AVDA AVDA's (Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Inc ) mission is to offer life saving services while promoting violence free, equitable relationships and creating the social changes necessary to end domestic and dating violence For more than 35 years, our mission and services have provided critical support to thousands in our area For the many individuals that need our help, AVDA provides a Community of Hope through our state certified domestic violence center that offers a comprehensive array of services for all victims of domestic violence including; a 24 hour crisis hotline, emergency and transitional housing, advocacy, counseling and support to help them live violence free and self sufficient lives We also work throughout the community to educate and engage people of all ages in our commitment to prevent violence
·FRIENDS OF FOSTER CHILDREN Friends of Foster Children of Palm Beach County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and we live our mission everyday of “Fostering happy childhoods by enriching lives impacted by foster care ” Friends of Foster Children is a result of a mutual merger of two longtime Palm Beach County organizations The Foster and Adoptive Parents Association and Friends of Abused Children. The Icla da Silva Foundation saves lives of patients with diseases whose only cure is a bone marrow or cord blood transplant by providing emotional, logistical, and financial support to remove barriers to treatment. The vision of the Icla da Silva Foundation is that eventually, every patient suffering from a disease whose only cure is a bone marrow or cord blood transplant, regardless of ethnicity or socioeconomic status, will have no barriers to receiving their treatment.
The Grief and Loss Embracing Project is a non profit organization whose goal is to offer comfort and support to people that are living through the pain of loss and grief of a loved one. With the help of a group of volunteers, the Project has embraced many people by listening to all with respect and love, exchanging experiences so they can deal with their pain with peace and equilibrium. We like to call this initiative that grows each day, “An Act of Love ” Our embrace is done online, interacting with people through WhatsApp groups and in Telegram and making available materials on our social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and Podcast: The Grief and Loss Embracing Project
