STAYING TRUE TO YOUR VISION
By MIKAEL EJEMAR VIKSTRÖM, RTI Magazine Editor, 2021-2022
ANOTHER ISSUE OF LEGACY MAGAZINE awaits you! We are so proud to present the penultimate issue for this year. Yet again fully packed with stories and articles to enrich your life as a Tabler.
Since we are just under two months away from the World Meeting in Copenhagen we have included a guide to all of the RTIWM Virgins out there (myself included). What can you expect? What necessities should you pack? And what not to miss? Read it all on p.80.
When we started discussing what Legacy Magazine was going to be, we were united that we wanted to move away from the newsletter format and make this magazine a lifestyle magazine for Tablers. How can we put together a magazine that has many touchpoints in a Tablers life? That can help Tablers from local clubs and up to improve as a Tabler and a person? I think this issue is a very good example that we have succeeded!
Are you a foodie (or an aspiring one)? Head over to p.60 and get lost in the world of wine and food pairings. I for one got very hungry, and thirsty, reading this article.
Or perhaps you are a gamer with a need for speed? On p.36 Mr David Joe Williams gets nostalgic and reviews his favourite racing games.
And if you are gifted with the ability to grow a beard but are having trouble taming your mane, look no further! Turn to p.48 for the best tips on how to take care of your facial hair.
Not only do we have a great selection of lifestyle content, but also a lot of articles to help you as a Tabler, friend, and overall person to improve yourself. The Tabler 4 Tabler initiative this coming month is a huge step towards ending the stigma around how we approach and talk about men's mental health. To be able to help another brother or person around you we need to start talking. And the Tabler 4 Tabler is a great way to start.
We are getting close to the end of this term. But still there's one last issue of Legacy Magazine left. As per our motto, we want to continue improving the Magazine. So if you have any feedback or suggestions - feel free to contact me or our Public Relations Offi cer Paul Hoeksema. Or why not take the chance to tell us in person at the RTIWM in Copenhagen? Because you'll be there right?
Yours in table

REFLECTIONS ON BUILDING A LEGACY
By GRAHAM CORNELISSEN, Round Table International President, 2021-2022
AS I APPROACH THE END of my tenure as RTI President, I reflect back on my period served. Although there might have been some low points in the year, the high points and successes far outweigh these. Meeting so many great Tablers worldwide and hearing their stories makes serving as President an easy task. Before starting this journey, I promised to focus on growth, service to our members, updating our branding, and striving for greatness.
We presented several strategies to grow Associations from a club level upwards. We rolled out the Global Headhunter program to assist our Members in getting new blood into their Associations.
Working with our Regional Chairman, we moved closer than ever to our Members. We actioned all main feedback points on the Voice of Tabler survey and feedback received via Association reports. Our RTI University programmes deliver value to our Members on all top requested items.
Our Public Relations and Branding have been completely updated to be more consistent, representative and in one voice. From updating our website to the publication of this incredible Legacy magazine, our communication has never been better.
Having finalised the 5 pillars of service, we ran global projects on each pillar. Extensive work and planning on these pillars allow future years to carry on these projects seamlessly. We took the next step in international service by founding a separate not-for-profit entity in Luxembourg that plans to present Member projects for funding. Our focus on Mens Mental Health in August is highlighted in this edition through a detailed article as well as an RTI University show on the 6th of August.
In addition to the above, we have provided more funding than ever to floor Tablers to travel in the form of Explore Round Table. The E-club structure is up and running, ensuring that no Brothers should go lost when circumstances beyond their control change. Several other ongoing projects brought sports to RTI meetings, acts of kindness and member benefits to everyone. We are highlighting some of these in this edition of Legacy. The upcoming RTI World Meeting in Copenhagen promises not only to be the biggest RTI event in living memory but will also be the culmination of efforts done by many over multiple years. This celebration of all that happened and is yet to come will be a highlight for all those attending. This edition has several articles to share information and build anticipation of the upcoming RTI World Meeting.
Being the head of a global organisation like Round Table does take a toll on a person. Only by taking hands with others and collaborating can a person indeed be effective. I thank everyone who has worked with us this last year and for truly living the spirit of being #StrongerTogether. See you in Copenhagen!
Yours in table
