I created and designed a typography book about Eric Spiekermann. He is well-known for his works as a typographer, information architect, author, type designer, professor and graphic designer. His works inspired me in many ways, thus I tried to implement them in my book. There is no specific concept or style that I used. This book is divided into 7 contents as follows: Eric Spiekermann’s profile, popular typefaces, his journey, an interview, and several pages for photographs.

After doing research with my friend on one of the arts and crafts techniques, which is Ceramics. We decided to turn it into a book. This project aims to attract the younger generation in hopes to increase their creativity through this form of art. We believe that if more people were informed about pottery and its rawness(uniqueness), it will gain more appreciation and a deeper meaning to its creators and enthusiasts.

As a student, we were asked to rebrand Kota Tua’s logo and 10 historic sites as our final project. The main important thing of this project is we have to make a Graphic Standard Manual for all the logos. Through this final work, I was able to figure out how to build up my plan idea and finish it in a few different ways. To make every logo stand out and send its message and thoroughly plan the design by including utilizing basic elements and its arrangement. It is important that the message receive by the viewer and I hope my designs can do that effectively.

Students were requested to create a website. This project was done by a group consists of 2 people (Me and Adinda Hapsari). Dinda and I thought of a furniture theme, inspired form Japanese culture. Sokoko implies here and there. We were very careful to design our layout, including the use of white space, the arrangement of photos and articles.

Students were given a task to redesign an application or website. Our group (Me and Adinda Hapsari) decided to redesign the Taman Safari Indonesia’s website into a mobile-friendly web. We decided to make the Bali website because it has the most complete and sufficient information. It has not got any mobile application yet and we think it would help people. The idea is conservation nature, which implies protecting the environment forever sustainability. The style that we accommodate for this concept is playful and minimalistic. To attracted more guests, we intended to form the online looks present-day. For the graphic, we made vectored icons that explain the use of each information that we give.

Students were asked to create their own font, based on existing font. I decided to work with “DIDOT” as my basic font. Element that I put on the font inspired from Bali’s weapon, Trident. In Hinduism, it is the weapon of Shiva, known as trishula, also called the third eye symbol. The Hindu god who holds a trishula trident in his hand, uses this sacred weapon to fight off negativity in the form of evil villains. That is a traditional Balinese weapon that is still being preserved in its existence. Apart from that, the sacredness is still maintained because it contains a very high philosophy.

Students were asked to re-brand vegetable brand (Amazing Farm), specifically the logo and packaging. For this project, I chose the vegetables tomato and mint. For the packaging of the mint, I was inspired by the shape of a flower bouquet. As for the tomato, the inspiration came by the shape of a toolbox. I utilized Adobe Illustrator to create the illustrations and templates.

We (Ika Rovika, Artisa Tumiwa, Adinda Hapsari, Dila Fauzia) made a video about coffee: such as history about coffee in Indonesia, kinds of coffee beans, traditional brewing process, and Indonesian coffee culture. We used iMovie to edit the content, and as the handwriting and types, we used Adobe After Effect.

The philosophy behind “Knot the Story” identity is inspired by the fact that slow fashion movement is based on everything handmade, I wanted the target audiences to discover and find more information about the process behind their fabric or clothes. Knotting is one of the techniques used in handmade. Knotting also means to tie, I expect the target audience to be able to tie all of the information spread within this campaign and for them to understand the importance of natural dyes and also the slow fashion movement. One of the goals from this campaign is to create interest within the target audience by doing art exhibition. This event is intended to make the targeted audiences understand deeper about the real issue brought by the fast fashion. The workshop will be based on 3R, which are reducing, reusing, recycling.

The photo that I used for this Reduce Poster means that slow fashion concept is based on handmade and this is one of the process of how slow fashion products being made which is natural-dyed products, in addition the author wants to give message that this process is safer than using chemical dyes. It affects on the waste sent from this process minimize the water pollution.

3rd Poster: Recreate Recycle is a process of the used items into raw materials and reprocess them and turning them into new products. Creative is relating to or involving the imagination or original ideas. By doing this concept of waste management, it reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill and the need of the use new raw materials.

As i planned, the event will be held at Dialogue Artspace Kemang Jakarta for more than 1 week. There will be some workshops based on 3R, reduce (by using natural dyes), reuse (swap and share) and recycled products workshop. In order to create the desire within individuals, I wanted to make the slow fashion products available for purchase. Therefore, the mini bazaar will introduce the existing slow fashion brands.

Knot the Story Campaign Video The video starts by showing natural scenes and demonstrating the steps on how to make natural-dyed products with Mrs. Sancaya Rini. From putting hot wax on the textile until the final look of the textile and the video of Mrs. Sancaya Rini talking about her concerned towards millennials and the impacts of chemical dyes.

anything. I picked the ocean because my considering it was something relaxing. It’s a wonderful sort of visual meditation. One amongst the few things the longer you stare, it gets more interesting. Combined with the sound of the birds and waves give the full pleasing nautical feel. I picked some sea creatures as my elements that’s a coral reef, seashell and zoas reef. These corals are available in some spectacular range of colors and combinations.
