President’s Message Three cheers RCN! At the risk of sounding pompous, I have no hesitation in saying that , yes, our Club deserves all kudos for the excellent work done. In less than a span of two months, our members put together major events; each one high on participation; high on team work and high on finances.Starting with the Hemalkasa Surgical Camp on Jan.7th to RYLA on Jan.13th to Walkathon on Jan 31st to Udaan on Feb.14th to Rota-Hunt on Feb 28th , the Rotary Calendar was interspersed with smaller projects as well. As President, I realize how much energy and time goes into each of
these projects....time away from home and work ! I appreciate the sincerity , dedication and stewardship that comes forth through all these tasks. And, this is so because each of these Rotarians have pledged to be a Rotarian in the true sense of the term and not just a cog in the wheel. That said, one also realises that a Club of our size is capable of delivering much more.Meaning, that much more social service could be rendered IF more of our members came forward. There would be more minds in the think tank and more hands to work. So, let us make our enthusiasm so palpable that many more step out of their comfort zone.
Coming up soon is the Holi Fellowship to help us all unwind and get recharged for the months ahead.Let's all get into the Holi mood , leave our egos at home and enjoy the Maha Murkh Sammelan. Khushnoor S.Chugh.
My Thoughts... syllabus and you are set. But in life we are not served the same situations on a daily basis. Our education system prepares us to learn by rote the knowledge we are supposed to acquire to lead an 'educated' life. Every single situation we face, whether deserved or not, tests are ability, our patience, our clarity of thought and our upbringing and what finally enables us to be perceived as a good human being is our ability to handle stress under distress. There is a saying, that before you marry a man, to know his true nature, see how he handles an internet breakdown in the middle of an

MARCH 2016 GOLDEN ORANGE
As March draws near, the thing on everyone's mind...especially moms and kids...is the dreaded 'E' word...EXAMS. While we were young we totally dreaded the last couple of months of the academic year. But as I look back now, it was all so simple...You are prepared for the eventuality all year around and at the end of the year you are tested on the knowledge imparted to you throughout the year. You know exactly which subject paper will be presented to you the next morning and what you should be prepared for. The course matter is given at the beginning of the year in the form of a

Interact Debate Competition Debate is one of the academic activities that gives students a creative room to express what they think. The length and breadth of knowledge and confidence that they gain through this is simply unparalleled. The inter school interact debate competition was held on 1st Feb. 2016 at St. Ursula School auditorium. Students of 5 different schools, Center point school Katol Road, B.V.M school Civil lines, Modern school, St. Ursula school, South Point school Hanuman Nagar, participated in the event. The event started with the welcome of the guests, judges and students, compered by Vandana Agrawal. President Khushnoor Chugh spoke a few motivational words to the students. The competition then took a very energetic form when the reins were handed over to our very own PP Rtn Shabbir Shakir, who brought out the best in all the students with his unique style of anchoring the competition.
The topic for the eliminati on round w a s “Right ways are not the only ways to set things right”. BVM, Centre Point and South Point students qualified for the final round and exhibited their debating skills over another intriguing topic, “Democracy is the Government of the feeble, by THE EVIL, FOR THE EVIL”. The esteemed judges for the event were, Rtn. Rina Sinha, Rtn. Durriya Akolawala and Rtn Kanchan Naidu. The participants armed with statistics and data, made their arguments more emphatic with their righteous facial expressions, body movements and gestures, making it all the more difficult for the judges to select the winner.

