Machines Beat Men in Lok Sabha Election
For Your Information Now, only voting machines decide the fate of a political party. To ensure the sanctity of the election exercise and save Indian democracy from electoral frauds, the opposition leaders must reject the results delivered by the EVMs.
The autocratic election authorities refuse to accept the fact that even if a single voter has any doubt about the election process, they are supposed to allay that doubt by ensuring transparency in the election systems.
Major opposition political parties in India have been repeatedly complaining about the vulnerability of EVMs. It is also being observed that when EVMs malfunction, they vote only in favor of Modi’s BJP which runs with Lotus election symbol.

Machines Beat Men in Lok Sabha Election of India The opposition parties should start a nationwide agitation on the lines of Mahatma Gandhi’s non-cooperation movement to demand reelection on paper ballots. As expected, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Lok Sabha election to retain power in the country of 1.3 billion people and 900 million voters. Modi will be the PM again.
Every Indian Vote Counts The election results declared on May 23 showed that BJP won 303 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats and BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) got 353 seats to form the government for the second consecutive 5-year term. A party or a group needs 272 seats to win the Lok Sabha election. On the other hand, the main opposition party Congress performed poorly and could win just 52 seats while the Congress-led group United Progressive Alliance (UPA) tottered at 92-seat mark. Despite loud pre-poll promises – including jobs to the youth, cash to the poor, and support to small businesses - by Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Congress lost the election. Moreover, allegations of corruption leveled by Rahul Gandhi against Modi - particularly in the Rafale deal – proved futile and could not give votes and seats to Congress in the election. Modi-led BJP did not have much to boast about its performance during the past 5 years because BJP had failed on all fronts. However, in order to woo the voters, Modi largely attacked Rahul Gandhi’s family saying that Congress is promoting dynastic politics. Modi also harangued about his resolve to firmly deal with the enemy nation Pakistan. It is also alleged that Modi and BJP stage-managed a terror attack on Indian security personnel in the Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir. Many believe that Modi government itself had conspired that attack to win public sympathy and thus electoral advantage. Modi also spread the fear of war with Pakistan in order to win public support in the Lok Sabha election, although there was no possibility of war with the neighboring nation. In an election rally, Modi said loosely without any provocation that India has the nuclear option to attack Pakistan. How Machines Beat Men The election campaigns including rallies by BJP and the opposition parties during the past few months were only theatrical exercises to deceive the public. Those who are familiar with the deceit in Indian politics knew that the flesh-and-blood voters have no role in Indian elections. Now, only voting machines decide the fate of a political party. Since all the election paraphernalia works under the ruling party such as BJP, machines are made to help the ruling party win. It is observed that BJP has been exploiting the vulnerability of electronic voting machines (EVMs) to win different elections. The same was evident in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. Although the results of the election were declared Thursday, May 23, BJP-led NDA had started celebrating the party’s victory and planning for the next 5 years of Modi government a couple of days before the declaration of results on Tuesday, May 21, at New Delhi. Obviously, BJP knew that voters may reject Modi’s party but EVMs won’t. Major opposition political parties in India have been repeatedly complaining about the vulnerability of EVMs. It is also being observed that when EVMs malfunction, they vote only in favor of Modi’s BJP which runs with Lotus election symbol. However, instead of rejecting the EVMs and forcefully demanding the elections on paper ballots, the opposition parties willy-nilly accept EVMs and after losing the elections they keep blaming these machines and the BJP. Most opposition leaders are so weak and naive that they do not understand the functioning of EVMs and how they are manipulated. While the opposition leaders kept holding nationwide rallies to deliver speeches on their plans and denounce Modi’s policies, they ignored the EVM factor. They failed to understand a simple fact that these machines were silently working to vanquish them in the electoral battlefield. Weak Opposition REAL VOTER News Magazine on Politics in India

