3. Teej Festival, Jaipur Teej Festival is a highly revered festival in Rajasthan, particularly Jaipur and is celebrated on the onset of monsoon. A festival entirely dedicated to women, Teej is an auspicious occasion and women pray for the long life of their husbands on this day. Women generally keep fast on this day, make mehandi designs on hands, sing, dance and indulge in fun activities and later enjoy Ghewar and Malpuas. 4. Gangaur Festival, Jaipur Another auspicious occasion is Ganguar which is celebrated to worship goddess Parvati. Royal procession of Gangaur is organised in the cities of Jaipur and Udaipur with all pomp and show and tourist come here to witness it. The procession consists of elephants, camels, chariots, palanquins and people dancing and singing folk songs with musical instruments.
5. Jaipur Literature Festival One of the biggest festivals in the world for all the literature lovers, the Jaipur Literature Festival is organized in the month of January for 5 days.