4th Feb. speech .Tracing history of the PIL, adv Aney stated that Justice Bhagwati could be called the father of PIL, and has immense value,so far as problems of the masses are concerned. It began with a letter written by a prisoner in Bihar, who sought reasons for his arrest and for being behind bars for several years without trial. His letter was entertained by the court and producing the person arrested before a magistrate ,within a stipulated time became mandatory. The court has understood certain problems and entertained PILs,on several issues, only based on a letter. The Supreme Court had entertained the PIL by Akhil Bhartiya Shoshit Karmachari Sangh,as a step to recognise the right to live even when the organisation was not registered. The PIL was entertained even after strong opposition from the lawyers. He citied an example of a petition on behalf of slum dwellers in
Mumbai.Though the business they were carrying out on footpath was illegal, their constitutional right to live was considered by the court.Such PILs are welcome and people should understand their importance for the betterment of the society. He stated that elite citizens of the society have a major role in utilising the tool-PIL, for their genuine rights. Rtn Shiv Rao gave the Vote of Thanks for the pragmatic views presented by Adv Aney on the Judiciary system and PIL. The meeting was adjourned after the National Anthem. Chetna Singhal
RCL 2016 started this year as a weekend extravaganza with full on fun, fellowship, camaraderie and sportsmanship!! The Auction party for pre invited team owners and team players was held at Czaar on Friday 5 th February. Every cricket player registered for the event was auctioned to enthusiastic team owners and sponsors. Ladies can bid and how!! Surprising, unbelievable and overwhelming!!! Itisha Bahri the M.C and Hetal Sampat and Shefali Shah were kept on their toes. 42 players were sought for and bought by 21 team owners and Rotary district 3030 represented by 6 different Rotary clubs was an achievement itself. Pair teams so formed then bonded with the team owners over fellowship and food. The highest sought after pair was that of Rotary Ann Archana Javery of RCN Main and Rotary ann Padmashree Deshpande of Rotary Downtown. Team owner Aarti Kalode of "Chak de team" was determined to make them her players and achieved it too..! On Saturday 6th February the league matches started at 4.45 p.m at Ambedkar ground and all 21 teams were divided equally into 3 league matches. The top two scoring team pairs of each league went into the finals. So from pool A we had Team AKG angels of Jerry Watchmaker and Vahbiz Doongaji and "Chak de " team of Archana Javery and Padmashree Deshpande; from pool B: teams Sengupta Nursing home of Vinita Bahri and Namrata Rathod and Hardeo Hurricanes team of Gurjeet Kaur and
Sapna Mahorkar; and from Pool C, teams tauby's Awesome Twosome of Shilpa Agrawal and Shivani Bidaye; and on second position was a tie b e t w e e n "Dinshaws" team of players Sonal Ajmera and first timer Seema Jaisinghani and P r e s i d e n t Khushnoor's team; "Khushi's noors" of players Fatema Shakir and Itisha Bahri. So we had a thrilling tie breaker. .a super over in which president Khushnoor' s team qualified with a single run more than the Dinshaws team. The final 6 pairs then battled it out to decide the winners! It was a dramatic finale; player injuries; runners coming in; extras pitching in and amongst all the boundaries, run outs and catches we finally had the three team winners. Team owners, spectators and the rest of the players in the audience kept motivating the players with their applause and cheer. Team "Chak de universal" with players Archana Javery and Padmashree Deshpande were the winners; first runners up were "Khushi's noors" with Fatema Shakir and Itisha Bahri and closely behind were the 2nd

runners up team "Sengupta Nursing home" of players Vinita Bahri and Namrata Rathod. Umpires Mr. Kantode and Mr. Darbhe did their best to make fair judgements. What with 42 ladies competing ! Score keeper Rajeev Javery was meticulous and P.P. Shiraz Gimi along with Kapil Bahri splendidly compiling and judging the individual prizes. RCL 2016 was a huge success because of our chief sponsors Dinshaws dairy foods and each of the team owners and co sponsors. Dinner at the ground for all those present was at a subsidised rate by Rt.anne Asha Kakkad; many thanks to her and to Dinshaws for their supply of ice cream which all relished and a big thanks to Nivedita Pendharkar for brilliantly managing media foe us. Spreading Smiles in Remote Areas It was a combination of determination of Rtn. Shailja Pingale, focus of PP Gulab Mahant, humour of PP Rajan Bhatia, doggedness of Rtn. Sandip Dhodapkar (Director), wisdom of Rtn. Nisreen Maimoon and the simplicity of Rtn. Neeru Bhatia that made our day despite the 220 kilometres and rugged forest terrain leading to two remote villages located in Gondia District. It is no mean task to operate successfully more than 30,000 schools on charity in remote rural areas spread over India out of which 3,500 are in Maharashtra and 240 are located in Gondia District alone. Friends of Tribal Society (earlier known as Gramothhan Parishad) has proven that not only can such a gigantic task be taken up, but it can be done extremely effectively by giving meaningful training to children in the remotest areas. The concept of Ekal Vidyalaya is very simple.