Today, there is no opposition leader who is smart enough to counter and combat the electronic machines. All opponents of Modi failed to anticipate the extent of damage that machines can cause to them and eventually remove their very existence from the political arena. Modi knows about the naivety and weakness of his opponents and ridiculed them. Recently, Modi said that EVMs are being cursed because his opponents have realized that people of India love Modi and it will not be possible to defeat him and his party BJP. So, he said, they have started finding faults with EVMs. God only knows if people love Modi. But it is certain that machines are instructed to love him. It is largely believed that BJP has tampered with the EVMs to win the election. It is also being alleged that just before the vote counting, the actual machines used in the election were secretly replaced with other machines which had most votes for BJP candidates. The opposition parties complained aggressively about the frauds on EVMs that help BJP win. The leaders of 22 opposition parties – that represent over 75% of Indian voters – met the Election Commission of India (ECI) – a couple of days before the counting to complain about the manipulations of EVMs that favor BJP. The opposition parties that have been constantly opposing EVMs include Congress, All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Communist Party of India (CPI-M), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and others. However, the ECI - which is working in a dubious manner - dismissed the complaints of opposition leaders who submitted a memorandum to the ECI on May 21. They had urged that the verification of Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips of randomly identified 5 polling booths should be done before starting the counting of votes and not after the completion of last round of counting. In the memorandum, the opposition leaders also had demanded that if any discrepancy is found anywhere during the VVPAT verification, 100% counting of paper slips of VVPATs of all polling stations of that assembly segment should be done. However, the ECI - which is controlled by the Modi government – firmly rejected the opposition’s demand and declared that there will be no change in the EVM vote counting procedure. The autocratic election authorities refuse to accept the fact that even if a single voter has any doubt about the election process, they are supposed to allay that doubt by ensuring transparency in the election systems. However, the Indian elections are being held in a totally opaque manner. There is no option for voters to know where there votes have gone. Now, just to ensure the sanctity of the election exercise and save the Indian democracy from electoral frauds, the opposition leaders must reject the results delivered by the EVMs. They should start a nationwide agitation on the lines of Mahatma Gandhi’s non-cooperation movement to demand re-election for the Lok Sabha (as well as state

elections) on paper ballots. If the opposition leaders succumbed now, it will herald an era of their extinction and will eventually ring the death knell for democracy in India.
Attack of the Machines on Democracy in India How EVMs Are Manipulated to Win Elections in India
Top tech experts believe that it is very easy to tamper with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in India and change the election results fraudulently in favor of certain candidates. Role of EVMs in Lok Sabha Election 2019 As the voting for the 2019 Lok Sabha election ended on Sunday (May 19), a number of exit polls showed that Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win again and Modi will be the PM for his second 5-year term. According to the poll analysis, even if BJP did not win 272 seats that are required to form the government, the BJP-led group National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will easily get the majority, giving BJP another chance to rule the country of 1.3 billion people. Although the counting of votes was to take place on May 23, BJP had started celebrating the party’s victory a couple of days before the counting of votes began.
Leaders of Opposition Parties in India Protesting Against EVMs However, the top leaders in the opposition parties were not ready to accept defeat so easily. As expected, they started finding excuses for their imminent defeat. As they have

been complaining for years that BJP tampers with the electronic voting machines (EVMs) to win elections, once again they put the blame on EVMs. The Chief Minister (CM) of West Bengal and Chairperson of All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) Mamata Banerjee, for example, said on May 19 that she does not trust the exit polls that show PM Modi’s BJP will win the Lok Sabha election again. “I don’t trust exit poll gossip. The game plan is to manipulate or replace thousands of EVMs through this gossip. I appeal to all opposition parties to be united, strong and bold. We will fight this battle together,” she tweeted. Mamata Banerjee – who is a fierce critic of Modi – suggested that the fake exit polls that favor Modi and BJP are supposed to hide the manipulation of EVMs which are being misused by BJP to change the election results in its favor. Her assessment was largely right because BJP won approximately the same number of seats that exit polls had predicted. It appeared that BJP knew the number of EVMs that will help BJP win and this data was shared beforehand with media and exit poll groups most of whom are dishonest. H. D. Kumaraswamy - Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka - said that the exit poll surveys on May 19 only reiterated the serious concern of the opposition parties on the misuse of vulnerable EVMs for electoral gains by the ruling party BJP. He added that worldwide even developed countries have opted for traditional polls through paper ballots. Also, Congress president Rahul Gandhi counted a number of reasons – including faulty EVMs - that could result in his party’s crushing defeat. N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh and President, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has repeatedly shown his apprehension on the possible misuse of EVMs by BJP. The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah had said that the EVM used in Indian elections is a chor (thief) machine which can be manipulated to change the outcome of elections. Abdullah, 81, had demanded that the EVMs should be replaced with ballot papers to ensure transparency in elections – particularly the Lok Sabha election. But his demand fell on deaf ears. Major opposition political parties in India have been repeatedly complaining about the vulnerability of EVMs. It is also being observed that when EVMs malfunction, they vote only in favor of Modi’s BJP which runs with Lotus election symbol. Now it is being argued that the so-called ‘Modi wave’ in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections was not driven by voters, but it was driven by voting machines. However, instead of rejecting the EVMs and forcefully demanding the elections on paper ballots, the opposition parties willy-nilly accept EVMs and after losing the elections they keep blaming these machines. Most opposition leaders are so weak and naive that they do not understand the functioning of EVMs and how they are manipulated.

