EXPANDING

WITH THE RTI E-CLUB

By Mr GOTTFRIED LUMPI , Community Service Offi cer CEER ,Council Member RTI E-Club

One of the biggest challenges for anyone moving to a new place, new culture, new environment, and work will always be to stay connected. By defi nition, it seems to be easy nowadays with all the Social Media apps. Yet, it has become more challenging because so many are out there. For this reason, the RTI Board called for action to create a place for Tablers to stay connected and expand globally.

“Taking it to the world being boundaryless.”

Jayant Agrawal, RTI Vice President

The RTI E-Club is an associate Member of RTI in the CEE Region. The goal of the E-club is to be a safety net for Tablers that might be lost and do not intend to compete with any existing Association. The initial draft constitution was drawn from the current Round Table constitution. One of our challenges is that we will simultaneously be an Association and a local virtual Table consisting of worldwide members. This will allow us to onboard prospects in countries or locations where there is no tabling and support to create a local physical Table or Association in the long run.

“An initiative to retain the knowledge, experience, and skills of brothers who otherwise would be lost to Round Table.”

Jayant Agrawal, RTI Vice President

We focussed on recruiting experienced members to form a competent board for the initial year. The current members are Andreas Mussger (An Austrian living in The Netherlands), Alex Henderson (A Seychellois in China), Marius Krichel (A German in China), Christoffer Virtanen (A Fin in The Netherlands), Gottfried Lumpi (An Austrian in South Korea). As the Vice President of RTI, Jayant Agrawal plays an integral part in the E-club Structure. After our AGM planned in August, we will also open up to non-experienced members. This will allow us to focus on adding new blood to our Club and helping to expand our movement.

We have set the following criteria to join RTI E-Club; Tablers who move to a country with no active table or

Association

Tablers in an Association with no active Table within a 50km radius Tablers who live in a country with active Association and Tables but have a language or other barrier and no international table available

Prospects who cannot join an active table due to the points above

Supporting Tablers and prospects to charter a local

Table where none is currently present

“With the RTI E-Club, we can give every nation the possibility to join the Round Table, even though we were not able to charter them in the past. Members will feel connected and can live the spirit of RT within our movement.”

Marc Germeshausen, CEER Chairman

“During COVID-19 Lockdowns, we have adopted the possibilities of online meetings. We have adapted those possibilities into E-Club. Let us use them to improve tabling for all Tablers without a nearby Table.”

Jule Gosschalk - CEER Chairman Elect

We currently meet every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 13:00 CET. This allows us to have everyone in the world join us from the morning hours in the USA to late evening in Asia. Everyone is welcome to join us, and please let us know when you know of a Tabler being all alone out there. We also have our fi rst prospect Gilbert OwusuAfriyie (Ghanaian in China), who is very active. We are awaiting another prospect and two Tablers (RTD and RTBI) to join us in our next meeting.

Additionally, we have invited prospects from Spain to join us. Please complete the form on our website (https:// round-table.org/e-club) if you know anyone you think could be a member of our RTI E-Club. Every Tabler is welcome to join our Discord Server RTI E-Club (https://discord. gg/5MyRWfas).
