POA Updates Election Ballots 13 days left to return your election ballot to the POA office!! Ballot Deadline - Monday, March 23rd by 4PM! Greenwood Drive & BJWSA We’ve contacted BJWSA regarding the road work on Greenwood Drive. BJWSA said the hole will be filled as soon as the subcontractor can make it out. They are a little behind due to the rain last week, but we should see the area repaired in the very near future. We will continue to watch this area and communicate with BJWSA the urgency in having it repaired. MEMBER REQUEST TO VIEW VENDOR CONTRACTS The Rose Hill POA is not obligated to share vendor contracts, nor vendor financial terms under Title 33 of South Carolina state law. However, the Rose Hill Board of Directors, in an effort to increase the transparency of certain documents, has approved the following policy: Any Rose Hill Property Owner as defined in the First Amended and Restated Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions and Provisions for Membership in Rose Hill Plantation Property Owners Association, Inc., with prior notice, inspect, read and absorb vendor contracts under the following conditions: • Any contract viewed will have all financial terms redacted. • The member must give 5 business days written notice to view a specific contract and complete the required Document Release Form stating the specificity and purpose of the request. • When viewing said contract, the member will view the contract in the presence of a monitor. • The member may not record any part of or all of the contract by any means, electronic or otherwise. • Viewing of contracts is restricted to one member at a time. • The request with POA staff will require set time limit and date. Meet the Candidates The first Meet the Candidates was held on Thursday, March 5, 10am at Oak Terrace. The turn out was better than anticipated for such a dreary day. All candidates did a fantastic job answering well thought out questions from the residents. Thank you to all those who could attend. If you could not make it to the March 5th meeting, there will be a second Meet the Candidates on Sunday, March 15, 3pm at Oak Terrace. We look forward to seeing you there!
Port Royal Sound Foundation at Colleton Point Chris Kehrer, a naturalist from the Port Royal Sound Foundation came to Colleton Point on Saturday March 7th to teach about all of the marvelous plants and animals that can be found in our marsh and river. This event was a great success!
Caring Neighbors The Board of Directors for Caring Neighbors would like to express our gratitude to those of you who nominated us for the recent initiative made available to us by Collins Realty. Rose Hill Author Series The Rose Hill Author Series is a partnership between the Pat Conroy Literary Center, the Rose Hill Readers book club, and Oak Terrace at Rose Hill to highlight the exceptional stories of lowcountry authors in engaging lunchtime discussions. The next Rose Hill Author Series lunch will be held on Tuesday, March 24, beginning at noon and will feature best-selling writer Cassandra King Conroy, author of the recently published memoir Tell Me a Story: My Life with Pat Conroy. Hosted by the Rose Hill Readers book club and held at Oak Terrace at Rose Hill (4 Clubhouse Dr., Bluffton), this special literary event is open to the public. Registration for the lunch is $25.00. Menu: Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti noodles and marinara, Caesar salad, toasted garlic bread, cheesecake with raspberry sauce, and soft drinks. Books will be available for sale and signing following the discussion.
