Leticia Moore and Aniyah Lanae Williams are a motherdaughter pair who started going viral last year for their TikTok videos. Both are co-owners of Kidz Talent Academy in Long Beach, Calif. But when the pandemic hit and the lockdown happened they were forced to close down. To overcome quarantine boredom, the pair started making TikTok videos together. The two have done routines to everything from Cardi B to Saweetie to Jade and Bobby Brown. They’re the pair you need to watch if you’re looking for that next dance challenge to try! Today, they have over 870,000 followers and over a million views on TikTok and growing! Tish and Aniyah also act and are writing a television show! Together, they've been each other’s inspiration and have fun doing it.

What is it like creating and working together as mother and daughter? ANIYAH: Working with my mom, it's been really inspiring, also a challenge. We've always been very, very close. I tell her everything, she knows everything. But when you work with somebody that's so close to you, we do bump heads a lot. On a day to day, we might fight when we're making a video, and then after we're done, we're like, hey, so do you want to eat?

If social media was out in your day... TISH: If social media was out when I was growing up, oh my goodness! I graduated in the late 80's and everything when hip-hop was poppin. But I'm so glad it wasn't you know. It gave me a chance to have my good times and bad times without it being on social media.

If you could do a TikTok video with anyone... ANIYAH: Aaliyah, if she was alive. TISH: I love Oprah. Like that would be so cool.

What makes you a Royal Woman? ANIYAH: What makes me a Royal Woman is that I never give up. Like when I have my heart set on something. I will keep mashing on it, chasing after it until I get there. It might take me a while and might, you know, stumble along the way and take a break. But once I have my mind set I will not do that.

TISH: What makes me a Royal Woman is that I’m very determined, highly motivated. I pretty much don't take no for an answer sometimes. And if a door closes, I'm gonna find another door and go through it…When I see a failure, it just teaches me and I grow from it. And I try to teach her [Aniyah] the same thing, so I pretty much never give up.

Don’t let the ‘situationship’ trends and toxic Instagram memes fool you. Young Black love and marriage are still winning in these streets! On July 7, the ‘Dearly Beloved’ wedding showcase took place at 7th & Grove in Tampa, FL. The showcase spotlighted local awardwinning, Black-owned wedding and event vendors, and photographers in the Tampa Bay area. It included a fashion show, cocktail hour, live music, hor d’oeuvres and ended with an impromptu sparkling reception and a rose petal dance floor that guests danced the night away on. The event was a collaborative effort between wedding photographer, Ashley Canay, Jamaris Glenn, the owner of 7th and Grove, and Victoria King, the founder of Royal Events and Services. “Dearly Beloved is a platform that redefines what Tampa bridal is and has been for a long time,” Glenn tells RoyalTee. “Fresh young Black talent exists and they bring a different perspective to the wedding arena. Inspiration stems from our culture. The way we eat, gather and commune at weddings gives homage to our past and lights the path to our future rituals.” It was also an opportunity to shine a light on the local Black-wedding and event industry in the Tampa Bay area. Canay is part of Tampa’s Black Wedding and Events Network. She took the lead on the showcase, says the images of fellow creatives inspired her to create the event, which took almost a year to come to fruition. “I knew if they [Black vendors] came together, they could create magic,” Canay tells RoyalTee. This fall, Tampa’s Black Wedding and Events Network is planning a Black wedding expo.. Let’s hope to see more events like this in other cities!

I want women to

also know that I'm with you. This is not easy. But I also feel like I don't need to just have one or the other. I can do both. And I'm tired as hell, but I could do both.

I've dealt with my fair share of

anxiety. I've dealt with postpartum; I've dealt with a bunch of different things. And it's best to just mentally keep yourself in a great place and understand that.

“ I feel like I walked into the booth and was back as a 14-year-old. Like, literally, if not better now, because I have more life

experience. .

I feel like Penny,

especially now, would be one of those people marching outside. She would be one of those people that's speaking up for herself and the people around her that look like her and even people who

don't look like her.

The best advice

someone ever told me was not to compare myself to others. And that's still something that I feel like we all struggle with, especially in the world of social media because everyone posts their best

picture.
