The program features short bios and photos of the groups, as well as a variety of classic ads from the period. In fine condition, with light handling wear. Includes an extremely rare ticket sub for the March 12th show. worn by an extra during the filming of the AC/DC music video ‘Are You Ready’ at London’s Wembley Stadium in April 1991, with the off-white snapback AC/DC logo cap signed on the brim in various colored ballpoint and felt tip by Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams, and Chris Slade. The full-length snap-button boiler suit (108 cm, likely size large) is stamped “AC/DC” on the right chest, and the rest of the suit is covered with large arrow-like stamp marks. In very good to fine condition, with some staining to the cap. Original color Island Records promotional poster for the Catch a Fire album by Bob Marley and the Wailers, 20 x 30, signed prominently on the reverse in ballpoint, “Jah Rasta Fari, Prosperity, Bob Marley,” “Aston Family Man Barrett,” “Peter Tosh, Love Jah,” and “Bunny.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds and heavy overall creasing. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA, and a detailed letter of provenance from the original recipient, who states that she obtained the autographs in person before the band played at the Coach House in Southampton, England, on May 29, 1973.
The presence of “Jah,” penned in large letters by both Marley and Tosh, refers to the ‘God’ of the Rastafarian faith, a central being who partially resides within every individual. Marley and Tosh were devout followers of Rastafarianism, and their music and social impact did much to grow the religion in the 1960s and 1970s. According to Marley: ‘Rastafari not a culture, it’s a reality...We Jah people can make it work...I don’t stand for black man’s side, I don’t stand for white man’s side, I stand for God’s side.’ Starting Bid $1000
