The Laurels ~ An ideal location for ease of communication into either London or the country. Borough Green is situated on the A25 between the larger towns of Sevenoaks 6.8 miles to the West and Maidstone 13.3 miles to the East. This traditional Kent village will appeal to those seeking the feel of country living with the convenience of a village location, but with easy access to London and the M25, with London Victoria only 46 minutes by train from the local main line station only half a mile away. Borough Green has all the local shops you would require such as a butchers, grocers, a hairdressers, bakery, news agents and a local convenience store. There are also pubs and a cafe. The village is also served by a doctors surgery and a Lloyds Pharmacy. Nearby Sevenoaks, just a short drive away, offers more extensive retail facilities and it has a modern shopping centre with all the usual facilities and major retail names. The Laurels is situated an equal distance walk between Borough Green Primary School (4 to 11 years old) and Wrotham School, a popular coeducational day school for pupils aged 8 to 11.

There are also good nursery facilities within the village. For Grammar schools, Maidstone and Tonbridge provide a good source of schooling for both boys and girls, plus local independent schools are also on hand. The village is very active if you want to get involved and has: Football, Cricket, Tennis, Bowls and Badminton clubs, as well as Keep Fit and Dancing groups. There is also a new high specification local Health and Fitness Spa just a twenty minute walk from The Laurels. Kent is called the Garden of England and the stretch of idyllic countryside around the village on the Northern edge of the Weald is particularly pleasant. Open countryside offers quiet walks and there is a renowned walk from Borough Green to Ightham Mote, (which skirts bluebell woods), an Elizabethan Manor House with an oak wood and an iron age fort. Just minutes from the Laurels there are a wealth of picturesque areas to explore.