In a cluster of 3-5 villages, they provide space, employ & train one teacher (normally Class XII pass from one of the villages) who imparts lessons in culture, hygiene, sports, personal development, academics, h e r i t a g e , traditions, religion etc. every weekday from 5 PM to 8 PM. Project Smiling Faces of our Club's Scholarships Committee has been financially supporting 4 such schools since the last few years. Pandharwani Village is where we were welcomed by children of two Ekal Vidyalayas who led us in a procession through the village to one of the Vidyalayas. It was a delight to observe how the teachers have been trained to teach the c h i l d r e n . Arithmetic and language is taught by the medium of singing to the children .The interaction with

the children proved that rural & remote India's ambitions are not just restricted to agriculture and small odd jobs. They vociferously expressed their ambitions to become pilots, professors, doctors, engineers etc. Sports gear covering cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, skipping ropes etc. were handed over for the two schools to the concerned teachers after felicitation of our members by the village elders. Motivational speeches by PP Gulab, Rtn. Nisreen, Rtn. Sandip and Rtn. Rajiv elicited cheers from all. This was followed by a sumptuous lunch at the house of the village head. The local MLA's wife, who also happens to be Rtn. Shailja's ex-student, came down specially to greet us and expressed her gratitude. A cup of tea with an extra dose of affection (read sugar) at her home completed a very satisfying mission. Rajiv Behal

Ladies Committee After a lovely picnic arranged by the Ladies committee I happened to walk into a group of merry go round girls actually who just had such a casual, easy going & cool environment all around with some of the Probus Members also joining in. I could see a serene lady sitting there with an enigmatic aura. She is today's special guest Neerja Shukulji whispered to me. She is a veteran tarot card reader Mrs Jyoti Mirpuri & you can ask her anything but remember to play your cards well.
Ghosh interesting I mused. But before I could get to the table I could see many of our senior aunties with lot of energy & enthusiasm asking personal questions & already booking their names. In fact suddenly I saw a queue lined up. They looked satisfied or at least calmed down. When my turn came I shot 1 question & got some satisfactory reply with a smile. That's it? Ruchi I asked? No aunty her pretty daughter said. She was distributing some bits of papers with some numbers.

