SYSTEM FRAME DESIGN

The “X System” guarantees maximum frame stiffness. The down tube has a triple extrusion without any type of cutting or CNC that would alter its properties or weaken it.

The battery is fully integrated in the down tube, providing a conventional bike aesthetic.

The upper tube has an opening for accessing the battery, providing greater ergonomics for the user when it comes to removing or handling it.

The internal wiring is ﬁtted naturally through the down tube and is accessed easily by removing the separator plate. This prevents any pinching or friction and allows easy maintenance.

The relative position of the less lightweight parts of the system, motor and battery, provides a low centre of gravity, guaranteeing a reactive and stable bike.

The system features an integrated chain guide in the 32-38T frame and a chain guard on the rear chainstays and seat stays.

Thanks to the position of the down tube, there is sufﬁcient fork and tyre width clearance for use in Enduro and Aggressive Trail cycling.

ATOM X - XTEP

The down tube houses a battery with a capacity of up to 720 Wh, with the most compact section on the market. It has a maximum autonomy (up to 155 km).

The asymmetric seat tube offers absolute freedom in terms of the design of the Lynx suspension system, as well as natural integration of the central motor in the bike. It incorporates cable guides in its interior for the telescopic seatpost and safety pins to limit the height setting of the seatpost.

The battery incorporates an integrated lever that allows it to be opened or closed easily, “Easy Open/Lock”.

It incorporates the Split Pivot suspension system, just like the rest of the BH Full Suspension range, which guarantees that the three forces that act on the bike, pedalling, braking and suspension, do so separately.

The charging port is located on the upper side of the battery and can only be accessed by the user.

This system integrates a SAG indicator in the mudguard for adjusting the suspension and protecting the shock absorber.

The extruded aluminium body of the battery maximises heat dissipation from the cells, extending its service life.

The user will have an elegant Smart Key Bracelet, which will allow them to remove the battery without a key. Each wristband contains a unique identiﬁcation for each bike, ensuring its exclusivity. FRAME DESIGN The simple and minimalist integration of the battery in the down tube in the “TS System”, via its upper part, enables the traditional shapes of the frames. This is fully integrated in the down tube, providing a conventional bike aesthetic.

In the “TS System” the layout of the electric elements allows frames and bikes to be designed without sacriﬁcing anything in terms of geometries.

Access to the battery through the upper part of the down tube provides great ergonomics for the user when it comes to handling it.

The traditional shapes of its tubes allows the development of a wide range, from lightweight city models to double suspension models with 140 mm of travel.

In the range of bikes that incorporate the “External DT/RC System”, the external location of the battery, on the rack or down tube, allows the use of conventional bike frames.

The Xtep e-bikes have the same shapes as the Atom X range; its “X System”, a front triangle with aggressive lines and a low standover that allows you to move quickly on the bike. Another feature that stands out is its battery, with a capacity of 720 Wh and the new 21700 cells that have the greatest energy density on the market (5 Ah), giving it an autonomy of up to 155 km. The Xtep range incorporates the Shimano E8000 motor (except for ref. ES919; Xtep Lynx 5.5 Pro-L, which has the E7000 motor). It is characterised by being a highperformance motor, limited to 25 km/h and with 3 assistance levels. It develops torque up to a maximum cadence of 130 rpm, with its optimal operating point being high cadences of the user (90-120 rpm). The maximum torque is 70 Nm (65 Nm for the Shimano E7000 motor). It weighs just 2.88 kg and it has an optimal Q factor of 177 mm. The motor was designed so that the distance from the bottom bracket axle to the most rear point of the motor would be the minimum, optimising the length of the chainstays. Shimano have developed a compact and lightweight construction that allows optimal integration in the bike, maintaining the minimum chainstay lengths and applying competition geometries. It is the most compact system, with a surface in lateral view of 19,650 mm2.

