Theoppositionpartiesaccuseprimeminister(PM)NarendraModiofcomplicityinthealleged financial crimes of Indian oligarch Gautam Adani who is in news for a series of alleged corporatefrauds.

ArecentinvestigativereportofHindenburgResearchaccusedAdaniofcommitingoneofthe biggestcorporatefraudsintheworld.InthereportreleasedinJanuary,Hindenburgsaidthat the Adani Group has engaged in a brazenstockmanipulationandaccountingfraudscheme overthecourseofdecades

Since Modi is not answering opposition questions in parliament on the Adani issue, the opposition leaders decided to file a formal complaint at the ED office in Delhi so that a criminalinvestigationcouldbelaunchedagainstAdaniandhisnexuswithModi

When theheavypoliceforcedeployedbytheModigovernmentdidnotallowtheopposition leaderstosubmittheircomplaintattheEDoffice,Congresssaysithasemailedthecomplaint lettersignedbyoppositionmemberstotheED.

The 4-page complaint letter dated March 15 alleges that the Adani Grouphasestablisheda network of offshore shell companies and offshore funds to artificially inflate its stock valuationsandcommitotherfraudsincludingmoneylaundering.

It is also believed that Modi has been helping Adani clandestinely with huge public money raisedthroughdubiousgovernmentschemessuchasthePM-CARESFundthatModilaunched secretlyandthecorruptionmoneymadeinthecontroversialRafaledealtobuyRafalefighter aircra. Like the ongoing Adanicase,thesecaseswerenotprobedproperlyasthecomplicit courts refused to order investigation into these cases of malfeasance and the investigating agenciesdonottakeanydecisionthatmaydispleaseModi.

Also, the China connection in theModani(portmanteauforModiandAdani)casecannotbe ruled out. A March 2, 2023 report reveals that Adaniʼs business empire is deeplyconnected with China, as an entity related to the Adani Group financially supported a company that violated sanctions imposed by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on trade with NorthKorea.

Accordingtothereport,thesanctionedcompanywasownedbysonsofChangChung-Ling,an Adani Group associate who appeared in the HindenburgreportforhisdirectorshipofAdani entities.

Therefore, Congress and otheroppositionpartiesshoulddemandaprobeintoModiʼssecret relationswithChinaasitisbelievedthattheChineseoccupationoftheIndianterritoryispart ofasecretdealtoselltheIndianlandtoChinainordertoraisemoneyforAdaniʼsbusinesses

Itisallegedthatinquidproquodeals,AdanialsohelpsModifinanciallytowinelectionswith his money secretly paid through electoral bonds As the Supreme Court of India mostly colludes with the Modi government, it is not taking a decision to bring transparency to politicalcampaignfinancingwithelectoralbonds.

WhiletheSupremeCourtoendishonestlyrescuestheModigovernmentfromsuchcrises,on March 2 the top court formed a perfunctory committee which is expected to exonerate the

embattled Adani Group from all the alleged financial frauds reported by credible global agenciesandmediaorganizations.

The opposition parties are demanding an investigation into the Adani Groupʼs dubious business deals by a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). But the JPC willnotbetheright route to catch the culprits in the ModanicasebecausetheJPCwillbedominatedbyModiʼs colleagues.

The opposition leaders and the workers in opposition parties should hold constant street protests to get their complaints against Adani Group registered with the Indian law-enforcement agencies. Simultaneously, they should explore the international political andjudicialforumstogetthiscaseofgrandcorruptioninvestigatedandprosecuted.

Dishonest U.S. Leaders Ignore Corruption and Human Rights Abuses in India

While the U.S. State Department officials have not given a proper response to my specific queries,IurgethemagaintotakelegalactionagainsttheautocraticIndianauthorities.

The U.S. leaders are dishonest. While they selectively criticize corruption and humanrights violationsinsomecountries,theyignorethesameorworsecrimesinIndia.

The U.S. – which is the self-styled promoter of democracy in the world – has been downplaying the demise of democracy in India. The U.S. leaders frequently hobnob with India's prime minister Narendra Modi and his colleagues despite their regular criticism of Modiʼsautocraticidiosyncrasies.