Community Welfare
18th Feb.
Four months back when we visited Matra old age home at Aadasa, we realised that there was a need of eye checkup camp. Hence on 18th February, 2016, our Community welfare committee, along with Suraj eye institute organised a detection camp for all the inmates living there. 70 inmates were checked and out of this 15 needed specs and 28 were in urgent need of surgery for cataract. Hence , our next step was to arrange for specs. We are very thankful to Rt Kusum Pande and Shashank Pande, who very generously are sponsoring all the specs needed. We are in consultation with doctors for cataract operation also. Bedsheets and towels were distributed to all living there as well as to staff of old age home. We are very thankful to Dr Nagia of Suraj eye institute and his staff for their whole hearted support for the camp. Along with President Khushnoor Chugh, present on the occasion were Director Non Medical Namita Sharma, chairpersons Nirja Shukl, Ragini Sahu, Anjuli Minocha and Soniya Khurana.
Meeting Fielder, Best Debutant player…to most enthusiastic player. The Memoirs of a Mayoress: Mrs. Kundatai Vijaykar, shared her experiences as the first lady mayor of Nagpur (1996-97). At the outset she mentioned with Pride that her father Barrister Sheshrao Wankhede was the first Mayor of the orange city and it was her only political ambition to follow his footprints. She narrated her failure in 1993. It was an open seat and she was contesting against a male corporator. They received equal votes. House decided on a lottery system. Then the Mayor picked up a slip and read out the name of Mr.Dorle. Later on, in a lighter vein the congress members said that the mayor should have read what he was supposed to (meaning thereby name of Mrs. Vijaykar).
On the first day as she sat in the chair of the first Citizen of Nagpur she was excited and she thought even the people were excited too. They were not. Opposition did not turn up for the first meeting. There was lot of ruckus in the hall as 70% of the present were men. To put an end to the bedlam she pressed the “Jan Gana Mana” button0. Although she belonged to the Congress Party when Shri.Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Nagpur she made it a point to welcome him with a silver shrifal. The Press inquired the logic behind her action of welcoming the member of opposition party. Her answer was philosophical-“A Mayor is no party person. He is first the citizen of the city.” At the end she said I am sorry of the fact that I could not serve the city for very long. It was a short tenure. A Mayor normally gets two and half years but I was instrumental in organizing “Felicitation of the Lady with a Golden Voice-Lata Mangeshkar” Rtn.Ann Hetal introduced the speaker and Rtn.Ann Gita Rao offered vote of thanks. INtelligent INvestment Vinita Bahri Investing your hard earned money to make it work for you is always a difficult proposition. Every avenue of investment has its pros and cons. And making the final decision is something like Robert Frost's poem,"The road not taken". Hamesha neighbor ka fund hi better hota hai, uski gaadi ki tarah, etc etc.. At some point in time we shall always wonder whether the decision taken was the right one. I don't want to bore you with the statistics, that shows, it is only the one who spent time in the market, who ended up making the maximum amount of money, and not the ones who tried to time the market. Incidentally, this is my eighth article and we still haven't discussed politics....yeah right, when the markets tank, we change the subject!!! Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was in town recently and I can tell you what he said, "the mother of all Bull markets is yet to come!!" What he didn't say , was whether "the Father of all Bear markets is going to maul us first!!"
The amazing part about our government is that for the first time , they are actually honouring the commitment made in the budget ,and the ground level governance is changing for the better. As a result of this, well entrenched establishments that follow crony capitalism are being dethoned, this churn is resulting in some short-term pain. Around 4 to 5 years ago the Irish economy was in doldrums. Their government undertook many Austerity measures that caused short term pain to their economy, quite similar to what we are undergoing today. Shrinking of bank lending, recognition of non-performing assets, write down of assets, basically adhering to the concept of No Free Lunches, has made Ireland today, one of the fastest growing economies in Europe , whereas the rest of Europe is still facing uncertain growth prospects. Closer home,Interest rates being offered by banks to lenders, are slowly beginning to stabilize and in fact might even go up slightly, if the RBI does not bring down
their rates. So, for fixed income savers, this could be the best time to commit their money. Those of us who haven't yet completed their tax planning investments , can look at equity tax saving schemes . This could very well be the low point in our markets that they may see over the next three years. Real estate has been a complete black hole ,which just seems to absorbs all the free cash being generated and makes the best of us feel pretty poor. That should probably start changing soon. Not by way of higher prices of real estate, but higher rentals. I would like to end the financial year commentary with a small footnote ( hoping that it doesn't turn into an obituary) Aall iss Welllll!!
Grey Zone Authors of Book - Allan & Barbara Pease Why men always lie? Why men think they should always have some reason?
Why men always want to be logical? Why women always cry to get what they want? Why women insist men to listen them completely? Why women not take the sexual initiative more often? These are few among most of the questions that all of us are facing in our day to day life, or that which we think about very rarely. The authors in this book have very humorously attempted to create universal themes and define the common problems that we always face. It is not necessary that the behaviors and scenarios related to men and women that are described in this book are applicable to all people at all times. The stories are all true and include a few scenarios that may not apply to everyone, but they do apply to a majority. This book plays an important role in helping you get rid of all the confusion, distress and unhappiness in your life. It makes your life easier and is full of common sense and scientific facts. All the information is presented in a humorous,
Rashmi Shahu clear and concise manner. The book is a funny exploration into the emotional barriers between both the genders and how they can overcome these barriers. It discusses the difference in behavior between women and men, what makes them sexually attracted, and how to mend the gap between the genders to attain a satisfying relationship. It covers many topics such as sex appeal, women's clandestine ways with words, the biggest secrecy about men, why women cry, things men do that compel women to get crazy, and women's nagging. The authors try to set up a universal theme and define the common problems that couples have, and then provide practical solutions. The book comprises of women and men's sex appeal tests and cartoon illustrations. The book is a sequel to Why Men Don't Listen And Women Can't Read Maps.

