So SUMMER’S OVER... But that doesn’t mean you have to stop enjoying yourself. If you’re aged 11–25 and creative, why not come to the Roundhouse? This autumn, we’re offering you the chance to create and produce your own tracks, join our live broadcast team to film, edit and broadcast events live from the Roundhouse, and create a brand new piece of professional theatre for LIFT 2012 and the World Shakespeare Festival. And that’s just for starters. As with every Roundhouse project, you’ll work with professionals, use industry-standard kit, and meet like-minded people in a laid-back, creative environment. Sound good? Take a look at specific project information for details of audition and start dates, and how to sign up. You’ll need to fill out the enrolment form at the back of this brochure for most projects, but for some you’ll need to email us to apply directly or submit work online. Projects start from 14 Sep – please note that weekly projects will have no sessions during half term holidays. Are you an MC, producer or musician with experience of making your own music? We’re looking for artists to create new tracks with likeminded musicians, assisted by professional music producers. Part of the project will take place in our EMI recording studio, where you’ll learn advanced techniques for recording instruments and vocals, beat production, mixing and song structure.
Meet other young musicians and learn to play as part of a band. If you’ve got some playing experience in any style or instrument, this is a great opportunity to improve your skills and perform in an end-of-project showcase gig at the Roundhouse.

Marisa Carnesky’s fantastic circus cabaret project returns! With mentoring from this highly experienced performer and director, you’ll develop amazing and unusual short cabaret and physical theatre pieces to be performed at the end of the project. Previous participants have gone on to perform at Duckie, Camp Bestival and Chelsea Theatre.
Do you have a passion for words? Like the idea of sharing your words with the world? Be a part of the Roundhouse Poetry Collective. Led by incredible wordsmith PolarBear, you’ll work alongside other emerging artists, develop your writing and performance skills and perform at top live events. The project runs from October until July 2012 and will involve a number of exciting performance opportunities on and off site.

Get started in DJing with help from resident Roundhouse DJs. Learn how to mix, scratch, and work with both vinyl and CD. A great opportunity for anyone who wants to learn about DJing and develop their skills and techniques.

We have bursaries of up to £400 to cover production costs for experimental videos, short documentaries and fiction films, and are looking to award bursaries to experienced filmmakers with an exciting idea, a strong concept and a highly visual treatment for an online film.