TheUS,infact,exploitshumanrightsabusesinIndiaforitscommercialinterests,astheUS believes that India is a big market for itsproductsandservices.Themodusoperandiofthe U.S.leadersistosubtlyintimidateModiwiththeaccusationsofcorruptionandhumanrights violations,andthenforcehimtobuyAmericanproductsorservicesworthbillionsofdollars.

In order to take the U.S. administrationʼs responseonwhyitignorescorruptionandhuman rights abuses in India, I sent the followingquestionnairetotheU.S.DepartmentofStateon March18,2023 AlthoughIhadrequestedtheStateDepartmenttogiveaspecificresponse,as expecteditgavemeatotallyambiguousreplyonMarch20.Itshowsthatbecauseofitsselfish interests,theU.S.administrationignoresstatecrimesinIndia.

Whiletherearemultipleglobalreportsofextremecorruptionandhumanrightsviolationsin India including Kashmir, what action does the U.S.plantotakeagainstIndianrulers?Isthe US driven by its commercial interests that it ignores grand corruption and human rights abusesinIndia?

Why can't the U.S. use laws such as the Global Magnitsky Human Rights AccountabilityAct against Indian rulers, as the Act targets perpetrators of serious human rights abuse and corruptionaroundtheworld?

The Indian Government recently banned a BBC documentary and then raided the BBCʼs offices,andIndiaisranked150thinthepressfreedomindex.

Blinken has raised concerns about the rise of rights abuses in India lastyearwithoutgoing into specific incidents. Are you concerned byIndiaʼstreatmentofminoritiesanddissidents andbythestateofpressfreedominthecountry? Andhaveyouraisedtheseconcernsdirectly withIndiancounterparts?

MS BARCLAY: Thank you very much for the question. As the Secretary said, we raise the difficult issues in all of our conversations with our partners. The U.S. and India regularly consult at the highest levels on democracy and human rights issues. We have and wewill continuetostronglyurgeIndiatoupholditshumanrightsobligationsandcommitments.

Notsurprisingly,wealsoregularlymeetwithcivilsocietybothintheU.S.andinIndiatohear their perspectives and learn from their experiences, and we encourage the Government of Indiatoconsultwiththemaswell.

On the BBC issue, weʼre of course aware of the BBC issuesandwewillcontinuetosupport freepressaroundtheworldandhavecommunicatedthesame.

Meanwhile,initsreportreleasedonMarch20,2023,theU.S.DepartmentofStatehasaccused Indiaofextremehumanrightsviolationsandrampantcorruption.Accordingtothereport,the

statecrimeshappeninginIndiaincludeunlawfulandarbitrarykillings,includingextrajudicial killings by the government or its agents; harsh and life-threatening prison conditions; arbitraryarrestanddetention,arbitraryorunlawfulinterferencewithprivacy;restrictionson freedomofexpressionandmedia,andseriousgovernmentcorruption.

Surprisingly, however, the U.S. which promises to punish corruption and human rights violations in all parts of the world with the aim toprotectdemocraticsystemsisnottaking anypunitiveactionagainsttheautocraticIndianregime.

U.S. Joins Hands with Private Sector to Combat Corruption

The U.S. Department of State has announced that 25 companies have joined the Global InitiativetoGalvanizethePrivateSectorasPartnersinCombatingCorruption(GPS)

In its statement released on March 29, the State Department said Amazon, Anglo American plc, APCO, Cementos Pacasmayo, Crescent Enterprise, Crowell & Moring, Ericsson, Google, Grundfos, Iberdrola, Johnson & Johnson, McDermott, McKinsey, Merck, Novartis, Paul Hastings, Refinitiv, RELX, Rolls-Royce, SABIC, SNC-Lavalin, Tesla, Ulula, Walmart, and Yara havecommittedtojoiningtheGPS.

GPS, a key programunderthePresidentialInitiativeforDemocraticRenewal,isavehiclefor engagingtheprivatesectorasadvocatesfortransparencyandaccountabilityandidentifying and disseminating innovative private sector practices and approaches to combating corruption.

The State Departmentʼs Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement at the DepartmentofState(INL)hascommittedaminimumof$6.5Minfundingtotheinitiative.

