Tara Erraught Opera Gala RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra Giacomo Sagripanti conductor

Praised for her rich voice, expansive range and appealing stage presence, mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught has been hailed as ‘a true rising star’. Her international stature has continued to grow since she stepped in on five days’ notice learning and performing the role of Romeo in Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Bayerische Staatsoper in 2011. With appearances with companies such as the Bayerische Staatsoper, Hamburg Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper and Glyndebourne Festival Opera, recital tours of North America, and, in May 2015, her Washington National Opera debut singing Angelina in La Cenerentola, this vivacious and radiant Irish artist is every bit the rising star many have proclaimed her to be. In her first opera gala with the RTÉ NSO she is joined by the Italian conductor Giacomo Sagripanti, whose future plans include a new production of The Barber of Seville in Paris (Bastille), La Cenerentola in Hamburg Staatsoper, La Gazza Ladra in Frankfurt and L'Elisir d’Amore at Opernhaus Zurich.