Road trips are like having human wings. You meet people , learn the history ,feel and capture the spirit ….. memories etched in minds forever. Our round about trip from Nagpur through Central India was approximately 2500km covering parts of 3 states touching 25 big towns and cities. The national highways have made it easy to bypass most towns and villages but the real essence lies in experiencing the small villages. We passed through around 20 big and small towns but halted only at 13. Our journey began at noon from Nagpur and via Koradi road towards Ujjain-M.P.(520km), famous for its Shri Mahakaleshwar and Kal Bhairav Temples. Our stopover for food enroute was in a small town, H a r d a . We d r o v e t h r o u g h picturesque villages and green rice fields, making you want to just halt and sit on top of some earth- mound and stare at the sky and birds. but we had our time-table to stick to and so we let the beauty sink into our souls and drove ahead. A hot meal and bath and a good night's rest at one of the 'OYO' affiliated budget hotel geared us for the next day. A visit to the Mahakaleshwar temple next morning resonant with intoxicating sound of drums beating, bells ringing and the sight of Lord Shiva ,diyas and hundreds of devotees clapping in rhythm was just the right way to embark on our journey further towards Kota, Rajasthan.(265 km). As you drive up towards the Hadoti region of Rajasthan, you see the fascinating amalgamation of history and modernity. You go through architectural remains of the Rajputas, the Moghuls and the Marathas. You go through AgarMalwa and you are greeted with various palaces, the summer abode of the Mughals. Soyat Kalan, a little further, is famous for its 100 temples primarily the Chausath Yogini temple. You know you
have entered Rajasthan when you see herds of camels passing by with colourful jhalars and bells hanging around their neck. Jhalarapatan - city of bells(95km before
Kota) It is the political seat of CM. Vasundhara Raje Scindia. You will surely give this town a skip if you haven't done your research on the internet
Sapna Vastani (Rajasthantourism.gov.i n). Make sure to ask for help from the locals to reach your destination or even better park your car at a safe place and take a ride in an auto around this sleepy labyrinth town and the autowala will happily double up as your guide too. Amongst many other edifices , The Chandrabhaga temple complex(6th 14th cent) the sun temple (10th cent) and the Gagron fort are definite stops. The fort is one of the 6 forts in Rajasthan included in the UNESCO World Heritage site. Kota Famous for its coaching classes, Kota city, nestled at the banks of the Chambal river has its share of forts and temples. Visit the Madho Singh museum, Chambal Gardens, Garh Palace and the heritage hotel Umaid Bhawan palace for glimpses of history. A modern setup known as the '7 wonders' gives you a glimpse of all the wonders of the world in one place. do visit the old city market for amazing kota sarees at reasonable prices. Bundi(39km) After a good nights sleep our wheels rolled towards the blue city 'Bundi', named after a man called' bunda meena a hearty breakfast on the roadside of mouthwatering piping hot mirchi bhajiyas and jalebis and glass full of fresh mousambi juice prepared us to climb the Taragarh fort which houses the Bundi palace notable for its traditional murals and frescoes. Kipling said,” palace of bundi, even in broad daylight, is such a palace as men build for themselves in uneasy dreams–the work of goblins rather than of men”. Other important structures in Bundi are the 'raniji ki baori' a step- well with intricate carvings, chaurasi khambon ki chhatri (a memorial), Nawal Sagar lake and the Jait Sagar lake. to be continued…..