Amazon, Novartis, and SNC-Lavalin will participate in Compliance Without Borders, an Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and Basel Institute on Governance initiative, which matches compliance experts with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs)seekingtobuildcapacitytoaddresscorruption-andintegrity-relatedchallenges.

Amazonwillleverageitsproprietarycompliancetoolkitstosupportsmall-andmedium-sized businesses and, alongsideSNC-Lavalin,supportthedevelopmentandimplementationofan INL-funded and OECD-developed Infrastructure Anti-Corruption Toolbox (IACT). IACT will empower actors across the infrastructure value chain to prevent, detect and report corruption. Novartis and SNC-Lavalin will provide independent support to small- and medium-sizeenterprises.Usingnewtoolsitisdevelopingtofacilitatestakeholderagency.

Walmartwillprovideregularanti-corruptioninputfromitsstakeholderbase.Itwillcontribute to GPS capacity building efforts through ongoing work on Digital Tools for Rule of Law & Recovery and channel ongoing workstreams to boost the SDG33 model as a leadership opportunityforcorporatepublicpolicyfunctions.

As part of a commitment to working with local journalists worldwide to improve their understanding of digitalsafetyandcybersecurity,MicrosopartneredwiththeInternational Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) in 2022 to expand a training curriculum for investigativejournalistsontheabuseofstateresourcesinelections.

The training was piloted in October2022inTunisiaandNovember2022inSerbiaamong29 local journalists, and focused on digital safety to help journalists map personal risks, cybersecurity to defendthemselvesonline,andstrengtheningjournalistsʼcapacityforsafely investigatingstateabuseofpublicresources.

AccordingtotheStateDepartment,thistrainingisinhighdemandacrossIFESʼglobalproject portfolioof33countries,andIFESislookingtoconductadditionaltrainingin2023and2024. What Is the Crime of Jailed Aam Aadmi Party Politician Manish Sisodia?

EithertheAAPpoliticiansarefoolishortheyarehidingthefactthatitisacaseofwhite-collar crimeinwhichonlycircumstantialevidenceisrequiredtocatchandconvictacriminal.

ADelhicourtonApril3extendedjudicialcustodyofAamAadmiParty(AAP)politicianManish Sisodia till April 17 in the liquor mafia case. Sisodia - a former minister in the Delhi Governmentofchiefminister(CM)ArvindKejriwal-willstayinjailforhisallegedcrimesand actsofcorruption.

Sisodia and AAP politicians are misleading the gullible public by claiming that the investigatingagenciescouldnotfindtheembezzledmoneyathishomeandthereisnoother proof of his criminality. Either the AAP politicians are foolishortheyaredeliberatelyhiding thefactthatitisacaseofwhite-collarcrimeinwhichonlycircumstantialevidenceisrequired tocatchandconvictacriminal.Andalsomoneyisnotsupposedtoberecovereddirectlyfrom theaccused.

Such white-collar criminals hide their money through money laundering routes and the investigatingagenciestracktheseroutesaertakingtheaccusedpersonsintheircustody.In Sisodiaʼs case, there are numerous proofs of his involvement in the liquor scandal. For example,thedestructionofmobilephonestodestroythedigitalevidenceandtheattemptto change the liquor policywiththeintentiontocausealosstothestateexchequer-andwith thepossibilityofmisappropriationofpublicmoney-isaverystrongcircumstantialevidence againstSisodia.

Also, the laws to deal with emerging financial crimes including corruption allow the investigating agencies to arrest and interrogate the accused for the purposeofprosecution and subsequent conviction just on the basis of circumstantial evidence.Theselawsinclude the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (PC ACT), Chapter IX of the IndianPenalCode(IPC),

1860, Vigilance Manual of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), prevention of grand corruptionandrent-seekingregulations.

Therefore, the investigating agencies have taken the right action to arrest and imprison Sisodia. In fact, the evidence against Sisodia is so clear andobviousthatbynowheshould havebeenconvictedandjailedformanyyears.

The courts should not grant bail to such accused persons because corruption is a farmore heinouscrimethanevenmurderbecausecorruptionhasitsdevastatingimpactontheentire society. Rather, the courts shouldallowthecustodialtortureofarrestedpersonssothatthe stolenmoneycouldberecoveredfromthem Therefore,KejriwalandotherAAPpoliticiansare making false claims when they say that Sisodia is innocent and blame the agencies for arrestingSisodia.