FULL SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY The full suspension Xtep models incorporate the Split Pivot technology patented by BH. The unique design of the suspension maintains its structural stiffness and enables the bike to be used without assistance performing equal to a conventional bike. Its rear triangle is very compact, with a rear center measuring only 460 mm and providing dynamic riding performance.

FIREBOLT DISPLAY

The Firebolt display features a wide range of assistance settings in order to adapt to your pedalling style. Its compact screen that is easy to read incorporates dynamic images when changing assistance level. You can personalise your assistance set-up by opting for the Dynamic, Explorer or Custom mode, adapting it perfectly to your pedalling style and the terrain.

Split Pivot technology consists of a suspension system with ﬂoating shock absorption, developed exclusively for BH Bikes and based on the traction, pedalling efﬁciency, manoeuvrability and rigidity of the bicycle. Speciﬁcally designed to be compact and long-lasting for MTB riding. An LCD that is easy to read: each assistance setting has a unique colour allocated to it. The elegant computer installed on the handlebar with a dynamic LCD screen that shows the gear number, assistance level and information on the autonomy of the battery. You can modify your preferences wirelessly via Bluetooth. The remote control of the Firebolt unit has an intuitive operation and is designed ergonomically for MTB riding on hilly and very demanding terrains. ATOM X 2 31 The need to develop a high-performance e-MTB bike provoked the launch of the ATOM X project over three years ago. A team of experts was put together from the ﬁelds of MTB geometry, suspension and performance, advanced motor, battery and IT technologies. That is how the innovative and patented “X System” came about, which represented an integration that was both ergonomic and different. It was developed until it became the best electric MTB bike with the best of both worlds: sporting performance and the most advanced electric technology.

ATOM X REDEFINIENDO ATOM X REDEFINING THE LINES LAS LINEAS The new Atom X frame, with groundbreaking lines, was designed by BH’s R&D team after more than 3 years of research and development. With a front triangle incorporating extreme and aggressive lines, its exceptional standover height allows you to ride the bike with ease, thanks to the sloping Top Tube design. The shape of the Down Tube ensures exception fork and wheel clearance for use in Enduro and aggressive Trail cycling. The down tube provides for outstanding frame stiffness. It has a triple extrusion which is free from any CNC or cut that compromise its strength. The hydroformed Top Tube surrounds the Head Tube, deﬁning the unique design of the ATOM X and increasing the stiffness of the front triangle.

Internal cabling

The cabling is routed internally through the frame (including the dropper seatpost cable). The natural ﬁtting of the cabling avoids any friction that compromises the performance of the system and ensures easy frame maintenance. The frame features an integrated chainguide that covers chainwheels from 32 to 38 teeth. Both the chainstay and the seatstay incorporate integrated chain protectors in the Lynx range. Its 148x12 boost rear triangle design ensures its stiffness and overall pedaling performance.

The asymmetrically shaped seat tube used in the ATOM X Lynx models enabled the design team to develop a streamlined suspension system at the same time that keeps the SAG indicator indicator highly visible for the rider ensuring a quick and reliable setup. Furthermore, it ensures a natural integration of the asymmetric central motor. It contains the required guides for the stealth routing of the dropper seatpost cable.

“X SYSTEM” - PATENTED INTEGRATION SYSTEM

The “X System” offers a down tube with a triple extrusion, without any type of cutting or CNC that would change its properties or weaken it. The battery is fully integrated in this down tube, providing a conventional bike aesthetic. The hydroformed upper tube embraces the steering tube, defining the shapes of the "X System" and increasing the resistance of the front triangle. It has an opening for accessing the battery, providing greater ergonomics for the user when it comes to removing or handling it. The optimal layout of the electrical elements allows frames and bikes to be designed without sacrificing the geometry of the Atom X range. The internal wiring is fitted naturally through the down tube and is accessed easily by removing the separator plate. This prevents any pinching or friction and allows easy maintenance. The relative position of the less lightweight parts of the system (motor and battery) provides a low centre of gravity, guaranteeing a reactive and stable bike. This allows the ATOM battery to achieve a total capacity of 700 Wh contained in a compact down tube design, providing the potential for 150 km of range. The external charging port is located conveniently on the upper section of the battery and is easily accessible to the user. The battery protection system incorporates an electronic lock which is activated through the use of a Smart Key Bracelet. This technology is housed within a stylish, sportive and fully waterproof rubber bracelet that includes an identification code specific to each individual bike.