Rules of the Road, Indian Style
Traveling on Indian roads is an almost hallucinatory potion of sound, spectacle and experience. It is frequently heartrending, sometimes hilarious, frequently exhilarating, always unforgettable--and extremely dangerous. Therefore, it would help keeping some rules in mind while negotiating them alive. RULE 1 : If death frightens you, stay home. Mass rules the road." If you are bigger, you have the right of way. However, in the case of accidents this rule is reversed, and the driver of the larger vehicle involved in any collision is guilty and may be summarily beaten by passersby, lest the short arm of the law fail to exact his due punishment. RULE 2 : Indian traffic, like Indian society, is structured on a strict caste system. In descending order, give way to: cows, heavy trucks, buses, official cars, light lorries, buffalo, jeeps, ox-carts, private cars, motorcycles, scooters, autorickshaws, pigs, pedal rickshaws, goats, bicycles goods-carrying), handcarts, bicycles (passenger-carrying), dogs and pedestrians. RULE 3 : All wheeled vehicles shall be driven in accordance with the maxim: to slow is to falter, to brake is to fail, to stop is defeat. In observance of this rule three things are required of every licensed driver: a good horn, good brakes and good luck.
Sohrab Kanga
RULE 4 : Use of a horn is mandatory. is courageous and able Drivers caught neglecting a horn for more to survive just about than a minute will be punished to the anything. She is intense, fullest extent of the law. 1. Short bursts c o m p l e x b e y o n d (urgent) indicate supplication, e.g., in comprehension, and a clearing dogs, rickshaws and pedestrians little bit wild. She is nimble, gregarious from path. 2. Long bellows (desperate) and unselfconscious. She loves liberty denote supremacy, e.g., to oncoming more than law and the saying that truck: "I am going too fast to stop, so encapsulates it all is “In God we Trust”. unless you slow down we shall both die."* 3. Single blast (casual) means: " I have not blown my horn for two minutes." RULE 5 : Never stop for an accident, except to pummel victims. As you drive past the mangled mountain of metal, show compassion by thinking to yourself, “That's karma," or in the case of a big collision, "That's truckma." RULE 6 : Rights of way: Traffic entering a road from the left has priority. So hastraffic from the right, and also traffic in the middle. A contest with a difference. Fill in the white RULE 7 : Overtaking is blurb with what you think the person is saying. Funnier the better. Best entry will mandatory. Every moving receive a prize. Send in your replies by vehicle is required to overtake SMS/WhatsApp to 9823031232. Winning every other moving vehicle, entry will be published in next month’s G.O. irrespective of whether it has just and will get a tub of icecream from Dinshaws overtaken you or whether you are in a rush or not India's traffic thus reveals her very soul. PRESIDENTIAL CONFERENCE EXPLORES ROUTES TO PEACE Less than two months later, an event nearby focused on peace: the Rotary World Peace Conference. The two-day meeting on 15-16 January brought together experts from around the world to explore ideas and solutions to violence and conflict. The conference was the first of five Rotary presidential conferences planned for this year.San Bernardino County official Janice Rutherford, a member of the Rotary Club of Fontana, California, told attendees at the opening general session that the conference couldn't be timelier. “Now more than ever, we need to come together and create peace and reduce human suffering,” said Rutherford, who declared 15 January 2016 Rotary World
Peace Day and a Day of Peace for San Bernardino County. More than 150 leaders in the fields of peace, education, business, law, and health care led over 100 breakout sessions and workshops.Hosted by Rotary districts in California and attended by more than 1,500 people, the conference is an example of how Rotary members are taking peace into their own hands, said RI President K.R. Ravindran. Actress and humanitarian Sharon Stone urged conference attendees to find tolerance within themselves as a way to develop compassion and understanding for others. Noting that today's technology makes it easy to learn about diverse cultures and beliefs, Stone encouraged Rotary members to embrace differences while learning about others' work.
Rotary's most formidable weapon against war, violence, and intolerance is its Rotary Peace Centers program. Through study and field work, peace fellows at the centers become catalysts for peace and conflict resolution in their communities and around the globe. Other speakers included Carrie HesslerRadelet, director of the U.S. Peace Corps; Judge Daniel Nsereko, special tribunal for Lebanon; Gillian Sorensen, senior adviser at the United Nations Foundation; Steve Killelea, founder and executive chair of the Institute for Economics and Peace; Dan Lungren, former U.S. representative; and Mary Ann Peters, chief executive officer of The Carter Center and former U.S. ambassador to Bangladesh.

Nothing Else Matters Hi, My name is Kelvin Mathew & I am the younger son of Shibu & Beena Mathew. Playing lead guitar has always fascinated me. Frankly I don't remember exactly when I picked up guitar for the first time as I was more into dancing and casually drumming in my school days along with a lot of mimicking. Early lessons I took my beginner's lessons from Chaitanya Kanoriasir, a fine teacher cum mentor &continued higher lesson as well with him & another guru Anupam Newton. My formal stage presence came in the form of a Rock Band( All Rights Reversed) first of its kind with friends from Centre Point School wherein we performed on various popular songs & really felt encouraged to take it further with amazing response from school audience. Icons& Genre My early inspiration has been Metallica the iconic Rock band. Fortunately witnessing them live in Bangalore catapulted my passion. Recently watching Slash the ace guitarist along with Miles Kennedy live was another kindling moment. Our recent achievements include nailing the rock band competitions College Competition Xavier's CollegeMalhar1st Sophia College Kaladeoscope1st Xavier's Colllege Ironize ( Battle of the Bands) 1st Jai Hind CollegeTalash1st IIT Powai in top 5) Mood I Personal feats: Have 3 original compositions& (lyrics too written by me) which won us the accolades. Will be coming out with an EP very soon. I believe I have still to work very hard to fulfill my dreams but will continue chasing all my dreams. Thank you Team GO for giving me space in the magazine.