Recently, Modi said that EVMs are being cursed because his opponents have realized that people of India love Modi and it will not be possible to defeat him and his party BJP. So, he said, they have started finding faults with EVMs. “अपनी पराजय का ठ करा EVM पर फोड़ने क शु आत इ ह ने पहले से ह कर द है ।दे श क जनता जब अपने इस चौक दार (watcman) को इतना ेम दे रह है , तो बेचार उस EVM मशीन को भी गाल खानी पड़ रह है ,” Modi stated. Response on Social Media There is a massive response from people about the EVMs issue on social media sites such as Facebook. For example, you can check out the users’ response on Facebook Group 1, Facebook G roup 2, and Facebook Group 3. Although Mamata Banerjee has blamed EVMs and has vaguely urged the opposition parties to fight the battle together, the opposition leaders have no game plan to dethrone Modi even if he wins deceptively with the help of EVMs. As Modi has won again, all these opposition leaders will keep crying for the next 5 years and Modi will stay in power without any resistance from the opposition parties. Vulnerability of EVMs As the vulnerability of EVMs is clearly visible, it is believed that only those politicians and political parties will win future elections in India who know the art of stealing voter databases and hacking EVMs. The weakness of EVMs in election systems has been manifested by professional hackers who participated in the Def Con convention in Las Vegas where they broke into the voting machines to manipulate the voting options. A dedicated platform “hacker voting village” at the convention allowed hackers to break into over 30 popular voting machines as well as voter databases to exploit the vulnerabilities in order to change the outcome of an election. Reports suggest that hackers were able to gain unauthorized access into voting machines and e-polling software within an hour. They could also steal remote access to tamper with the voting machines. The Def Con experiments must be an eye-opener for the Election Commission of India (ECI) that baselessly claims that it is safe to use EVMs while most ECI officials are traditional bureaucrats who have hardly any knowledge of electronic systems. The Election Commission also has autocratically rejected the opposition’s demand to hold elections on paper ballots. Obviously, BJP will always oppose paper ballots and any investigation into the misuse of EVMs because they favor the ruling party. And it goes without saying that the Election Commission - which is a toothless outfit - will always obey Modi.

Reports also reveal that these days India’s critical institutions such as the courts, law enforcement agencies, and election commissions are headed by those officials who have dubious records and who can be blackmailed to toe the line of the government.
Hacker Voting Village at Def Con Convention in Las Vegas Election Frauds While most politicians in the opposition parties - who have been randomly opposing EVMs and demanding elections on paper ballots - are not quite educated, they will not be able to argue intelligently against the use of EVMs. That’s why ECI ignores their demands for paper ballots. The Indian politicians fail to understand that now even in advanced democracies such as the U.S., paper ballots integrated with digital technology are used to ensure integrity of elections. The Indian opposition parties also can learn from the example of 2016 U.S. presidential election that was allegedly hacked by Russian hackers to help Donald Trump win. Now, special counsel Robert Mueller - who was investigating the election frauds and if they changed the outcome of the election - has released his report after almost 2 years of probe. The U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded that Russian hackers had targeted 21 U.S. state election systems in the 2016 presidential race, although Russia has dismissed the allegations. However, the U.S. Congress led by Democrats is planning to impeach Trump who allegedly colluded with Russia to win election deceptively.