DRIVE S MOTOR

The external housing integrates the motor into the frame with minimal visual impact. The motor is protected by a 3mm alloy bashguard that is directly mounted to the frame. An alloy heat dissipation plate works in combination with the motor ensuring optimal performance. The motor also integrates a built-in compartment for the GPS tracker and storage area in the hardtail models.

The ATOM X range includes a Drive S central motor, which produces 15% more torque in average for a wider cadence range (of 60 and 90 rpm). Developed for a high level of performance, the system supports the rider providing a natural riding experience. It offers superior sensitivity and response on technical terrains while allowing for a friction free pedaling under no assistance circumstances.

The Drive S motor has a triple sensor and offers a high efﬁciency with a maximum torque of 90 Nm, limited to 25 km/h. It is a 3,4 kg compact and lightweight motor, with built-in magnesium and alloy parts. A carbon belt ensures smooth and noise free performance.

FULL SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY The full suspension ATOM X models incorporate the SPLIT PIVOT technology patented by BH. ATOM 3 49 Atom bikes are characterised by their "TS System" patented by BH Bikes, which integrates the battery in the diagonal tube, enabling the shape of a traditional frame. Its optimised design offers a compact geometry characteristic of BH frames. The MTB 2018 range incorporates the Boost 148x12 rear axle, models with a telescopic seatpost and high-end peripherals. In its peripherals, the Trekking range integrates; high performance lights, racks, saddles and grips that meet the needs of our most demanding customers. Its 2.8” LCD colour display with USB port incorporates a new remote control in the 2019 range.

"TS SYSTEM" Charging from the battery

The BH Atom range incorporates the BH patented system, Turn & Slide “TS System”, with a simple and minimalist integration of the battery in the diagonal tube, at the top, enabling the design and aesthetics of a conventional frame. From double suspension models with 140 mm of travel to lightweight city models. Access to the battery through the top of the diagonal tube provides great ergonomics for the user when it comes to handling it. The internal wiring is channelled along the diagonal tube through inner tubes speciﬁcally developed in the frame extrusion. The relative position of the less lightweight parts of the system (motor and battery) enables a low centre of gravity,

guaranteeing a reactive and stable bike, and without any sacriﬁces in terms of geometries. Its extruded aluminium body enables heat dissipation from the cells, and its very compact section is optimally integrated into the frame uniﬁed by its decoration. The charging port is located on one side of the diagonal tube and allows it to be charged either without having to remove the battery, or from the battery itself. There are 2 types of batteries, 600 Wh for the Pro range, 500 Wh for the Standard range. Offering long ranges of up to 125 km in the Pro range, by incorporating 4.2 Ah high-density cells; 105 km in the Standard range. It has an energy density above 170 Wh/kg.

The torque and rhythm sensors fully integrated into the motor unit offer maximum precision and allow the system to provide jerk-free, powerful, reactive assistance. The external speed sensor measures the rotation of the wheels, providing the system with more information to optimize the assistance.

The Brose S motor, incorporated in the Trekking Pro range, has a triple sensor and efﬁciency of between 75% and 82% depending on the speed, and a maximum torque of 90 Nm, limited to 25 km/h. It is a 3.4 kg geared motor, compact and light, composed of magnesium and aluminium parts and a carbon belt that ensures a quiet motor.

Its seamless integration into the bicycle means that it can only be accessed by the user and, because it is controlled using the web and premium applications and app BH Bikes Locator, it is easy to conﬁgure.

