Based on the popular Rodgers and Hammerstein stage musical, the film follows a carousel barker who is granted permission to return to Earth 15 years after his death for one day as he attempts to make amends to his widow and their daughter.

Cat assists with running Q-Film, Northampton’s LGBTQIA+ film group. She is also the chair of QStory, who are organising a local LGBTQIA+ book festival, taking place this September.

DEMENTIA-FRIENDLY

Everyone is welcome at our Relaxed Screenings. The screenings are subtly adapted to create a welcoming environment for people with a range of conditions in the neuro-diverse community and for those who prefer a more relaxed cinema experience. There will be no adverts or trailers before the film and we’ll turn down the sound and keep the lights at a low level. Audience members will be able to move around the screen and make noise, and there will be a safe space for customers to use if they need to leave the screening. Tickets are the standard price and families are welcome at age-appropriate screenings. Upcoming Relaxed screenings:

Dementia-Friendly screenings are open to all and offer people living with dementia, including young onset dementia, the chance to enjoy a classic film in a relaxed and supportive environment. Tickets are standard price, with one free companion ticket.
