a pervious surface, such as crush and run, at a later date. ●Pools We have refurbished the pool furniture for all pools. We are treating the pools with chemicals that treat black algae. We have repaired a small leak at the Colleton Point pool. ●Signage We will be adding directional signs for Golf, Restaurant and Tennis on the south side as well as replacing the Weichert sign on the north side. All signs will be in keeping with the current aesthetics of the community.
Security Updates from Rose Hill Chief of Security ●Security has received several reports of unlawful entries to vehicles. Please make sure your vehicles are locked and valuables are not left in the vehicles overnight, including firearms. ●Be aware of an ongoing phone scam, in which residents are told that they have won money and someone will be dropping off a check to the residence. The scam involves collecting the taxes up front on the bogus winnings. If you receive any such calls, please contact the police and security if a caller attempts to commit this type of scam. ●Please remember to follow the speed limit and obey all traffic signs within the community.
Caring Neighbors Caring Neighbors of Rose Hill was recently contacted by Ashley Lindblad, Director of Marketing & Community Relations at Collins Group Realty of Bluffton. Knowing that we are a 501c3 non-profit charity, she offered us the opportunity to take advantage of a wonderful initiative for 2020 that they are making available. They will be donating the commission from their 200th home sale to a charity like Caring Neighbors! Collins Group Reality is asking folks to nominate their favorite local 501c3 on their website: www.CollinsGroupRealty.com/200thHomeSale, now through February 29. The 3 charities with the most nominations will become finalists for the last round of voting in the spring or summer. PLEASE go to their website and vote for Caring Neighbors. Being a recipient of their contribution would allow us to meet our financial obligations so that we can continue to help seniors remain independent in their own homes. Services that are available include transportation to and from doctors’ appointments, food shopping, telephone calls to shut-ins, meal preparation and help after surgery, temporary dog walking, assistance with chores, and home visitations. Thank you in advance for your consideration and participation in this worthy cause. Caring Neighbors Board of Directors: Sheryl Inglefield, Ginnie Lee Chalmers, Jane Phipps, Cathy Michael