DISMISSALOFKEJRIWALGOVERNMENT

AsitisallegedthatKejriwalandotherAAPpoliticiansarealsoinvolvedinmassivecorruption scandals in Delhi, opposition parties are demanding Kejriwalʼs resignation and dismissalof hisgovernment.Theoppositionparties–BharatiyaJanataParty(BJP)andCongress–inDelhi havebeenrunningaggressivecampaignstodemandtheresignationofKejriwal,astheyclaim thatKejriwalisthekingpininallthescandalshappeninginDelhi.

In the Delhi Assembly on March 17, BJP legislators raised the issue of corruption in the Kejriwalgovernmentanddemandedhisresignationandterminationofhisgovernment.

AsthepoliticalturmoilisincreasingexponentiallyinDelhiwhichhasbecomethecorruption capital of India, it is expected that the Kejriwal government will soon be dismissed so that peoplecouldliveinacorruption-freeenvironment.

Under Article 356 of the Constitution of India, if a state government is not functioning according to Constitutional provisions, theCentralgovernmentcandismissthegovernment and take control of the state governance. In such a case, the governor appointed by the Centralgovernmentbecomestheexclusiveadministrativeheadofthestate.

SisodiawasarrestedonFebruary26bytheCBIforhisinterrogationinamassiveliquorscam case in Delhi. In a statement released on February 26, CBI said that Sisodia was arrested because he gave evasive replies and did not cooperate in the investigation despite being confrontedwithevidence.

ItislikelythatsoonotherAAPpoliticians-includingKejriwal-maybejailedforvariouscrimes and acts of corruption that they may be committing secretly. In fact, under the Kejriwal government,DelhihasbecomethecorruptioncapitalofIndia

Similarly, AAPpoliticiansinPunjabledbyCMBhagwantMannmaybearrestedandjailedas Sisodiaʼs dubious Delhi liquor policy is being implemented in Punjabalso Thepresidentof the Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD)SukhbirSinghBadalhasurgedthePunjabGovernortoholda probeintotheallegedRs.500-croreliquorpolicyscamcommittedbytheAAPGovernmentin thestate.

IMPRISONMENTOFAAPPOLITICIANS

Sisodia-whoistheprimeaccusedintheliquorscandal-shamelesslywentinaprocessionto the CBI office on February 26 with a crowd of AAP supporters who shouted slogans in his favourasifheisachampioninsomecompetition.

In a dramatic manner, Sisodia also went to Raj Ghat - a memorial dedicated to Mahatma GandhiinDelhi-toostensiblyshowthathefollowsthetruthfulpathofMahatmaGandhiand heisinnocentinthiscase.

Insteadofshowingproofofhisinnocence,SisodiaandhisaccomplicesinAAPareresortingto allsortsofdeceptivetrickstomisleadtheinvestigatingagencieswhichareprobingtheliquor scandalandotherscamsinwhichSisodiaisallegedlyinvolved.

Surprisingly,Sisodiaalsosaidthatheisnotafraidofgoingtojail,becauseheknowsthatjails provide all types of luxurious facilities to top politicians whoareimprisonedfortheircrime andcorruptioncases

Another jailed AAP leader Satyendar Jain - who is a colleague of Sisodia - is enjoyingaVIP treatmentincludingfull-bodymassageinsidethejailcell.Jainwassenttojaillastyearforhis alleged involvement in a serious money launderingcase.Obviously,Sisodiaisnotscaredof goingtojailbecausejailisakindofpicnicspotforAAPleaders.Thereisalsoapossibilitythat in the night when other prisoners are locked inside their cells, the corrupt politicians are releasedbycorruptjailofficialssothattheycouldenjoynightlifeandcomebacktojailaera fewhours.

In fact, conventional imprisonment is not the right punishment for corrupt politicians and bureaucrats.TheyshouldratherbecagedinaprisonsuchastheGuantanamoBaydetention camp,whichisaU.S.militaryprisonknownforitsharshtreatmentofprisoners.