Russia is believed to be an expert nation to change the outcome of elections by exploiting digital vulnerabilities. It is largely believed that Russia used its tech prowess to interfere in the U.S. presidential election to help Trump win. Earlier, a former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein had raised doubts about the faulty voting machines and stolen voter databases in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Stein had launched the Count My Vote campaign, saying that machine insecurity, inconstant practices, and the large number of vote changes all point to a system that is broken. It is also believed that Russian hackers helped Trump campaign steal voter databases and change vote count in Trump’s favor. The voter databases in the U.S. are similar to Aadhaar databases in India. It is possible to hack the Aadhaar databases, link the individual records with the EVMs, and change the vote count in favor of a particular candidate of a particular party. Since Aadhaar was expected to be the primary target to steal votes, the Modi government was trying to make Aadhaar compulsory for all bank account holders, mobile phone users, and others. A former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India Om Prakash Rawat has been quoted as saying that he prefers a connectivity between Indian citizens’ Aadhaar numbers and voters’ identity. Rawat, who worked under Modi government, believed that biometric data in Aadhaar should confirm the identity of voters before they use the EVM to cast their vote. He, however, did not want Aadhaar data integrated into EVMs, suggesting that EVMs must remain standalone machines with no connection to any other device or to the Internet. But Rawat’s strange suggestion that Aadhaar cards should be linked with voters’ identity lends credence to the fact that the combination of Aadhaar and EVMs can be used for voting frauds in India. Since Aadhaar data manipulation did not work, the EVM continues to be the primary weapon to win election battles. Top tech experts believe that it is very easy to tamper with EVMs in India and change the election results fraudulently in favor of certain candidates. In their study on EVMs in India, security researchers from India, the United States, and the Netherlands argue that “contrary to claims by Indian election authorities, these paperless electronic voting systems suffer from significant vulnerabilities.” The researchers also have found that even brief access to the machines could allow dishonest election insiders or other criminals to alter election results. They have developed a video to demonstrate their claims. Role of VVPAT The opposition parties in India had baselessly accepted EVMs integrated with Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) for the Lok Sabha election. But with this acceptance they had embarked upon a suicidal mission. They don’t understand that EVMs are vulnerable even with VVPAT. REAL VOTER News Magazine on Politics in India

Although VVPAT is supposed to provide a mechanism to audit the votes polled in an election, it is still not a foolproof solution because despite ECI’s claims VVPAT option may not be available with each EVM. Moreover, every voter will not (and perhaps cannot) demand the paper proof after voting. And if a defeated political party wants to recount the votes using VVPATs, it will create a chaos after every election. Therefore, the ECI has not accepted the opposition parties’ demand to match 50% of EVM results with VVPAT. It is not only the electronic security of EVMs that is under doubt, but the physical handling of machines also needs to be examined. A former Chief Election Commissioner of India Dr. S. Y. Quraishi said recently that custodial security of the machines is central to EVM security. Quraishi was responding to the reports that EVMs’ first- and second-level checks will be outsourced during the elections. “It is disconcerting. Must be stopped forthwith,” Quraishi said. It was also reported that the Supreme Court of India had agreed to hear a review petition seeking further increase in random matching of VVPAT slips with EVMs in the Lok Sabha election. The petition filed by 21 opposition leaders had demanded 50% VVPAT verification. However, there was no positive decision. Election Results with EVMs Although Congress had recently defeated BJP in a few state elections, it is said that BJP allowed Congress to win in small local elections so that Congress should not complain against EVMs in the countrywide Lok Sabha election. In response to the repeated aspersions cast on EVMs used in elections, the Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora has ruled out the possibility of machine manipulation. He said that even in the recent elections in the five States, out of a total of 176,000 polling booths where EVMs were used, there were six incidents of violation of Standard Operating Procedure, particularly in reserved EVMs not used in the actual elections. “Although the ratio is negligible, even in these cases stringent disciplinary action was taken and ECI has and always will have zero tolerance to any kind of errors in the election process,” Arora reiterated, although his claims cannot be verified. Moreover, a fact is conveniently being concealed that there will be no glitch in the EVMs that are tampered with to change the election results. Rather, the EVMs are programmed in such a way that they deliver the desired results while working normally. The election authorities also hoodwink the Indian politicians - most of whom are uneducated and gullible - by saying that the EVMs are being used in Indian elections for the past about 2 decades, but there were no complaints about them. This is an absurd argument.

Picture this: Gas chambers always existed but there were no complaints about them. The misuse of gas chambers was reported when Nazi Germany used them for mass killing of Jews. Similarly, there are no complaints about guns till the time they are used to murder others. The Indian election authorities must understand that EVMs are always vulnerable and now a particular political outfit has decided to exploit their vulnerability to gain electoral advantage deceptively. So, the election commission should not ignore the complaints of political parties. It is also seen that the dishonest governments that control EVMs as well as the election authorities do not manipulate EVMs blatantly for the fear of being caught. They take the help of EVMs to change election results only in key polling stations where their candidates do not hope to win. While there are repeated claims and counterclaims about the digital security of EVMs, the Indian government must have invited independent international observers to supervise the functioning of EVMs in the Lok Sabha election in order to ensure the fairness in the election. Now, the opposition parties must unite and demand the counting of votes under the supervision of international digital experts who can pinpoint the exact manipulation, if any, of EVMs in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. If there is any doubt, all the parties should reject the results given by EVMs. If this is the case, there is no harm to demand the Lok Sabha election again on paper ballots after a few months. The opposition parties must do it in the form of a campaign in order to save the democracy in India which is under the attack of the machines. They must also demand the formation of a special all-party commission including international experts to probe the EVM-based voting frauds if they happened in the state elections as well as the 2014 Lok Sabha election. Underdeveloped Country In today’s increasingly specialized and cut-throat world, a person needs in-depth knowledge and extensive domain expertise to handle a particular department even in a small company. But it is highly unfortunate that people with no qualification or expertise become Presidents, Governors, Prime Ministers, ministers, and bureaucrats in India to manage highly complex domains of governance. That’s why India continues to be a poor, underdeveloped country.

