Art Ed: An Art Educators’ Exhibition began in 2011 to celebrate current or retired art educators in Dayton and the surrounding areas. The exhibition runs from November 25 through December 27, 2021. The public is invited to vote for their favorite artwork for the People’s Choice Award supported by the Joan W. McCoy Memorial Art Fund and Rosewood Arts Centre. Awards will be announced at the end of the exhibition. The exhibition is viewable in person at Rosewood and virtually at www.playkettering. org/rosewood-gallery-home/ and is free and open to the public.

Call for Entry for the 32nd Annual Works on Paper Juried Exhibition. Drop off of submissions will be January 8 and 10. For more information go to www.playkettering.org/rosewood-gallery-home The 15th annual HWD, a juried exhibition for sculpture artists in Ohio and surrounding states will be on exhibition August 16 through October 22, 2021. HWD (Height x Width x Depth) is the area's only gallery exhibition devoted exclusively to sculpture. The exhibition will be viewable in-person at Rosewood and virtually at www. playkettering.org/rosewood-gallery-home/. This year’s juror, Matt Distel, is the Exhibitions Director for The Carnegie in Covington, KY. Prior to joining The Carnegie, Distel was an Adjunct Curator of Contemporary Art for the Cincinnati Art Museum, Executive Director of Visionaries + Voices and the co-founder and director of Country Club, a commercial gallery based in Cincinnati and Los Angeles. A Cincinnati native, Distel has been organizing exhibitions since 1994 with a particular focus on artists from the region.

Distel will select award winners including The Virginia Krause Hess Award for Excellence in Sculptural Art. The People’s Choice Award, made possible through the Joan W. McCoy Art Fund, will be announced at the close of the exhibition.