FALSESTATEMENTS

Earlier, in a tweet written in Hindi, Sisodia had said on February 18 that the CBI had summoned him for questioning Without any substantiation, he addedinhistweetthatthe law-enforcementagenciesfailedtofindanyproofofhiswrongdoingandheisbeingstopped fromprovidingeducationinschools.

Sisodia-whowasaneducationministerintheKejriwalgovernment-hasbeentryingtohide behind school education which is so bad in Delhi that the studentsfailtolearnanythingin schoolsthatcouldhelpthemintheircareers.Sisodiahasdestroyedthecareersofmillionsof studentsashefailedtoprovidequalityeducationinschools.

In a related development, both Sisodia and Jain who were ministers in the Kejriwal government resigned from their positions on February 28 and Kejriwal has accepted their resignations.Now,insteadoftellingthetruthabouttheliquorscam,Sisodiaismischievously divertingthetopictoschooleducationalthoughheistheprimeaccusedintheliquorscandal

As most politicians in AAP are crooks, reports suggest that in order to hoodwink the investigating agencies they are exploiting school children who are being coerced to demonstrateinfavourofliquorscamaccusedManishSisodia.

TheseinnocentchildrenarebeingallegedlyforcedbyAAPaccomplicestoappearinvideosto demandthereleaseofSisodia.Earlier,theEnforcementDirectorate(ED)-whichinvestigates

seriousfinancialcrimecases–hadrevealedthat140mobilephoneswerechangedbyover30 personsallegedlyinvolvedintheliquorscamofDelhi.

The ED claimed in a special PreventionofMoneyLaunderingAct(PMLA)courtinNovember lastyearthatSisodiaandothersinvolvedintheexcise/liquorscamhavechangedatotal140 phoneswiththeintentiontodestroydigitalevidenceduringtherelevantperiod.Thevalueof thesephonesisestimatedtobeRs1.20crore.

Sisodia has been telling lies frequently to escape the legal dragnet. Aer attending a CBI hearing on October 17 last year in this case, Sisodia claimedwithoutanyevidencethatCBI askedhimtoquitAAPandjoinBharatiyaJanataParty(BJP)whichwillmakehimDelhiCM.

Among his lies,SisodiaalsosaidthatCBIhasadmittedthatthereisnocaseagainsthimbut heisbeingharassedlikehiscolleagueSatyendarJain,whoisinjailforthepastmanymonths inamoneylaunderingcase.

ButinastatementreleasedonOctober17,CBIrefutedalltheclaimsofSisodiaandsaidthat SisodiawasquestionedstrictlyontheallegationsintheFIR(firstinformationreport)andthe evidence collected so far during the course of investigation. CBI added that Sisodiaʼs statementwillbeverifiedinduecourseandfurtheractionwillbetakenasperrequirements ofinvestigation.

LIQUORSCAMCASE

Aer the August 19 raids by the CBI at Sisodiaʼs residence, he and his AAP accomplicesare telling flagrant lies with the aim to protect him in the liquormafiacollusioncase Sisodia–who was a deputy CM under Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal – is facing serious allegations of corruption, criminal conspiracy, and falsification of governmentaccounts,whiletheCBIhas filedanFIRinwhichSisodiaʼsnameisatthetopofalistof15accusedinthiscase.

InJuly2022,theLt.Governor(LG)VinaiSaxena–whoistheadministrativeheadofDelhi–had asked the CBItoprobeSisodiaʼssurreptitiouslinkswiththeliquormafiathatledtomassive corruptioninthesaleofliquorshoplicencesinthecity.

AnAugust22articleinTheNewIndianExpressdetailsdifferentaspectsofthecasealongwith the names of the accused who allegedly colluded with Sisodia to run the criminal liquor networkinvolvedinanestimatedcorruptionofhundredsofcroresofrupees.

Now,insteadofansweringthemediaquestionsrelatedtoDelhiliquorscaminwhichSisodia is allegedly involved, the AAP members are unsuccessfully trying to divert the case to unrelated issues such as Delhi school education that Sisodia was handling. In their media

The article without any research falsely praises Sisodia andDelhischooleducation.Butthe articleneverexoneratedSisodiaintheliquormafiascandal.Now,Sisodiaandhisaccomplice Satyendar Jain should be incarcerated in a harsh detention camp or a concentrationcamp outsideDelhisothattheydonotenjoytheluxurioustreatmentinDelhiʼsTiharjail.

