CONCEPT: EXPLAINED: Focusing around the 3 archetypes, the target market and after researching the brands and styles of clothes THE IDLE MAN sold. We assembled 3 separate outfits which strongly represented each of the individual personalities. Vibrant colours for the Jester, monochrome for the Sage and natural blues for the Regular guy. Combining this concept with a series of illustrations which enhance the three archetypes.

ILLUSTRATIONS: EXPLAINED: For each individual we wanted to create a repeat motif pattern as a background which you would associate with that audience. These icons included elements of each of the audiences personalities. We then combined the illustrations with the photographs to produce a solid outcome.

DESIGN DECISIONS: EXPLAINED: The final designs have been mocked up into a real world context such as on iphone and mac screens as well as also a full page magazine advertisement. This method gives context to the designs and shows how they would be implemented in a advertising situation.