In the Rebel range the external location of the battery, on the rack or on the diagonal tube, enables the design of traditional frames for MTB or Urban use without affecting its geometry. Access to the battery provides the correct ergonomics for the user when it comes to handling it, and the internal wiring is housed in the diagonal tube. The relative position of the less lightweight parts of the system (motor and battery) enables a low centre of gravity, guaranteeing a reactive and stable bike. The charging port is located on one side of the diagonal tube and in the battery itself, and enables charging without having to remove the battery. offers a range of up to 105 km (500 Wh) or 85 km (400 Wh battery)*. Rebel bikes come with 3 types of display: The PW-X range has a robust and highly visual screen that allows the rider to concentrate on the ride. A design with a housing that protects the screen from vibrations and knocks and with high visibility and an LED light that indicates the assistance mode (green for ECO and ECO+ modes, blue for HIGH/STD and yellow for EXPW). The control buttons to set the assistance mode are ergonomic and are on the handlebar for ease of use.

And in the PW range there is a removable central LCD display with a remote control on the handlebar that allows you to access the different functions. The rest of the range incorporates display A, not removable with the remote included in the display. Its simple and compact lines guarantee a use suited to the user’s needs.

Functions: - Information about range, battery capacity, time, speed, total distance or trip distance. - Selection of the assistance mode. - Switch lights on/off. - Accelerator for up to 6 km/h. - USB charging port.

XENION 5 87 The "PowerTube 500" battery is fully integrated into the frame, ensuring clean lines and the appearance of a conventional bicycle. The angle of the motor has been set to 52º, to give it a more efficient design and ensure the optimal height of the bottom bracket axle and a short and dynamic rear. Full Suspension bicycles include a Split Pivot system developed exclusively for BH Bikes and its technology is based on the pedalling efficiency, manoeuvrability and rigidity of the bicycle. With a very similar geometry to the Lynx, an advanced steering angle of 68º, a seat angle of 73º, a short rear that ensures a better dynamic riding position and notably facilitates handling during descents. The Purion display offers all of the basic information at the click of a thumb. It works as an on-board computer with maximum efficiency and accuracy.

"POWERTUBE" SYSTEM

The battery is installed through the top of the diagonal tube in the Xenion range. Its “PowerTube System” enables the shapes and aesthetics of a traditional bike. The internal wiring is channelled along the diagonal tube through inner tubes

speciﬁcally developed in the extrusion, avoiding any type of friction. The extruded aluminium body of the battery provides optimal heat dissipation from the cells, extending its service life.

The relative position of the less lightweight parts of the system (motor and battery) enables a low centre of gravity, guaranteeing a reactive and stable bike.

EVO 6 99 Evo bicycles, with their “TS System” which fully integrates the battery in the frame, were groundbreaking when they were launched and gave rise to a new range of e-bikes. The Evo range is still evolving every year to offer improved features and performance. New features are included in the 2019 range, such as the Evo LifeStyle, which incorporate the light and display integrated in the stem with a compact and ergonomic design. The optimised rear motor for greater efﬁciency, a longer range and improved integration. It has a thru axle that facilitates wheel removal and the motor connector’s attachment makes it easier to connect or disconnect. The electronic components have been oversized to signiﬁcantly increase its peak power and rated torque.

The BH patented “TS System” integrates the battery in the diagonal tube of the frame and enables easy Turn & Slide extraction. Access to the battery through the top of the diagonal tube provides great ergonomics for the user when it comes to handling it. The internal wiring is installed in the diagonal tube through inner tubes speciﬁcally developed during the frame extrusion. It has a extruded aluminium body that enables heat dissipation from the cells and it is seamlessly incorporated into the frame, blending in with its design. The charging port is located on one side of the diagonal tube and allows it to be charged either without having to remove the battery, or from the battery itself. There are 2 types of batteries: 600 Wh for the Pro range, 500 Wh for the Standard range, with an energy density above 170 Wh/kg.