More importantly, all the money (possibly hundreds of crores of rupees) embezzled in the scandals along with heavy interest should be recovered from them and they shouldnotbe allowedtoworkinanypublicofficeaertheprisonsentence.

The AAP politicians should also be interrogated sternly in ordertoknowthenamesoftheir accomplices in AAPorexternaloutfitswhoareinvolvedintheliquorscamorotherscandals so that all of them could be similarly convicted and jailed. If Sisodia or Jain reveals that Kejriwal has been leading this crime enterprise clandestinely, then Kejriwal will abandon themasheorderedtothrowoutSisodiaʼsfamilyfromhisofficialresidence. ArecentinvestigativereportofHindenburgResearchaccusedAdaniofcommitingoneofthe biggestcorporatefraudsintheworld.InthereportreleasedinJanuary,Hindenburgsaidthat the Adani Group has engaged in a brazenstockmanipulationandaccountingfraudscheme overthecourseofdecades TheoppositionpartiesaredemandinganinvestigationintoAdani Groupʼs dubiousbusinessdealsbyaJointParliamentaryCommittee(JPC).ButModiandhis Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been maintaining a stony silence on theAdaniissueand notformingtheJPCtoinvestigatethecase.

Kejriwal said that Modi is not forming the JPC because he will be exposed and the investigationwillrevealthatModiistherealculpritinthisgrandcorruptionscandalofbillions of dollars.ItisallegedthatModiisdivertinghismoneytoinvestinAdaniGroupthroughthe money-launderingroutesandoff-shoreshellcompanies.

Giving examples of Modiʼs corruption, Kejriwal said that Modi has grabbed massive local businesscontractsofcoalandairportsthroughAdaniwhoisModiʼsaccompliceinthecrime

Further,KejriwalrevealedthatModiʼswealthincreasedfromRs.50,000crorein2014whenhe becamethePMtoawhoppingRs.11.5lakhcroreinjust7years.HealsoexplainedhowModi isembezzlingpublicmoney.

Kejriwal said that before Modi became the PM, India was under a total debt of Rs. 55 lakh crore in 67 years. But under Modiʼs 9 years, the debt has spiralled toRs.85lakhcrore.This debt,accordingtoKejriwal,isgoingtoModiʼsownpocketasheisthemostcorruptPM.

Moreover, Kejriwal said that the tax money collected from ordinary citizens first goes to Adaniʼs businesses and from there it goes to Modiʼs personal coffers. That is why Modi opposesanyinvestigationinwhichheisanaccused.

Forexample,Modiscuttledinvestigationsintomulti-billiondollarscandalssuchastheRafale dealandthePM-CARESFundthatModiestablishedsecretly.

Also, the China connection in theModani(portmanteauforModiandAdani)casecannotbe ruled out. A March 2, 2023 report reveals that Adaniʼs business empire is deeplyconnected with China, as an entity related to the Adani Group financially supported a company that violated sanctions imposed by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on trade with NorthKorea.

Accordingtothereport,thesanctionedcompanywasownedbysonsofChangChung-Ling,an Adani Group associate who appeared in the HindenburgreportforhisdirectorshipofAdani entities.

Therefore,thereisaneedtoinvestigateModiʼssecretrelationswithChinaasitisbelievedthat theChineseoccupationoftheIndianterritoryispartofasecretdealtoselltheIndianlandto China inordertoraisemoneyforAdaniʼsbusinesses.Itisallegedthatinquidproquodeals, Adani also helps Modi financially to win elections with his money secretly paid through electoralbonds AstheSupremeCourtofIndiamostlycolludeswiththeModigovernment,it is not taking a decision to bring transparency to politicalcampaignfinancingwithelectoral bonds.

Kejriwal said that some foreign dignitaries falsely praise Modi who is an uneducated and incapable man to get some secret papers signed by him to harm India. He compared this practice to the East India Company which hoodwinked foolish Indian kings to eventually establishtheBritishempireinIndia.

