The Table Read Sessions

Thu 30 March 7.30pm, Thu 27 April 7.30pm, Thu 25 May 7.30pm & Thu 22 June 7.30pm*

Join us for a unique theatre experience each month, as you take your seat as part of the very first live audience of a brand new play.

Throughout 2023, in partnership with The Playwright’s Laboratory, we are working with theatre makers to develop new pieces of theatre. Each month, our panel select one play and work alongside the creator as they bring this to life with professional actors at a monthly table read.

For theatre lovers, this is a fantastic opportunity to experience new work at the very initial stages. Each play reading will be followed by an audience Q&A session where you will have your chance to comment on what you liked, or indeed disliked, about the play. This vital feedback is then taken by the writer to develop their play further. Find out more on our website at www.thecorecorby.com/table-sessions

Are you a theatre maker with a new play in development? Would you like your play to be considered for a Table Read? Find out how to get involved on page 25.

Pinocchio is carved on stage, brushes become a fox and the shadow of two saws transforms into a giant shark. An element of improvisation makes each performance unique to its audience.

Puppetry, shadows, illusion and specially composed music combine to create a show with something for all ages; it’s inventive, visually and verbally witty, with a big heart.