It is a 350 W compact geared motor that ensures optimal integration without a visual impact and coupling with no loss in performance: Standard Q factor and a conventional groupset (double or triple chain ring).

AUTOMATIC CARE SYSTEM The integrated batteries incorporate a high performance BMS (Battery Management System) offering a very controlled consumption and lengthening the useful life of the battery in the case of not being used for long periods. The deep sleep mode is automatically activated and allows for a battery with just 10% of its charge to be recharged up to 400 days later.

The electronic components in the Evo motor have been oversized to increase the torque by 20%, obtaining peak powers of 860 W and a maximum torque of 140 Nm on the bottom bracket axle. The high-efﬁciency 48 V voltage, reduces energy losses in the circuit by 25%, compared with an equivalent 36 V system, and it reduces electrical noise and increases

efﬁciency performance by 91%, thus increasing its range. It enables the use of a conventional groupset – double chain ring – and offers no resistance in «no assistance» mode.. It has a 6 km/h throttle. The rear motor has a quick-release thru axle that makes it easier to change the inner tube in the event of a puncture. And the motor connector’s attachment makes it easier to connect or disconnect. Assistance up to 25 km/h and throttle up to 6 km/h.

The Pro models include a compact and removable central LCD display, and a new ergonomic and highly functional remote control. The Standard models include a nonremovable side LCD display. These are multifunction displays that include the following functions: • Autonomy information, battery capacity in %, time, speed, total or journey distance. • Assistance mode. • Switch lights on/off. • Accelerator for up to 6 km/h. • Wheel size adjustments. • Km/Miles selector. • Motor selection (Only AWD models)

Extended warranties on the battery 2 year Warranty for the entire EMOTION range; components and battery. Two extended warranties on the battery model: • Extended warranty +1: 3 years for battery (€150 retail price). • Extended warranty +2: 4 years for battery (€300 retail price).

Emotion extended warranty conditions 1. The extended warranty speciﬁes that it covers the BH EMOTION electric bicycle battery. It also states that it is governed by the laws of the country in which it is purchased and it may only be applied to bicycles acquired at an authorised European BH EMOTION retailer.

5. The bicycle and the battery should be taken to an authorised BH EMOTION retailer of the country in which it was purchased in order to make a warranty claim. The bicycle must be fully assembled and the original invoice must be provided along with the purchase date (it should be kept in a safe place).

2. Batteries are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a 3 year period (extended warranty +1) or 4 year period (extended warranty +2), starting from the date on which it is purchased by the buyer from the authorised BH EMOTION retailer.

6. Following an in-depth review of the battery in question, all warranties are subject to the decision made by our engineers concerning the nature of the fault.

3. This extended warranty does not mean that the battery will not malfunction or that it will be last for an indeﬁnite period. It only implies that the battery is covered by the extended warranty, as set forth in the corresponding conditions. 4. This extended warranty only applies to the original buyer of a BH EMOTION electric bicycle and may not be transferred to any subsequent owners.

7. This extended warranty will be cancelled and rendered ineffective, in the following instances: - Improper use. - Negligent use. - When it is hired out. - For use in competition of any kind. - Repairs and/or maintenance. - Changes and/or modiﬁcations. - Accidents. This extended warranty only covers batteries which were fully assembled when purchased and put together at an authorised

BH EMOTION retailer, or any other point of sale which has the express authorisation of BH EMOTION to market its bicycles. 8. This warranty does not cover: - Damage arising from faulty assembly and maintenance and/or the installation of pieces and accessories which are not compatible with the BH EMOTION bicycle. - Damage suffered by the original buyer of the bicycle, regardless of how the damage was caused. - Damage caused by the original buyer of the bicycle to third parties, regardless of how the damage was caused. - Gradual deterioration of the battery in the course of its intended use. 9. All labour expenses related to the application of the warranty are to be met by the owner of the bicycle. During the period of application of the warranty, BH will repair all batteries or, if necessary, will replace the battery with another of the same model or the most similar model from those available.