A few daysago,KejriwalʼsAAPlaunchedapoliticalcampaignunderthebanner“ModiHatao Desh Bachao” or remove Modi to save the country. The “Modi HataoDeshBachao”posters havebeenputupinallpartsofDelhi.

THREATSFROMMODI

ButmostBJPleaders,police,courtjudges,andmembersofoppositionpartiesarescaredto raise their voice against Modi.Inthepast,thepeoplewhoopposedModiorhisaccomplices

have either died inmysteriouscircumstancesorwereimprisonedinharshprisonconditions byModi.

They include Haren Pandya, a key witness of Gujarat riots in which Modi was the prime accused, and Gujarat riots whistleblower Sanjiv Bhatt who tried to raise their voice against Modi.

Similarly, most judges must be scared aer witnessing the fate of judge Loya (Brijgopal Harikishan Loya) who had died in mysterious circumstances. In this case, BJP leader Amit Shah–whoisnowtheHomeMinisterofIndia–wastheprimeaccused.Butnoinvestigation orinvestigatingofficercandaretopointthefingeratAmitShahwhocontrolsthepoliceand other law-enforcement agencies. Judges and investigating officers know that if judge Loya candieinaninexplicablemanner,theyalsocanbemadetofacethesamefate.

EarlierithadhappenedintheVyapamscamcaseinwhich,likeAmitShah,anotherBJPleader and Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was an accused. As the investigation into the Vyapam case was progressing, the witnesses and othersfamiliarwith thecasestarteddisappearing.

ASpecialTaskForce(STF)submittedalisttothehighcourtin2015informingthat23people died “unnatural death.” Some media reports claimed that more than 40 people associated withtheVyapamscamhaddiedundermysteriouscircumstances.

Obviously, most witnesses, police officers, and judges will not dare togoagainstthewillof Modiandhisaccomplices.ThismaybethereasonthatModihasbeenacquittedintheGujarat riots case. In all autocratic regimes, the rulers silently control and use courts to get all decisionsintheirfavour.

POLITICALCAREEROFMODI

Infact,Modiʼsentirecareerinpoliticsisfoundedonviolenteventssuchasthetrainburningin Godhra and Gujarat riots of 2002. Such anti-Muslim events helped Modi winvotesofHindu votersinacountrywherenearly80%votersareHindus.

Since Modi is an illiterate and uncivilizedpolitician,hedoesnotdeserveanypositioninthe government. Initially, he would have won in Gujarat with Hindu votes. But at the national level,onlyaminisculefractionofrealHindussupportModiʼsdivisivecommunalactions.

Therefore, since the Lok Sabha election of 2014,ModiandhispartyBJPhavebeenwinning most elections with the selective manipulation of electronic voting machines (EVMs). The

oppositiongroups–includingpoliticalparties,civilsociety,students,andjournalists–areso terrifiedofModiʼsviolentbehaviorthattheydonotchallengehishostileactions.

So, despite unprecedented corruption, inflation, unemployment, and religious animosity underhisrule,Modiwillkeeprunningthecountryasaone-manregime.Inthepast9yearsof hisrule,ModihastarnishedIndiaʼsimageinallpartsoftheworld.

SincetheSupremeCourtjudgesalsodonotdaretoquestionModi,theSupremeCourtoen dishonestlyrescuestheModigovernmentfromdifferentcrises.InordertosaveModifromthe Modi-Adanifraudcase,inMarch2023thetopcourtformedaperfunctorycommitteewhichis expected to exonerate the embattled Adani Group from all the alleged financial frauds reportedbycredibleglobalagenciesandmediaorganizations.

When the opposition parties tried to file acomplaintattheEDofficeonMarch15,theModi governmentdeployedheavypoliceforcetostopthemontheirway.TheModiregimehasalso silencedoppositionleaderofCongressRahulGandhiwhowastryingtoraisehisvoiceinthe parliamentontheModi-Adaniscamcase.

On March 24, the Modi regime managed to expel Rahul Gandhi from parliament. Thus, the Modi-AdanicorruptioncasehasbeenvirtuallybrushedunderthecarpetandonceagainModi willgetoffscot-freeinthiscasetoo.

Now, Kejriwal has mustered courage to expose Modiʼs corruption,butitislikelythathewill havetosoonfaceModiʼsretributionandwrath.