EK KADAM SWACHATA KI ORE Lets take a new resolution to keep our country clean - Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The union government of India had launched a good initiative of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in 2014 with a mission to make our entire country litter free by 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It was especially on his birth anniversary as he dreamt to make this country a clean country. The aim of this mission is to present India as an idol country before this world. This campaign would help develop healthy habits among the people and also to teach them how to preserve our environment .We see people throwing & burning garbage in the open leading to pollution which is dangerous for everyone,'s health. Due to lack of sanitation facilities & cleanliness many dangerous diseases spread like malaria, dengue etc. So let's take the 1st step to keep our area, house, city and our country clean. In our school this campaign is taken by the students of CMCA. For which they keep competitions like neat soft board, clean class and many more .For it each class gets points. We can say that swachh bharat abhiyan is a nice welcome step to clean & green India till 2019. CLEAN INDIAN GREEN INDIA!! Prachi Thakkar
Doctor Alert Dr. Rita Aggarwal “Oh God! It is exam time Every performance evokes some level of anxiety. Whether it is public speaking, performing an act on stage, playing a competitive match or game, or appearing for an examination, some creative anxiety will be there. Even the legendary singer Ms. Lata Mangeshkar would acknowledge that before each song to be recorded some level of anxiety is experienced. The best batsman Mr. Sachin Tendulkar expressed a similar sentiment that before any match he does a lot of mental preparation of relaxing himself. Only when the anxiety levels reach a high it seems to paralyse the mind and becomes a 'fear' so to say, which in turn can ruin your performance. Children must be taught that examinations are important and an integral part of
assessment and hence year round studies are needed. They should be taught to be focused on the study material, on learning, rather than the marks/grades. The child should be taught to compete with themselves and do better than what he did last examination, to improve their past performance. 'You must come first', or 'you must get 90% this time' must be avoided by parents. Parents have a great role to play in keeping the atmosphere relaxed, calm, and helping children in setting realistic goals. The study environment is of utmost importance. The room and desk should be neat, uncluttered; the light and temperature of the room should be comfortable, distractions such as door bells, phone rings should be taken care of by parents, and TV should be sacrificed
by the entire family. The structure of study sessions should be prepared in advance such as, small goals for the daily study sessions, deciding the order and sequence of tasks, and time management. One month before exams some tips can be kept in mind: prepare a study plan; combine the favourite and not so favourite subjects; revision of question papers; fixed time for sleep and relaxation; meditation and daily prayers; using positive affirmations; stopping all distractions such as mobile, internet, social media and friendly communications. All negative and positive emotions must be controlled. A calm and peaceful mind works best.

Sonia Khurana Loved every moment of the time I spent with this lady. Her smile is infectious, her energy is infectious and she is such an optimistic personality. Sonia Khurana is a treasure for our club. She has been working untiringly, this past decade, for the club and has brought so many new ideas and new zeal that I will need more than a few pages to do justice to it. A Punjabi girl from Delhi, Sonia's first twenty years were quite a contrast to the quieter, simpler Nagpur life that she chose after marriage. She studied at Welham Girls' School and then completed her graduation from LSR College, Delhi. Trained as a classical dancer, she was and still is very passionate about her Kathak. Her m o t h e r, a H i n d u t a n i Classical Vocalist passed on her singing legacy to this child. Marriage to ActorWriter-Director-Producer Vi k a s h K h u r a n a , t h e founder of Stagecraft Theatre, introduced her to Theatre world. She remembers how her living room would turn into theatre rehearsals adda and resonate the dialogues and laughter and madness. Sonia and Vikash are blessed with two kids, Sonakshi and Vardaan.