The politicians and the political parties that have lost the Lok Sabha election are so dishonest that they can’t speak the truth even after their defeats. On the one hand, they have been shouting from the rooftops that Narendra Modi’s party BJP wins elections fraudulently by tampering with electronic voting machines (EVMs), but on the other hand in their post-poll messages, they say that they accept people’s verdict. This is a paradoxical position. How can it be voters’ decision if machines were made to cheat with the aim to help BJP win? These dishonest leaders deserve the defeat because they are the enemies of the truth. If they really believe that BJP has manipulated the EVMs in connivance with the Election Commission of India (ECI) to change the results in BJP’s favor – as most opposition leaders assert - they should openly say that they don’t accept the EVM results. These results are not based on the votes of Indian voters. Rather, the opposition leaders must maintain that BJP and its alliance partners have won the election fraudulently by cheating the voters. No wise Indian voter can vote for BJP because in the past 5 years, the Modi government has done such a damage to the country that now India will remain an underdeveloped nation for many decades. Under the Modi government, corruption is rampant, unemployment has spread like a pandemic disease, courts work in a dishonest manner, law-enforcement agencies have stopped working, and economy is in the doldrums. Plus, Modi and his clique have spread such a hatred among different sections of the society that the world’s top magazine TIME has called Modi a divider-in-chief. In its latest article, the magazine has counted a number of instances where Modi has been trying to divide the country of 1.3 billion people on caste and class lines for his personal political ambitions. Moreover, in the recent RMN Poll, only 18% people said they are satisfied with Modi’s work and many believe that he has brought the country on the brink of disaster. Now it will be extremely difficult for India to recover from the ruins, and the country will eventually fall in the graveyard of those poor countries that have almost gone extinct. Then how can real voters – men and women - vote for Modi and BJP? That simply means that Modi and BJP have won with deceit by tampering with the EVMs and using other deceptive tricks. Today, millions of Indian voters are totally confused because they do not know how BJP has won – with their votes or by using other unscrupulous tactics. Now, it is the responsibility of the defeated politicians to bring forth the truth of the flawed Indian electoral system and how it is misused to hoodwink the voters. If you can’t diagnose the disease, how will you treat it? If they are really interested in repairing the fractured political system, the Indian politicians must speak the truth by saying that they do not accept the election results given by the EVMs. They will have to show some courage. Environmental Damage and Pollution in India Appeal to Global Community A new IQAir AirVisual report, which covered 3,000 cities of the world, has revealed that Gurugram (a.k.a. Gurgaon) a suburb of India’s capital New Delhi is the most polluted city of the world while 22 of the top 30 polluted cities are in India. Also, Delhi remains the most polluted capital across the world. As pollution levels remain dangerously high throughout the year in India, all travelers including business executives, tourists, and diplomats need to exercise utmost caution while planning to visit India – particularly India’s capital New Delhi. Moreover, companies and investors must not come to Delhi for setting up their businesses or for trade conferences as pollution can harm them as well as their families. Foreigners who have come to stay in India for their work, should preferably go back to their countries. Or, at least, they should not keep their children with them because Delhi’s pollution is very harmful for children. Delhi Government, the Indian Government, and the pollution-control agencies are not taking proper steps to control pollution because most politicians and bureaucrats in India are corrupt, uneducated, and careless. The extreme pollution in Delhi is being compared to the poisonous gas chambers used by Nazi Germany during the Holocaust for the genocide of millions of European Jews. As pollution in Delhi / India is harmful to millions of Indians as well as people in other parts of the world with its impact on global warming and climate change, its lethal effect is equivalent to weapons of mass destruction. The Indian government - including bureaucrats and politicians - is causing serious environmental damage which is harmful for the entire planet. Therefore, the global community including the UN and the U.S. Department of State and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) must impose strict economic, diplomatic, and trade sanctions on India and Indian officials.
