What is the story? This is one of those images where the viewer’s imagination plays with the shadows and constructs its own scenario. There is nothing clear or sharp and, as the title suggests, no connection between the two figures. They are both caught in the same mysterious half-light, and therefore a connection, however tenuous, is implied. The film noir treatment enhances the atmosphere of threat and the rather unsettling feeling that something awful could happen. i found the image intriguing in that it left me with several avenues of interpretation to explore. Super!
