PREFACE Good branding is about consistency. It’s easier for people to understand, recognize and embrace a brand when it looks, sounds and feels the same way, no matter how or where it is encountered. That’s why I created this style guide. It will help everyone associated with the Desy’s brand present it consistently through the logo, colors, pattern, font usage and more. It is critical to follow these rules and use only the authorized document templates in order to convey the traits and personality of the brand and do it consistently.

LOGO COLOR The colors used in this logo inspired from pink hydrangeas flower. Desy’s color logo is dark pink. According to Desy, eventhough pink color is identic with feminine charaterization, but actually it presents the basic color which is black. It is preferred that Desy’s logo be used in its color format of dark pink on a white background. When a color format is not practical, the black, grayscale, or white versions on the next page may be used. Desy’s color logo should always appear on a white background if possible. When this is not possible, the background should be clean, clear, and solid (void of any patterns and variations of color).

SAFE AREA To ensure maximum impact, all applications of the logo must include clear space around the logo equal to the space between the top of “Sae” to the baseline of “Illustrator and Designer” of the logo at the size it’s being used. The ratio used are x and y. Where x is the width and y is the height. The distance or scale for the safe area will be always 25% (1:4) on each side of the logo. For example, if the logo size is 8 x 5.7 cm. Transform and scale it to 25%, and that size of the logo will be the distance between the logo and other applied design.
